In my opinion, the folks working there deserve alot more than 7 reviews! So here's mine. I've lived in Arnold almost 4 years now with my son. I'm female, 73, disabled and am a short Hispanic (can I add pretty, widowed, soon not to be disabled) woman. I just wanted y'all to know that from the beginning- the employees of the post office were friendly towards an outsider. Additionally, they are always very helpful, efficient, thorough and a total asset to the community. At times I felt embarrassed when I had to speak up and ask them a question... but they always put me at ease and never made me feel unequal. They frequently asked if I needed help with carrying out packages. So, yeah... how about some more reviews for these folks that work hard for us everyday!

I, being the good daughter that I am, drove down there to pick up the mystery delivery. When I arrived, the postal worker asked if he could be of assistance. I dutifully handed him the yellow slip and gave him the address. He went in the back to check. When he returned, alas no package. He was extremely apologetic and explained that sometimes substitute mail carriers leave a note in a mailbox to mark the beginning of their delivery route. They are supposed to pick them up but this person apparently forgot. He couldn't apologize enough for my making a special trip down to the post office. It really wasn't that big of a deal to me, but I appreciated his sincerity. Hopefully next time there really will be a package...maybe even a gift for me! ;)

In the past, USPS delivery in our area (near the High School downtown) was phenomenal - absolutely beyond reproach. I absolutely understand that COVID and staffing issues have hurt our local USPS and made it difficult to maintain the level of service that we are accustomed to. I fear that there may be deeper issues affecting delivery at this time. We are now at a point where about 1 out of 5 packages has to be reordered because there is an issue with delivery. Sometimes the package is marked "delivered" but no package arrives; we have had the package arrive days later (placed on the ground under the mailbox) and we have had the package arrive a month later, without fanfare and without any updates to the tracking information that says it was delivered weeks earlier. In the most recent instance, I filed a complaint; when I spoke to our rep, I was told that nothing could be done as the package wasn't insured and that their GPS showed the package had been scanned at our mailbox. I ordered a replacement (which actually arrived). When the original package was actually delivered, I took it to the post office asking that they please return it to the sender as it was no longer needed. They refused. The delivery issues are costing money and time and it's all extremely frustrating. It is notable that these issues started when Louis DeJoy took over leadership of the USPS and started looking to cut costs. :(

A couple of weeks ago our carrier marked that our house was vacant because we rejected some junk mail. I had to go to my bank to fix the problem because they sent a message to my bank that our house was vacant. The postmaster said he talked to our carrier so we could get our mail back. Then again we are starting to have missing mail problems. Mailman posted my husband's package was delivered and when I went to check, there was nothing in there. Please change this mail carrier. He is not an honest person.

He was the only one working for a little while and was able to multitask with ease with us having to take new pictures and help with the paperwork and helping a few customers along the way. I highly recommend this post office for all your needs. It's definitely worth it even if you have to go out of your way to get there depending where you are in Tuolumne County.

Awhile back I needed to get a passport photo taken. A staff member was quick to help me and he made sure to take some quality shots. Despite it being a busy time for the store - the staff made sure that they were polite to all people that they were assisting, despite the growing line. No one was rushed and each staff member was kind and patient in answering package questions, passport photo questions etc. It was evident in my recent trip here (and my other visits) that the staff at this UPS location genuinely care about doing a good job and their customers. Mailing out packages/and or passport photo taking is rarely fun - but this store makes the process as easy and as smooth as possible. Trust.
