I've always had very reliable service, both from my mail carriers and at the Naugatuck Post Office. Thanks for all the hard work you do!

I met Jessica, the owner and she was very helpful in getting me through all the paperwork. There are plenty of supplies in case you need bungee cords, quilts to protect your appliances, boxes, tape, and hand trucks. The van I needed was clean. The total cost of my rental was $105 and $5 dollars for gas. I drove 119 miles from start to finish. So I figure with soup to nuts it cost $1 a mile which had with it full insurance coverage. I can't complain. The owner was really nice. The worker who took back the van, was fast and efficient. I was on my way back home in 5 minutes. They sent my confirmations and final bill to my email. How great is that? Thank you, Jessica for providing an awesome rental experience. I will be back for my future needs.

I had a 10:00 AM reservation, but when I arrived there were already several people waiting in line…read more Unfortunately, there was only one clerk working, and that employee spent over 45 minutes helping a single customer while the rest of us just stood there waiting. To make matters worse, the general manager wasn't present, and there were no additional clerks scheduled--which is surprising for a Saturday, typically one of the busiest moving days of the week. Reservations are supposed to make the process quicker, but in this case it didn't seem to matter at all. Better staffing and management presence would go a long way toward improving the customer experience.

9/9/22, Here's a new company, out of New Jersey called, Drive-up Storage, that bought out ( this…read moreyelp site keeps inserting some name, Suit-Janet, in this space) Safe & Affordable Self Storage, and took over their accounts at 1257 New Haven Road Naugatuck CT 06770. Their introduction letter to me email didn't mention Safe & Affordable so it went into spam and I never opened it. I spoke to a woman yesterday about the auto pay account needed to be reset; she sent a poorly drafted contract, with very few stipulations. I started getting robo calls two days ago and today's robo call says don't let it go to collections. I feel it's a little heavy handed. I don't know this company. They have no reviews. We've been loyal, paying on time for like 5 years. It's not even cordial. The woman just works for a company, she's like just the facts. So I'll update this as it goes with them. One wonders why an out of state company picks up this small business. I gave three stars out of courtesy. Let's see if they even earn that.

Update to original below: I called and left 3 voicemails this week and no one returned my call. I…read moresent an email today requesting a returned call and finally received one. The person who called me (Melissa) told me that they're only open Tuesdays and Thursdays now. I said that explains why no one was calling me back, but they should probably add that to their communications they send as I received an increase email and it said call with questions. She said she regularly checks the email but as far as the voicemails clients are leaving while they're closed, she's "not doing all that." We are done this place and moving out. If you rent here, your rent will be increased every 90 days anywhere from $20-$50 more! Try public storage instead where it's only increased annually with 90 days notice of the increase amount If you've ever rented a storage unit before, you know they all increase the rates from what you pay initially. I had one a few years ago that increased rent annually. The contract of course says they can increase, it's to be expected. With that being said, my rental amount has increased 125% in 14 months. This most recent increase is the 4th or 5th increase in that timeframe. The last increase was 3 months ago. I called to see if it was a mistake considering how many times it had already increased. I was told at that time that I was now at the "usual price" for my size unit and therefore shouldn't see another increase for a while. Now 3 months later it's being increased again an additional $40/month. I called to get more information and left voicemails that haven't been returned. I am now paying more for a 5x5 unit than the current advertised price of a 10x15 unit. It just seems excessive and the misinformation and unreturned calls is frustrating.
