With as much traveling as I had been doing recently I decided it was time to register myself for…read moreTSA Precheck. Getting started is easy, it's the follow up that is horrible. Starting out it is all online. It goes fairly quickly and then you are kind of on your own. They tell you of nearby offices that will assist you with completing the precheck, but it kind of goes a bit haywire for the person and can be overwhelming. First, the location of this one that is located in Monroeville is so odd. Literally they tell you on the website that it is in the plaza next to Elmer's. That's fine and dandy, but that plaza has several businesses. Honestly, you would not know to come in here as the outside of the building is unmarked and adjoined to a Farmer's Insurance office. In fact, they are technically two different addresses with two different doors, but when you go inside it is all one shared space. Second, when you go inside there is no one at the reception desk. You just go in with hardly any direction and kind of figure out what to do. The whole time I was here, I didn't see anyone approach that reception desk and was worried that I wasn't going to be seen. Somehow, by miracle of miracles, someone did come and get me. What is odd is that everything you answered online, you will have to answer again here. Like every single question. Instead of all that information transferring in and being able to make this a quicker visit. The employees can be a bit terse, so I think Nancy can sit down for a minute. Looks like you just came on here to write a review to offset what is reflected. Unlike Nancy, my appointment wasn't for the next day and I had a wait a few days to get an appointment as I have a life that doesn't revolve around typical business hours for an office. I did receive my TSA approval rather quickly. Faster than what they report on the website. I think they claim anywhere from five to ten business days. I had it by the end of the week that I had my appointment.

Check their website for all that they offer. It is best to make an appointment ahead of time since appointments are given priority over walk ins. I had recently made application for TSA precheck and brought in my required documents to my appt. Once inside you sign an arrival registry and then asked to take a seat. Cell phone use is prohibited here so no photos were taken. I was called back within 5 minutes of my appointment time. I presented my appropriate documentation and was told I didn't need anything else. I sat in a bolted chair while answering background questions on a computer screen including criminal history. After that the lady did a complete fingerprint scan including thumbs and then I had to pose for a picture as shown on my identity card. Finally she took my credit card since TSA pre check requires you to make payment regardless of outcome for their services. She told me I would probably hear back from them in a few business days but to allow up to 60 days maximum for processing. The whole visit was about 15 minutes maximum. It is very important that you come in with the correct documentation requested since that will delay your application from being processed and you will need to return. When in doubt, check with the issuing agency of that document and they will steer you in the right direction. The lady who waited on my was compassionate and very friendly. She addressed my concerns and made me feel at ease. I'm looking forward to getting my approval soon since I saw they had processed the application when I got home. I have used Kelvin in the last five years to clean out three family properties and to conduct two whole-house moves. Then last move this past September was two, 55-foot and one, 20 foot tuck on a 170 mile move (see attached pic). The move was made even more challenging by the fact that it included a family member who has Alzheimer's, and needed to happen quickly and calmly to minimize disturbance to her routine. The team, as always, was professional, meticulous, and careful. I have trusted my family's properties and possessions to Kelvin and Djuan and their team for almost 20 years. I have watched Djuan grow up and become a solid and trustworthy business owner and leader, and know his dad would be proud. I highly recommend Kelvin D and Sons!

I'll take accountability in saying that I visited within the last 15 minutes before closing…read more I came in with a large box that I struggled to bring in due its size and weight, waited in line for most of this time slot, got to the counter and was demeaningly advised that they couldn't accept my box because it required more tape. I asked if it was possible if I could buy a few strips of tape from them and they declined--that's fine, because perhaps they're not allowed, nor it is their job. I then asked if I could leave the box on the side of the counter or on the floor (pushed to the side) so I could run out to the car and grab my tape, they stated I am not allowed to do that because they cannot be responsible for my package. While I understood that, I asked if they could please make a one time exception being that the box was a struggle to bring in, and my car is just right outside the facility; the answer was still no. At this point, it's about 4-5 mins before closing, I brought the box out to the car, wrapped it in tape like spider-man would wrap you in webs. It wasn't necessarily the taping that took up most of the time, but rather the transportation of the box itself. Once I got back into the store, it was about one minute before close. Another person before me was finishing up as I walked back in, I got to the counter and I was told they cannot service me with shipping my box because they're now closed. I asked if they could please allow me to ship it as it was literally the last day I had available before a move out of state, and he said "No". I had visited this store in particular because of their hours and convenience..or so I thought. These guys here are just merciless in the fact that they watched me have a hard time and seemed to have never had the intentions of being of service to begin with. I understand it's a busy location, but projecting any frustrations that come with such, onto people is unacceptable. Abusing your power is inhumane, shadowed by undertones of disrespect and then passing it off as just doing your job. Please keep in mind that parking, or lack-there-of, is like playing a game of duck-duck-goose. Which was what partly left me with that 15 min time slot, as I circled around the block countless times to catch a spot close enough to make it possible for me to bring that box in. Had I not gotten that spot, there would've been no way I could carry it into the store from a longer distance. In any case, there are really fun and cool places to eat around the area; maybe explore a little if you're ever feeling adventurous.
