Review on passport experience only. My husband and I came with a passport appointment for our baby on a Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, the staff told us that unfortunately the camera was broken but they suggested to go to the Walgreens near by to quickly take the pictures. We didn't loose our reservation but we needed to go get the pictures at the pharmacy and return. We went there and got pictures done very quickly. We came back and they immediately started the process for the passport. Everyone was helpful. I believe Tavia is the name of the lady who took care of us. She was very professional, efficient and respectful. She did the process pretty fast and explained to us when and what to expect. I noticed there are many bad reviews for this location but I have to say my experience with the passport agent was pleasant. Other than the camera issue, everything was done on time and everyone was behaving in a professional manner. You definitely NEED to make an appointment for passport transactions and come with all your documents ready, then, they will be able to do their job in a timely manner. read more

It's impossible to speak with a person, and when finally I'm waiting for a call back to speak, the AI call have issue and turned the call off. So, my issues is that I'm waiting a package with 2 iPhones and coffee from Nespresso machine and I never received any, however, the system shows that it was delivered. All the reviews are about the rude staff... okay, hear me out. I just moved to Miami, and this location is the closest one to me. I've been to the post office twice, and both times, I've witnessed physical and verbal altercations between customers in line. Yelling, screaming, and fighting--all before 10 a.m.! The wait times in line are incredibly long, but it's not because of the staff. It's the customers who are incompetent, rude, and disrespectful. They refuse to listen to what the clerk is telling them and instead argue for 10 minutes. I feel sorry for the employees here. It's like a zoo. Absolutely absurd. read more

They said they added the APT number to the order and that it'll be delivered, well I guess no one actually put the number on the package so now it's getting sent back and I'm going to have to wait another week or two for it to be shipped back to me. This is my post office and such a shame that it is. It's down he street from my home and where my PO Box is located so I'm here frequently. It's the same 3-4 women employees and sometimes an older gentleman. The women are loud and not always so friendly. At least not all of them. It's always an experience here. Listening to them talk about their drama or watching them refuse to help someone because "I don't speak Spanish". The lines are usually always long and time management doesn't seem to be a concern here but what makes me the most upset is when you say hello or thank you to them and they say NOTHING back. Yo no habla espanol, b!Tch, have some respect and acknowledgment for how customers are supposed to be treated. And clean this f@ck!ing building, it's disgusting. read more

Note even though parking lot is small that is not the problem. The issue is if your Hispanic and only know Spanish they cannot help you since every one only speaks English so please be aware. Also, I've been noticing after several times at different days the location opens at a much later times. So if it says opens at 8:30am don't believe it they will not open at that time. What I have seen at least 10 minutes to 15 minutes after 8:30am. Also noticing many other post office close the doors early too. I've seen it happen to many locations not just this one. Wish they get more people to work and pay them better too. read more

I'm so mad at this location. Online and on the door they advertise they close at 6pm during the week and twice I have arrived by 5:30 pm and they are closed. There are obviously workers inside and even if you knock they will ignore you. Also been treated with an attitude every time I go like I'm expected to know how to send and how much a Certified Mail cost because I do it so often? Great USPS location! I loooove the United States Postal Service!! A public service that reaches even the most remote places of the country. And it's efficient. I am from Italy and I've dealt with "Le Poste Italiane", the Italian equivalent of USPS. You can't even imagine how bad it is over there. Hours and hours of waiting times, slow and rude employees, unreliable snail mail service. You are lucky if your stuff ever even makes it to the destination. Here they are fast, efficient, polite and they provide an extremely reliable service!!! Jorge (the usps employee who helped me) was polite, helpful and patient! Other employees also worked to speed up the waiting times! And to top it all, they are open on Saturdays!! A public service that's open on Saturday??! You can't beat that. It's really difficult to review this place because the issues really are the customers, not the actual post office. Every time I'm here the parking lot is completely full. The lot is sort of small so it doesn't take much. The line is always three rows deep. People never pay attention to what's going on. They don't have their paperwork completed before meeting the cashier. I watched 1 time where a woman argued with the cashier because she couldn't grasp that zip codes were 5 digits, not 4. I hate that it's the nearest available post office that's open while I'm able to go. If I had options I'd go elsewhere. That being said, the staff is so nice. I've never had an issue with them. Mailing my Christmas presents were a breeze. Getting stamps was simple. They make the wait ok. If you can wait, go elsewhere. If you have to go here, at least the staff won't ruin your experience. If only I could rate this place with negative stars. My husband stopped by the Jose Marti Post Office today 5/22/20 to discuss an issue regarding the placement of our new permanent mailbox for our home that has been under construction and used to have a construction gate with a temporary mailbox. Recently, the construction fence and temporary mailbox have been removed as construction is almost done, the new mailbox has been secured next to out front door, it is visible from the street and matches the exact placement we had before construction started. while also matching the placement of EVERY other house on my street and neighborhood. However, yesterday 5/21/20 the mail lady left a letter saying our new mailbox was "improperly placed". In addition, we have not been receiving important mail and packages for the last 2 days yet the mail lady was able to come place this said letter in my new mailbox yesterday. From the beginning, a (he wish he was) gentleman named JULIO greeted everyone at the door with a less-than-welcoming attitude. My husband explained my situation and was told to wait for a supervisor. After 20 mins, a lady came out and listened to what he had to say and told him she wasn't familiar with these situations so she asked JULIO for his opinion on the matter. JULIO proceeded to chant out "HE DOESN'T OWN THE PLACE, HE DOESN'T MAKE A PROFIT AND HE CANNOT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT", same words which he chanted to EVERY SINGLE customer that walked in after my husband for those 20 mins he waited. JULIO was extremely unprofessional, rude, belligerent and had absolutely NO WILLING BONE IN HIS BODY to listen or help us, let alone anyone who walked in this building. This person should NOT have physical contact with customers at all as he needs EXTENSIVE training in people skills, respect and most importantly CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please provide this employee (JULIO) some very much needed mental health services and kindly place an employee that is willing, able and determined to provide the customer service we deserve for services we pay for. Sad to say NOTHING was resolved today, no answers were given to our questions, no mail/packages have been or will be delivered for who knows how long. This is unacceptable. read more

We just can't do anything about it. It happens more often than we'd like and it is what it is." by their manager after losing my third package in a year. This is by far the WORSE post office I've been to. First all the attendant who's in charge of lost packages or I'm not exactly sure what he is in charge of. Maybe to try to be the least helpful as possible and yell out loud about your lost mail. First of all, he didn't bother to ask who was the envelope from. That it has been sitting in their post office for 2 weeks!!!! Haven't even sent back to sender and when I asked his answer is was oh because we destroy them. The issue was that the mail had the correct address and zip code. The only thing wrong was Miami was misspelled by ONE letter. Apparently common sense wasn't used and my time sensitive mail is either lost or destroyed, because of incompetence. He then said if it was time sensitive why use so cheap priority mail. Which he shouldn't care to ask me? I wonder if he would like to pay for my shipping from UPS to get my things over nighted. The reason also was because this mail was shipped on May 2nd!!!!!! May 18th and I have no answers from USPS. It should have taken 5 days.. Maybe 7 days. 2 weeks in and nothing. But the customer service here is truly garbage. I've lived all through South Florida so I've had to go to many post offices and this one is just so useless. Thanks guys for losing my mail AND now I will have to pay for expensive delivery like the "kind" attendant shouted out to me and the other people in line.
