Friendliest, most helpful post office I have ever encountered. I've lived all over the country. This one is great. Keep it up!

That it's 2018 and I'm updating my review of the post office is odd. It's odd for many reasons. Mostly it's odd because I use this post office quite frequently, and over the years I've probably used just about every service that they have, from buying stamps, to sending important documents with signatures and tracking and all kinds of bells and whistles. But it's also a little odd, because I seem to be a dying breed. In a world where you can print postage at home, or have packages picked up, or 99.9% of the time just send it all digitally, I feel like some kind of anachronism. I like the feel of real stamps, on real paper, with real envelopes. In a digital world, I'm okay with being an analog communicator sometimes. Have a special laugh at me when it comes to postcards, especially. What prompted me to revisit my thoughts on the post office today, is that earlier this afternoon I read where someone was asking a question that struck my heart -- they were asking about postcards. "Does anyone still send them?" they questioned. I had to chuckle, because not even four hours before reading that, I had actually purchased a postcard (and not just a postcard, but a vintage postcard from the early 1900s) to send to a friend. You see, I have a collection of vintage postcards from places I love, and modern postcards from all the national parks and national monuments I visit. I love the fibers of the paper, I love the old pictures, and I love the nostalgia of postcards that are so closely tied to a time and a place. At antique stores I read old, already-sent postcards and imagine the look of delight on the receiver's face, and make up stories in my mind about how they knew the sender. The modern postcards I have are slowly aging, and will one day yellow and remind me of my travels as a younger man. To answer that question, yes. Yes, people still send postcards. I do. And I always will, as long as there's a postal system to deliver them. From simple gas station glossies to old linen lithographs, I will keep sending them. Will you join me? Are you the kind of person who still sends postcards? If you are you're my kind of person. Let's send postcards. Let's send them to each other. Even if we go to the same place, let's go home and send postcards to each other to remember the trips. This location has been my stamp central for a long time. Shout out to Jackie who NEVER AGES and is lightning fast at the register--that dude is an institution. He wasn't in last time I was there, which is a first. They were training someone new, so hopefully he was just taking time off. Boxes, tracking, signature, PO Boxes; they have almost everything here but a stamp vending machine. The service was great. The line wasn't too long. So many parking spaces to park. The driveway entering the parking lot is a little steep. Be careful and drive slow when entering the parking lot. During covid, they would wipe or spray the counters after every customer. I love how they make sure the counter is always clean. The only negative is that they don't have that much variety of stamps. Yes, I still mail cards and postcards out. It's always fun to see where your friends travel to. And a thrilling feeling when you received cards for different occasions. Snail Mails are the best!! More people should mail cards out for each other! read more

I love a good post office. I like this one because it's close and convenient, Midvale doesn't always boast those two qualities. The building is dated and there's usually a line when I come in, but the employees are quick and friendly. My one grievance with this USPS location is that it closes so early. Google currently says they're open until 5:30 on weekdays, though I swear they close at 4pm (Saturday they close 1pm) It's the only reason I go to other POs. read more

I love having a PO box so that I can get my mail after hours. This is a Small post office, they took out the service machines in the lobby. Now all they have is a mail slot for outgoing mail. read more

What a great post office. They often have a line, but it goes quick. The employees here work hard and are friendly. THey give you time to do what you need done, they don't push you out. There are definitely awful Post Office locations in the valley, but this isn't one of them. My only beef is that they need an automatic postage machine (they have space for it in the lobby) so I can just quickly mail a package without wait. But, as noted, they do process the lines pretty quick. I also live in the area and they are my delivery providers. Never had a big problem with mail - sometimes its mixed up, but never lived anywhere I didn't encounter an issue here or there. read more

I have never done a review in my life but I have had 2 problems with them now. The first, they shattered a package I ordered & even put it in a bag saying sorry they broke it (it was perfume so it was obvious they broke it) 2nd, I had two packages that they marked as delivered in mailbox on the 26th.. neither of them were there so I'm assuming they put them in the wrong box or checked delivered too early with the tracking. I never have to very long (if at all) wait when I come here, so this is my go to Post Office, even if it is the closest one to where I live. I almost always use the 24/7 machine for my needs, I can buy postage and ship packages from it, with or without my own box. However, you can only use a debit or credit card for the self service machine, so be prepared! There are always plenty of boxes and materials to use in the lobby area. Feel free to ask the counter employees if you need anything else, including tape, they are always very helpful and friendly! read more

My package has been sitting in limbo for over a week, I call multiple times with no answer. I called my post office in Minnesota to see if this was normal and they said it is not normal and they are looking into it for me. The shipper who Shipped my packed paid extra for priority, so it was supposed to be delivered on Monday December 13th but it hasn't moved from this post office sinc the 9th!!!! What is going on with my package?????? Will they ever do there job and get peoples items to them or dodo I need to call the BBB!!!!! My local post office is investigating the post office in Midvale UT, something has to be done, this is rediculous!!!!!!! read more

Since I run a little online shop, I stop by here quite a lot. Well, I never run into any problem here because I come in and drop off the package or pick up a package. The line is always short. The post office workers seems pretty friendly. When I was taking my time grabbing couple priority shipping boxes, they would ask me if everything is ok. "Everything is all good!" Just don't mind this little Asian woman taking long time to make decision on which free boxes should she grab.... read more

Sad place to consider a post office. Phone number doesn't even work. Employees act like they hate their lives. They put my mail into the wrong boxes many many times. I get mail for my neighbors all the time. They get my mail. Thank God my neighbors don't just keep it. read more

Worst post office ever for delivery. I have already complained about missing packages/letters and receiving other peoples mail, to just have my complaints ignored. I was told the problem would be resolved and that I would recieve a phone call from the post master, still waiting for that call! I keep get other peoples mail because of our careless carrier and the boxes clearly indicate the last names on each unit. It is nice to know that I am recieving other peoples tax documents during this time of year, makes me wonder where mine are going to end up! I am now starting to tell people I wouldn't send anything through USPS, unless you want to pay for unrealiable service. The only way I send things now is through UPS and FedEx. The front counter crew are really nice and I like them a lot, but the people who stuff the PO boxes have not done well over the past years. Yup, today, another misplaced package at Christmastime. Last year they didn't put a notice in my box so I never knew my box had arrived and I didn't have my mom's gifts in time for the holiday. She actually re-purchased items, sent again...come to find out the box was there since Dec 16. This year Surepost tracking says an item I'm awaiting has been there since Dec 19, and that notice should have been given...but no notice was in my box. I was there twice this week getting other packages. Now the location is closed and not open again until Dec 26. Great. Also, as other reviews said, often things are jammed in needlessly tight, and I too have had numerous letters torn open or looking suspiciously opened. I've tried to complain but didn't get far. I guess it's time to complain again. read more
