The Post Office located on Liberty Avenue has become my regular Post Office, and I visit typically 1 or 2 times a week. My thoughts on Post Offices are simply that can't we live with them and we can't live without them. Being that I'm an avid online shopper as well as a seller on eBay from time to time, visiting the Post Office is just part of the process that I can't avoid. This specific Post Office has given me mixed feelings. It gets the job done, though, and that combined with the convenience is what keeps me coming back. I can't count how many times I've been here, but I've only ever seen 2 workers. Only during a few of my visits were there long lines, but the clerks seem to handle them effectively here. Typically, there is a man and a woman clerk behind the counter. During one visit, the woman was particularly rude and it's left a bad taste in my mouth ever since. Neither my boyfriend nor I had mailed very many packages directly from the post office at the time, and we had an item to mail and a label we needed to attach to the package. To my people that aren't too familiar with shipping: There is more than one type of package and it can get confusing between priority mail and standard mail. There are special envelopes that you have to use for each type of package, too. We had a standard package to mail, and the woman went on to tell us we couldn't use the priority mail tape but offered no other solution. She said they do not supply tape to customers, but I have seen it happen more than once. She was very short with us almost as if she was frustrated, and it wasn't helpful in the least of ways. I'm not asking for clerks to bend over backwards, but common courtesy is nice! Aside from that negative experience, it's usually not a bother to do business here. The clerks aren't overly friendly but it is what it is. We'll be back because my online shopping addiction won't cease anytime soon, but hopefully we have good experiences from here on out!

Although there…read moreis an Americana flag waving from the pole, the windows are all barred and the place looks abandoned. Fortunately, I found a parking spot (not an easy feat, btw) and ventured inside. I was mailing a cat carrier to a friend who had leant it to me and I had created my own box for it. Not the best create-a-box job ever, and I was worried that it would be rejected. Never Fear! As others have noted, this is the best Postmaster in the world! He laughed and said "Homemade box?" Uh oh, I thought to my self and answered "Yes" to his question. " I love homemade boxes" he said! Whew! We had a good laugh together, and my friend's cat carrier is on it's way to Wisconsin! Hurray. This is where I will always come for my Postal needs!

Worker: No, they didn't make anything like that for Christmas. Me: What do you mean? I bought some at another post office and they had them. Worker: Oh, do you mean the mother and child stamps? Me: Yes. Worker: Oh, I didn't know that was supposed to be Mary and Joseph. Me: OK, can I have a book of those? Worker: No, we are sold out of those. Me: I want Christmas stamps. What other options do you have for Christmas stamps? Worker: Well, we have these great Harry Potter stamps. Because nothing says Christmas like Harry Potter! Especially when they still had three other Christmas stamp options... That story aside, this office is walking distance from where I work so I have been here several times. That is the only positive about this location. Every time I have been there, there were long lines and long wait times. Usually there is only one counter open. And that counter is behind thick glass. Probably bullet proof. Makes you feel really safe to be doing business there... Anyway, every time that there has been a long line, there were at least two or three other clerks visible behind the glass. Not sure what they were doing, but it certainly would have been helpful for them to actually assist the growing line of customers. Perhaps the worst experience here was when a cashier had to go on lunch break. She started counting down her drawer and closed down despite there being about 15 people in line. If you know there is a long line, can't you take lunch a little later and help all these people? Don't visit this post office unless you don't have any other options or don't mind spending most of your lunch hour in line.

I have a problem whenever my regular postman has a day off or is sick. I went to speak with a supervisor and they told me i was at the wrong branch that i had to go around the corner to the main branch to complain.??????? I went as it is basically the other side of the building. I went in and no one could help me no supervisor was there and I left my name and phone # and no one ever called me back. Terrible customer service and no where near the amount of staff needed to run a business. The actual post office was ok but the fact that no one called me back and there was no one to talk to was very annoying. I run a business and needed to talk to someone. I can see now why the post office looses billions of dollars a year. The system is broken and we the consumers pay the price. Terrible customer service all around.

I get packages for my neighbors and have to deliver them up and down the street myself. My scheduled pickups are often skipped. The other 3 workers I've seen here have always been adequate as well and get the job done! The only downsides is this office is tiny! So it gets full very quickly some hours and the hours are not great. But the short hours seems to be hitting other usps locations as well.
