This is a seriously tiny post office location. I have been in my share of small, one person, post…read moreoffices: this one is one of the smallest. There are a couple of parking spots on the left side of the building for patrons and plenty of on street parking available. Post boxes are located on the sidewalk directly in front for 'walk up' mail drops; no driving up to these boxes, they are on the passenger side of your vehicle. The entrance is a short ramp from the sidewalk. Just inside to the left are P.O. Boxes and ahead is a small counter area. There is a lot going on in this small space. There are no more than several dozen post office boxes I would say in total in a small nook. Didn't actually count them. The counter space it self is mainly clear with a scale on the right and the computer system further on, out of reach. There is a plexiglass in front of that section keeping you off the the side during your transaction. The one person working was in back when I arrived. These smaller locations employ literally one person who is responsible for receiving mail, sorting, 'putting the mail up' into the PO boxes, providing customer service and all the attendant business related paperwork. I just waited patiently for about 45 seconds until they came out to see if I required assistance. Masks are required to be worn by customers during this time, and the person assisting me was wearing a mask. Hand sanitizer is on the counter. I had some cards that needed weighing in case they were overweight; they were. I also needed more stamps as my last round of card sending depleted my stock. There is a lot of card and post card sending happening over here lately. Staying in touch with friends and family during this time of often feeling isolated is a nice surprise. I know I appreciate it when I get a surprise card in the mail. The items I requested (two specific types of stamps) were procured, cards weighed, stamped and given over to be added to outgoing mail were all accomplished quickly and professionally. This location is not exactly 'on my way' generally speaking, but I would not hesitate to stop by here at any time when I am in need of more postal supplies.

There was a short line, and one employee on the register. He was delightful, chatting up all the customers, getting a few laughs and smiling like he just loved serving the public. You don't often get that at a post office and it was very refreshing. The line moved along pretty well depending on how many items each customer had to process and everyone was patient. There are a couple of tables in the lobby for filling out forms. One gentleman must have purchased stamps and was putting postage on a pile of cards at one of the tables. They have PO Boxes, shipping materials and cards for sale as well as flat rate boxes and envelopes available in the lobby so you can box up your items before going to the clerk for service. Passports are not processed here, but at the Warwick Post Office. Plenty of parking in their private lot, which is 'one-way'. A drive-up mailbox is located at the parking lot exit. Wheelchair buttons to auto open the doors if you need assistance are to the side of the entrance.

I could probably be considered an "annoying client" because I often try to pick stuff up when I know it is there- but they always have no issue and happily do it! I also like to come in close to closing time (which isn't really that big of a deal bc all my labels are prepaid) but when I see the door locked and closed at 11:58 on Saturday's and on 4:58 during the week I get really upset because they shouldn't be closing early no matter what! But come to find out it's a gentleman who always closes 2 minutes early! It's a man that is constantly closing 2 minutes early- so kudos to the women who work here but the man who constantly closes early that's not right and it almost caused me to avoid this PO completely. If it weren't for the women who have helped me the last few times I've been in- I may not have returned! So thanks ladies for being consistent and amazing ! And the guy who closes early- PLEASE DO NOT!!!!

But this location right here is ALWAYS crowded and always has a line out the door, okay so why am I rating it 4 stars? I love the people who work here. They're great. Even with a long line they manage to accommodate and help each customer and smile. There's an older man at this location he's my favorite he's wry friendly and is always trying to give advice since I do ship very much. It's always smiles here. The only downfall is no matter what time it is this place is packed, but I never really wait in line too long it moves pretty fast. They also have a self service kiosk at this location as well to make things a little bit easier. This place is also very clean which I enjoy very much. This has to be my favorite USPS location, they do need more workers though.

This past Christmas I shipped a box to Florida from this post office - cost over 100 dollars. Estimated arrival time on the late end of the window was going to be the day after I landed there to visit family, this was shipped 2 weeks prior to the trip. 2 days after I land, my package does not arrive. Tracking tells me it's in the local Florida office - I go there, it's not. To make a long story short, lots of calls are placed. The day I leave Florida the tracking tells me that it's back in Providence, headed to Johnston. The morning after my flight gets in I go to this branch, wait 25 minutes in a line and learn that THEY CANT FIND MY PACKAGE. I request to speak to the supervisor, they tell me they'll call me. 5 hours later they tell me they located the package, then admit it was their error with box labels that resulted in my package failing to arrive. I retrieve my box and request a refund, since I paid postage to have something delivered to Florida and I am standing in the same place I sent them out of 2 weeks prior holding my item - they tell me they don't do refunds, so in this instance they essentially stole my money since I paid for a service that wasn't rendered and ruined a family holiday celebration. Unless you need to use the post office - go ANYWHERE else - carrier pigeons are faster and more competent.

This location refused to ship my package, stating that my item had to be in an unwrapped box, because conveyor belts would "tear the paper up" (gee, if the conveyor are that rough, I feel bad for the people who have to work around them). They then offered to sell me a box - for $12! Uh, no way, Jose. I drove to another FedEx location, which was much more helpful (and pleasant!), saying I could just add some strips of clear tape to reinforce the paper, without having to re-box my item. He even offered to let me use their tape. The only reason I am giving the location at 1000 Bald Hill Road two stars, instead of one, is that they are open until 7 p.m. Doesn't matter to me, though, as I won't be going there again.

This was Michelle at their front desk so instead of course they offered to repack the shipment and one of their boxes they wouldn't let me just duck tape over or cover up the issues that they had with the box, I believe this is their way of sticking it to the customer. I understand FedEx employees are completely subcontractors, but just another reason why UPS is the far better choice I've never had issues there.
