Parking seems to be the only pain when it comes to this location. When you can find it easily, that's the biggest signal that they aren't crowded. As far as the customer service, it's efficient and quick. You're not standing in line too long because the employees move around and handle business efficiently. What I love about this location is the different provisions that are offered to handle b business. There's plenty of P.O boxes, self service machine, plenty of packaging and boxes to ship items. Communication is clear on how the business is ran and they are very clean.

Mail carrier lost our building key, again. This is the 3rd time. Whoever Bree is, she doesn't listen to the loud speaker or her supervisors. We waited 15 minutes for her to go collect my mail. She never came so supervisor had to do it herself. Manager, is never there, no email, no phone number- it's like she knows her building is trash so she doesn't put her name on it. It's 10:19am and these people are slow with no line. Makes you just not want to bother with them These people don't know anything.

    Official Marvin Gaye Post Office!

Just went in for a change of address and was helped by William who was very thorough and knowledgeable about the process. He made sure I understood the details and was kind and about as helpful as humanly possible! The service I saw at the other windows seemed to run smooth and up tempo! I noticed as I was leaving that it's the Marvin Gaye PO! Thanks for representing his legacy well, William and co-workers!

They served the queue skipping person like nothing happened. How is this even acceptable? The queue was very long and there was just one counter opening on the weekday. Another counter was for the passport which has a separate queue. Smiling staff and my goods arrived in time.

    Mercy mercy me!

Just FYI, this location is dedicated to Marvin Gaye who actually died near here. So props to all the mailworkers who have to deal with all the bs that is going on. It's bad enough you have to deal with the elements, dogs and risking life and limb going to the worse neighborhoods, but now with politic trash. In light of the pandemic going on these guys are still out there delivering our mail. Amazingly I haven't noticed everything is still getting delivered ina reasonable time. I had a package to deliverer to Greece and it got there in like 8 days. I'm so surprised. Just a note, get in early because lines can get long quick.

The blue door that no one answers.

Only one person works the window. If you are picking up a package, that person doesn't start until 9:30am even though the post office opens at 8:30am. Don't bother going to the blue door and ringing the doorbell or knocking for help with vacation hold mail pick up because they will never answer it. Long lines are constant because there is just one guy working the window. Staff here don't like the public and the public don't like them either. No point complaining about this post office on Yelp, instead, go to the USPS survey site and enter your review. Make sure to enter the Post Office zip code when they ask for it: 90007. https://uspsci.allegiancetech.com/cgi-bin/qwebcorporate.dll?idx=68AXQ8&POSMedia=0 This is their address: 3585 S Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90007

Worst Post Office Ever! Never answer the phone, nothing but rude employees, and horrible management! You guys need to learn how to communicate with each other!!! I've been trying to get ahold of the supervisor and they keep hanging up!

Efficient although slightly under staffed. They were well organized and the representatives were basically knowledgeable.

It is insanity. The tagging (the bad variety) the absolute lack of any semblance of sanitation and just outright disrespect for themselves and anyone that needs to actually mail a letter or pick up mail from a post box, is just ridiculous. Just nasty and pathetic because nobody on earth should be forced to live this way. With Measure H and many other billions of dollars "invested", DTLA looks like a dumpster infested with STDs on fire. And then they put it out with urine. Welcome to Westlake, where your dreams go to... get infected with preventable diseases? NOPE. NEVER. NOT THIS. Approximately 2 months ago there was a computer glitch that "closed" a bunch of the PO Boxes, allegedly. Then all mail was returned despite never getting a renewal letter and YOU CANNOT renew unless you have it, according to the counter "help". There's one guy here who is seriously one of the worst customer service people ever. He DGAF if he helps you or anyone else and he seemed genuinely angry that I asked him a question. Apparently they are currently fencing in this area. I'm not sure how that will help but I'm sure the fire station across the street doesn't miss this encampment that's been here for the past few years. It's appalling and tragic anyone lives this way in our "first world" country. I've seen cleaner bathrooms in bus stations than this fiasco. RUNNNNNnnnn!

And it's bizarre because there is a big parking lot in the back with open spots but signs everywhere saying for employees only. It's a huge location with a bunch of PO Boxes inside, but there's trash strewn about inside & outside, things are messy, it's quite dirty, the poor barrier the staff is behind is covered in carvings - it's just a mess! It must be really hard to work at this location honestly and I applaud the staff for handling so many people in a chill manner. At least the person who helped me was chill and we wished each other good days! :) However there was only 1 staff working thru the line while the other was tied up for the entire 30 minutes I was waiting. Like wowza, these long lines at non peak weekday times - had to spend my whole lunch break here - and no parking - nahhhh. I will never go to this location willingly again!

I can only speak for an older woman who works there. Upon going up to her, she was just speaking loudly to her coworker and not really paying attention to me or what she was doing. Which okay, fine. I came in to drop off a package and the label I had wasn't able to be read, which is okay and I understand. But the way in which this staff member spoke was unprofessional, unhelpful and lacked courtesy. I'm always polite to workers so I would hope that I receive reciprocal treatment. She cut me off before I finished speaking, when I was asking a question and offered no alternative solution. It was an off putting interaction and I hope the customer service can be at least improved to some level of standard.

Surprisingly, there were two employees working (which is rare for such a small store, but maybe because of the holidays). I waited about seven minutes before I was called. After me, about four or five people lined up, so it can get packed quickly. Service: I was just sending out a package related to health insurance. It was super quick. I handed it over, they scanned it, and gave me the receipt sticker. The employee was fine, not rude, but not overly friendly either. Just did the job and said thank you. Store Size & Atmosphere: It's a very small location. A customer was on the side loading a bunch of boxes onto a trolley which made it feel even more crowded.
