All of the previous five star reviews for this business looked authentic. I submitted the project, using Yelp, to multiple businesses. Out of all the businesses that the project was sent to for the termite treatment, this was the only one that had a good follow up. All other businesses were like "call this number" or "visit this website". Desert Shield replied, via Yelp, and offered to drop by the very next day and asked for my address. Eric showed up the next day at the agreed time. He confirmed my worries about the lines being termite tubes. He pointed out a few more that I did not see. Eric explained the treatment process, gave me a quote, and had me scheduled via text by the end of the day for him to return for the treatment. The quote for the service was far cheaper than what my buddies told me they paid for similar services. And yes, this treatment comes with a five year warranty. They had to drill through a couple pavers to do the treatment. Eric placed the drill holes in the grout lines to better hide the holes. While it is pretty impossible to completely hide the holes after they're filled, I think he did a heck of a job and gave a great effort. Time will tell about how good the quality is of Desert Shield's product and process. However, I feel pretty confident I trusted the right guys for my termite treatment. Their previous reviews did not lie. This company was punctual, incredibly friendly, appeared knowledgeable, arguably cost effective, and communicated efficiently and without stress. I have already told friends and coworkers to let me know if they need termite treatment so I can refer these guys. If you are searching for termite treatment, your search is over. Side Note: If you have a project that needs to be completed, use the Yelp "project" service to send multiple requests and get messages back from multiple businesses at once. We used Yelp as a resource to help find a pest control company that uses methods to deal with termites and rodents without posing harm to pets and other wildlife. Desert Shield Pest Control is the company we went with after reading their reviews and analyzing reviews of other pest control companies. I scheduled an appointment with Eric to evaluate our situation and get his recommendations regarding an effective treatment plan going forward. He arrived promptly within the agreed-upon service window. We showed him what signs of pest intrusion we'd noticed and he explained exactly what he observed and educated us on what steps needed to be taken by both Desert Shield and us to help resolve the situation. Service window scheduling needed to flex the day of initial set-up and treatment from what we'd originally agreed. No problem for us. Glad the work was taken care of on a timely basis. Eric and Gabriel showed up at our home within the new service window. Work was done as agreed upon with professionalism, minimal intrusion and respect for all human and furry occupants. Eric promptly returned to deal with an additional termite tube that popped up during a recent storm and retreated some prior interior drill sites that we ran across (only because we now knew what to look for, thanks to him) at no additional charge. We are grateful for their service. Rolberto expertly did the initial pest and rodent exclusion work to seal gaps on both ends of our double garage door. I wasn't aware what a raceway that had been! Great job! He set traps to capture any that may have remained in hiding or may have gained entry afterwards, but he was spot-on in determining the point of entry. There have been no additional signs of any rodent activity. So much better! Follow-up monitoring requires scheduling a service window appointment for interior access. Rolberto also set up bait stations at key rodent activity areas adjacent to structures, where needed. His follow-up service has been very polite, non-intrusive and great at educating us on the process of how and what he's doing during location, monitoring, servicing and evaluating the effectiveness of bait stations' placement. Cynthia manages key office operations. Texting, emailing and leaving voice mails regarding any questions or concerns and/or following up on any matters that may come up will receive a timely response. I appreciate her assistance. Consider a crib sheet that could be handed out to customers during contract signing on how to set up auto-pay, as well as when and where to expect the arrival of invoices and billing statements. I feel this would have been helpful to me as a new customer. I recommend Desert Shield Pest Control service and consider their pricing to be reasonable for the value received. I personally prefer to hire local family-owned and operated businesses whenever possible, take environmental safety measures and especially appreciate those who choose to help customers located on the east-southeast side. We've been battling a mysterious pest issue at our new home and have cycled through multiple companies in town who tried, yet failed, to address it. After yet another sleepless night due to the pest noises in our wall recently, I did a Google search in a panic, desperately seeking SOMEONE who could help us finally resolve our problems. Pest Friends is new in town, but their reviews and website - and frankly, incredibly punny name - intrigued me. I reached out to them to make an inquiry and was almost immediately contacted by one of the owners. (Shout out to John for being so awesome!) Salomon came out for a free inspection the next day and we were so, so impressed with his professionalism, timeliness, and friendly demeanor. He helped to identify several areas of concern - that the other companies missed - and also located wasp nests in our roof vents (something that two other companies failed to see or mention). We were impressed enough after our free inspection to hire the Pest Friends to some exclusion work and trapping. Salomon and Darrell came out to perform the removal of the wasp nests and exclusion work and were extremely thorough. They checked every nook and cranny and sealed up the roof exterior, spending 5-6 hours total on the job. (Again, keep in mind here we'd already had two other companies in town do this work, and they caught so many things that had been missed!) Salomon also placed some traps and we were able to bid adieu to several patio pack rats! If that didn't leave me impressed enough, Salomon has contacted us multiple times to follow up & to see if we had other issues. We've been so happy with their service that we cancelled our contact with a bigger company in town and also hired them on to perform our bi-monthly pest spray. (Oh - and they're cheaper, too.) I would highly recommend this company, and Salomon and Darrell specifically, for any pest issues or maintenance. They are kind, professional, and throrough, and scheduling is easy and efficient. The company is small and it's clear they value their employees - and in turn, the employees clearly value customer service and taking care of their clients. Not the folks you should use if you have pack rats. Period…read more When we called for rodents in the attic we were told multiple times that they would not remediate or mitigate any intrusions. Okay okay we get it, you only set traps. Great. Anthony came out to provide an estimate ($450), walked the back yard and found a nest above our kitchen window - and didn't check the roof any where else. He told us explicitly they would be out every couple of days to check the traps. His specific example was they'd set the traps Friday, check Monday. Traps set around the yard on a Friday and they came back on Wednesday - five days later after we called about how much time had passed. We also said they were still in the attic. No one checked in the attic, other sections of the roof, got on a ladder, nothing. Rick said that he'd schedule a trap check for the following Friday which would have been 9 days later. That's when we were done. $450 dollars to set five traps and not come back for 5 or 9 days is absurd. When they do come, they check the trap, squeeze in more bait and bail. Five minutes max. It was a waste of time and money. Of note: Mr. Pack Rat came shortly thereafter, checked the roof with the nest and informed us that rats hadn't entered the house there. He checked the entire roofline and found the point of entry on the other side of the house and screened the hole that was in the plywood - something Pest Friends completely missed and wouldn't have done. He came out daily to check our traps, caught multiple rats, cleaned out the nest under the roof tiles and replaced them, remediated all of it until the roofers could fix the damage.

Selina's husband does tree work for TEP and her father-in-law grows trees. She is very knowledgeable and patient and told me that our idea of grafting a branch below the damaged area probably wouldn't work. She explained how to cut off the damaged area and because my husband could reach the area he pruned the damage off himself. However, if you need tree service or yard cleanup I would highly recommend this company based on Selina's knowledge and her patience while I tried explaining what our problem was. She's a great listener. I had sent her photos of the damage and she sent them to her father-in-law who felt that the graft wouldn't take on our tree. Less

My landlord Lori Oien claims that she doesn't get any notice from TrueBug Pest Controlin Tucson, AZ; and is upset with TrueBug about the lack of notice of when they will come. My landlord and TrueBug are blaming me for lack of entry into my apartment. My landlord Lori Oien is threatening me with eviction because of TrueBug's lack of the 48hr notice required by law. All I requested from TrueBug was the 48hr. notice required by law. I am supposed to have legal rights as a tenant under Arizona law. TrueBug doesn't respect my legal rights as a tenant. Furthermore,I have animals that could be harmed or killed by the pesticides. TrueBug making unannounced entries into my apartment when I am not there; sleeping; working on my computer; and in the shower; and/or when I am using the bathroom is a violation of my privacy. I have no problems with regular pest control every month. But coming into my apartment without notice constantly is an invasion of my privacy and the the law. TrueBug doesn't show any courtesy or respect towards me as a tenant when illegally entering my apartment. It is purposeful harassment. I will seek to get a restraining order to stop the illegal entries into my apartment. I wouldn't recommend their company whatsoever.
