Some people in line sometimes dont have enough patience but we inside the postal service building need to come together as a community to give them the customer experiences to bring back the trust that was lost in the pandemic and the bad politics that was caused as a result . By coming in there as a community will be im defiance of the state abd federal Government'sRacist and bad political crap we all hate . This location is probably one of the better Post Office's in the area though. It's about a 5 - 10 minute drive from Layhill Shopping Center and there's a private lot with plenty of empty spaces. I just personally don't appreciate all the pot-holes in the parking area and the employees can be a bit rude here to their customers. Other than that, they get the job done. If customer service was better, they could probably earn a 5-star review in the future.

It is pretty old, and small; no lobby and no do-it yourself kiosk, which I love for mailing packages. There were only two people in front of me, but the solo postal worker was fast, and efficient. Also, she was very cheery, and greeted everyone with a pleasant Hello. I just needed a few Global stamps to mail to relatives abroad, otherwise I would have bought my stamps through the mail. At $1.15 each, I really didn't want more than I needed. I will be back here again. I just need to stay out of the Dollar Tree a few doors down.

I don't come back to Arlington too often, and rarely need to use the post office, but when I do I drink Dos Equis (just kidding). The fellow was really friendly, talkative. Brightened my otherwise bitter day.

I even wrote a note telling them to make sure the package stays in the post office for obvious reason, just in case. - The next day (May 7th, around 2:15pm) went to pick up the package here. Took them few minutes finding my stuff. An older Middle Eastern lady employee at the counter told me, the package is currently in transit for redelivery. I got furious right away, explained to her simply what I did online, PLUS pulled off my phone right at her face showing USPS confirmation email "We've received your request to pick up your package at a Post Office" - My request was plain and simple with a clear proof. That old lady pretty much ignored everything with ice cold expression and said "We are redelivery your package as you requested online" But if I chose redelivery option then she would've receive the date I wanted the carrier to redelivery my package. But it was pointless to continue arguing so I left. As a result, my package didn't even show up at all that same day. Of course. - The next morning (May 8th, 9am) I went to US Post Office here once again but right when they opened. They located my package within a second without any problem. That's the way it should be. But the main problem remains. Redelivery on the website is absolutely horrendous. Even when you choose an option "customer picks up". The automatic confirmation email will say customer picks up. BUT on the article detail it says requested REDELIVER as well as update on tracking number of your package, it will say "Redelivery Scheduled". So the best 0 star award goes to that older lady with ice cold attitude and her immature customer service, well deserved. ** One very positive note, an older Indian lady employee named Tika was the one helped me out with my package (May 8th, 9am) She was outstanding and very friendly. Thank you! **

You obviously need to go with the items states on state department website and you're good to go. If you don't go prepared well that's on you not the poor people working there. I've heard complaints, but that's only when the people applying aren't doing what they're supposed to. Yes the post office takes your birth certificate, it's required don't be mad at them for that. They do not accept credit card as payment, but like I said it clearly states that on website, and reminder appointment email. The also take passport photos here, BUT go to Costco and save money! It's only $5 there vs $15 everywhere else! This post office was very clean and had plenty of parking, we did go at one on a Friday so maybe that's a good time to go! Once I get the passports and all my important documents back I will be a very happy camper! Never like that part, but it was you have to do! Yup, Forever stamps increased from .78 to .82. All rates increased, postcards went up from .61 to .65. Ouch! I agree with Yelper Friend Susie L., that I enjoy buying stamps online and having them delivered to my house. It's easy, convenient, and there's a great variety of selections to choose from so you can have fun with your postage! Several of my friends participate in Post Crossings which is a post card "club" that you get international names and addresses of participants and send out post cards to each person you'd like to interact with. I tried it for a while and it is fun; however, it got old for me and I don't do it anymore. It is fun to see all the post cards of the world my friends have received and read about their lives in their countries. International post card postage is now $1.75. It makes a great and appreciated Christmas gift to give these friends international post card postage stamps as well as post cards! I appreciate our United States Post Office and I do feel it is an underappreciated service that the post people provide! I also understand the cost of living has shot up and we are all experiencing inflation. The reason for this review is to point out that some decisions are made nationally and cannot be credited to my local Post Office. This current review is to give notice to all customers that the USPS has once again submitted a request for another price increase for services provided by all Post Offices in the United States. The price increase has officially been approved and will take effect on July 14, 2024. For all information about the price increase you can go to pe.usps.com/pricechange/index Prices of interest to me and most customers are the following price increases: First class letters (Forever stamps) currently $0.68 will increase to $0.73 Postcards currently (Forever Postcard stamps) currently $0.53 will increase to $0.56 International 1 oz (Forever International stamps) currently $1.55 will increase to $1.65 There are increases available on the above website for additional weight and specific types of mail that I have not listed. My suggestion is if you frequently use the USPS, get to your local Post Office far in advance of July 14, 2024 to stock up on Forever Stamps. The other option that I have used before is to go online and purchase Forever Sttamps that you may want but don't wait until the last minute. I understand the need to make the services of the Post Office pay for themselves but I can't resist also wanting to save money when advance notice is available.
