Can't say I agree with much of the not-so-good feedback on this post office. I've come here many of times and have received nothing but helpful service. Somewhat slow and understaffed at times? Yes. But nonetheless they get the job done and millions of parcels where they need to go. On my most recent visit, I was sending off a holiday package to my husband's parents in the UK. You'd think by now I'd have figured out how to correctly write their foreign address, but somehow I always mess it up. That being said, the woman working the post office counter was most certainly friendly and helpful. Oh and not at all irritated with me even though I needed to correct it... three times (*insert palm-to-head emoji*). Bummer you can't track USPS packages to England for some reason, so here's to hoping it arrives! Convenient location, super easy parking. Count on me to return. read more

Quick, friendly service, and generally easy-access post office. Even if it's on an incline, the sidewalks were clear of ice/snow. I didn't notice if they have a self-checkout machine for stamps and package postage, but the small lobby looked pretty well stocked with mailing materials. read more

This is by far the RUDEST post office experience I've ever had. MELODY, the clerk was awfully disrespectful and extremely unprofessional. She advised 5 people to go ahead of me as I carried my INFANT and waited in line for a LONG time because she said my form would take longer because I was mailing abroad. Then, instead of helping me with the form, she SCREAMED at me and told me to re-do it 3 times. She deserved to be fired for her incompetence and attitude, and so does her supervisor for watching and not doing anything about this. read more

Yes, the lines tend to be long and sometimes the customers don't what they want exactly (me occasionally), but the staff of helpful when I'm confused and seem understanding. This is my regular post office and I've never had an issue with my mail or getting anything sent. They sometimes helped me saved money but suggesting different ways to mail my packages. Also, what post office lines are long especially around the holidays (but also anytime during the year). There's also a grocery store across the street so you can get your shopping and mail accomplished in one go! Win win! read more

This post office is what I would categorize as fine. They get the job done but if you have to wait in a line good luck because it will move extremely slowly. There are never more than two employees helping customers, even at the times that there are a rush every day. They also are often chatting and holding up the line. Some days aren't too bad, but other days customers are made to feel like an inconvenience for even being there. Your package will be sent at the end of the day, but name sure you have done everything possible on your end to get things moving quickly. read more

Don't go here to get your passport done. The lady that was trying to help me claimed I needed my birth certificate ALONG with my old passport issued under 16 years old to get a new passport. However, that wasn't true, and even on the paper she handed me, it said at the top of the proof of citizenship portion "at least ONE of the following" then said either birth certificate or an undamaged old passport (I only had my old passport on me). She was very rude in trying to claim she knows what she's doing even though her own papers show otherwise... This may have just screwed my trip happening in under 9 weeks, which I would have needed the expedited passport service for. I haven't had issues with mail here, albeit being slow, however, but do not go here for your passport application appointments. I would have expected better and nicer service, even if I was actually incorrect. read more

Not like the suburban post offices. Had to mail a prepaid package and send a priority mail envelope. Went to bin to to drop off prepaid. It was blocked or locked or broken. Door wouldn't open. Thankfully a woman walked in where it wasn't her first rodeo. "the door jammed again? Just leave the package on the counter... They'll get it later" I thanked her... Now for the priority envelope. Not one envelope had glue tape on it. How are you supposed to seal these? Bring your own tape? So I drove to the Brookfield post office. I don't get the complaints. I come here a lot and I've never gotten anything less than great service. I've never had a long wait, I have had to wait for some ridiculous customers but truthfully I like how nice the postal workers are to lonely people. It's clear to me, some people come in here just to talk to someone, and the post office is more affordable than therapy. I'd say the biggest problem with this location is that it's up a steep Rohan-killing hill that's a lot more fun to bike down and away from than to approach up and towards. read more

by far the rudest and unpleasant human beings at the service desk. they will try to NOT help you in any way they possibly can. I walked up the the counter and without a word the tall African American lady stared at me. no greetings or "how can I help you" when I asked if they have tapw I can use she merely pointed at the tape. she couldn't be bothered to speak more than she had to and had the flattest affect I've ever seen in my life. talk about pooooooor customer service. will avoid going to her unless i have no other choice read more

It's a hit or miss with these people. If you are waiting for a package that has switched to them from another carrier, when you aren't waiting to go someplace they come promptly. If you have something planned you better forget it! Late as A Snail on crack especially on a Sunday! read more

Why you no have more clerks? Why I always wait in line to pick up package? Why you so slow? The clerks here are actually quite pleasant, there just aren't enough of them. The other really annoying thing is where the boxes are set up for shipping. It intersects the line. So, you've got people that are waiting in line with fully boxed stuff, and you've got people that are sorta in line who are boxing their stuff, and you don't know if you should pass them or not and it's just awkward all around. I think that the line is for people who are ready at this instant to go up and talk to a person, but I guess that's not a universal view. Terrible. Also, I never seem to be able to park out front because of the long lines, so I always park on the roof. That ramp be slick in the winter, homie. On the plus side, there is a self service package mail terminal, but everyone seems too stupid to use it so there's never a line. PRO-Tip. read more

The staff here is very friendly, but there are not enough working and the wait and parking are horrible especially with the silly street car messing things up. The post office boxes are nice for businesses or people with a transient lifestyle. While not a customer by choice, I think they do a nice job for a government outpost. read more

I've been coming here for a while and now know to budget 15-20 minutes a visit. Sometimes the self service desk is open, but it's rare. Last time I was in here I got scared and left because the people in line were starting to get vocal (swearing, yelling) because there was only one person behind the counter. Worth it to drive down to the St Paul location instead. read more

I've driven past this place several times yet must just be looking at Metro Market or getting done stuffing my face at Buca's to notice it. The other day after having a meeting nearby, I wandered in here to mail some packages for work. I was surprised on how long this post office is. They have TONS of PO Boxes that are for rent with most of them not having numbers yet since there are so many. You can walk in at two different entrances. It is all street parking yet in front and to the side of this location it is 15 minute parking signs so you can run in quickly without having to feed a meter, which is nice. The staff was helpful yet the place was a bit outdated. Overall, if you need a post office in the city stop on by yet it isn't the newest or nicest. read more

My go-to Post Office is in my neighborhood, on MLK. But, if I'm downtown or sending something with my fiancee (who is downtown daily), then this location is the one. At the holidays, I sent Fiancee with small stack of stuff to Post Office. Along with a handful of cards that needed domestic postage, there was one slated for Japan. Fiancee did not see this and slapped standard postage on all and dropped in the slot. Naturally, I was annoyed with fiancee and dreaded the inevitable return. It never came! I learned *yesterday* that my geeky Holiday Card/Letter indeed arrived in Japan! The USPS gave me free Air Mail! Thank you so much!! I love and support the USPS and this is one more example of what kind, thoughtful workers they have. read more

Always a wait, even if you're the only person in line. And that's not crazy talk, that's the real deal. If there are a couple of people in line, just a few, the wait is at least 20 minutes. Make sure you have your phone on you, or a book to read because you will be waaaaaaiting. Location is pretty good though, right downtown. Last time I went to a post office to mail a package, it was a huge debacle. Long line, rude customer service, and a wait that seemed like forever. Not this time, Not at this post office. This post office has lost my packages a total of three times in one year. I have lost over $100 in merchandise purchased online due to incompetence on the part of the delivery driver. At my apartment complex, packages are required to be delivered to the main office, and left with a staff member there, NEVER to be left at doors or at the mailboxes. For example, a package was listed on tracking to be 'delivered - front door/porch' but never arrived. Someone was home all day and never saw or heard the post man. The package simply vanished as the facility staff has not seen it and the post office cant find it either. Out of the three times my packages went missing after 'delivery' they only found one. Know where it was? On the deliver driver's truck. He never actually delivered it after scanning it out. Whats worse is the post office is less than two blocks from my building. Customer service simply blows you off, saying they will call you back after they investigate and never do. Even speaking to a manager results in 'the package must have been stolen, contact the sender. *click*' If at all possible, avoid sending main through this location. Your parcels will be lost. read more
