If you're looking for incompetence. Poor communication & people losing your package. This is the place to be.

It's insane how bad this particular post office is, Pretty much every week I get a note saying that…read moremy item was delivered to a parcel locker at USPS facility. Even though my mailbox is not full like at all. Ive spoken to other neighbors and this seems to be a common occurrence. The drivers just seem lazy AF. It seems like they reach a point where they stop wanting to make deliveries and instead just leave little notes. Like this shit is criminal.

This post office constantly causes me numerous problems. The mail carriers are not instructed to…read moredeliver packages to the address. Instead, they take the packages to the neighborhood mailbox hub, and nine times out of ten, they will NOT leave your package. Instead, they leave countless slips of paper saying "your mailbox was too full OR your package was too big. " Since this is a rural area, I understand that home delivery isn't always feasible. However, if I live just .03 miles beyond the maximum delivery distance, is it really that much of a burden to simply deliver my packages? At the very least, extending the operating hours would help those of us who work for a living to send and pick up our parcels. I receive many packages essential for my job, and when I can NEVER GET THEM or cannot pick them up, it causes huge problems for my family and me. The most frustrating part is when I finally reach the post office, I have to stand there for hours, telling the clerk repeatedly to go back and locate my package, because for some reason they are eager to tell me "noooo we doughnut half eet" five times before finally finding it and handing it over. They did this with a Mac All-in-One desktop computer- the package was enormous, but it took them four attempts to find it. I don't think I have ever been more frustrated in my life! And this is just one of many ridiculous experiences I've had with the staff at this location. This town has a HUGE problem with hiring family members and friends instead of competent, serious workers who know how to do the job. It's obvious that the people in these critical positions have no clue what they are doing or what it takes to do the job. Shameful!

"Oh no, not today!" She said out loud to no one in particular. I decided then that the UPS store I've been using for over 10 years wasn't going to my "go to" postal service - I found Postal store, next to the Los Agaves restaurant, they're amazing, fast, no charge like theUPSstore and didn't talk rudely to me or anyone else. I hope everyone finds them!

The last 3 visits they couldn't have cared less what was needed or how many people were waiting to be helped. I went in this time to have something copied and scanned, her attitude was beyond belief. I did not need a brain surgeon, it was a simple task. I was left standing at the counter while two out of three people went into the back for at least 5 min, then was told they couldn[t do what I needed, oh so sad too bad. And people still waiting in line with their packages. I left! Please know that I may be a senior but of sound mind and respect. Went to Parcel Post shipping next to Los Agaves beside Al's appliance and the problem was solved immediately and for 1/3 the price of UPS. They do all the UPS things, ofc problem things, and are super nice. UPS seems to think they are the only train on our tracks...NOT!! I am sick and tired of how seniors are sometimes treated here in GV. It is uncalled for...

After I wrote this review another mail truck pulled up to my…read moreneighbor's house and I went out to inquire about the package that has been delayed twice and for some reason the message from Amazon earlier was there was an attempt and they would try again?? There was no attempt I noticed as no one came to the door and nothing in the mailbox (the package was dog vitamins so no signature required thus the inspiration for this original review). After I gave the patient mailman an earful and he was polite to hear me out, he left and about an hour or less later he came back with my package and personally delivered it to my address. Now that is impressive! He said he was actually a supervisor out helping out on the route. I wished I would have asked for his name but he was excellent and made up for the bad experience of a twice delayed package. That is service at its best and I can't say enough about how great that truly is!! If you continue on and read my original review, it shows how I felt like the USPS has completely disintegrated into an almost useless Albatros and the original star rating was 1 star. Now its 5 stars because of that man who heard me out and actually went the extra mile literally to take care of the issue. Thank you Sierra Vista post office supervisor!!! ORIGINAL FRUSTRATED REVIEW: There aren't words to describe how horrible the mail service has been for the past year. Try calling either the local number or the national post office number and you will get only a waste of your time and nothing more. Its a total joke. The automated national system won't take a tracking number despite asking for it and then will not put you through to an agent without one. Locally there is a lengthy voice message about hours, passport info when it does final start to ring no one answers and eventually will time out with a fast busy signal. This is what we pay billions and billions of dollars for each year. WHY????

I said this is a care package going to a service member in an area of the world where they can't go to the local store and get a watch battery. She said it doesn't matter to her who it's going to, can't send a watch battery.
