I am extremely concerned and frankly alarmed by UPS's handling of my delivery. This was not a…read moreroutine package--this was MEDICATION that I was depending on today. Instead of delivering it, UPS marked it as undeliverable due to "address uncertainty," despite the fact that they have delivered to my address many times before. Even more concerning, there was absolutely no attempt to contact me--no phone call, no effort to resolve the issue--nothing. When a company is trusted to deliver medication, there is a responsibility to treat that delivery with urgency and care. Failing to deliver without even attempting to reach the recipient is not just poor service--it is potentially dangerous. This situation raises serious concerns about whether UPS should be handling medical deliveries at all. People rely on these shipments for their health and well-being, and delays like this can have real consequences. I do not feel confident trusting UPS with anything time-sensitive or medically necessary after this experience.

I stopped in a couple weeks before Christmas so the shop was busy. The young, heavy-set lady who…read moreassisted me was not friendly, but instead rather rude. I gave her grace as this time must be stressful. I had four shipments for them to package and ship for me as I couldn't take these items I purchased on my upcoming flight. I paid for the boxes and their service to package the items. It was expensive-over $300 for 4 shipments! Little did they know, I would be traveling to the location of one of the package destinations. They shipped my package in a used box! The box had old labels marked out and tons of different tape. I wouldn't care if I hadn't paid for the boxes! What a scam! Beware.

I'm of mixed feelings on how to rate this but it just goes to show how one bad employee can ruin an…read moreentire operation of otherwise great people. We just moved to the area from out of state into a newly built home (and no mail box since it needs to be placed in a common location down the street). I spoke with my local independently contracted mail delivery person (not a USPS employee) and she told me that until I got a mail box set up at the appropriate spot I would have to go into the post office to pick up my mail. Great! A minor inconvenience, but by no means a problem. I ordered a large mailbox (big enough for packages) and for the last 3 weeks have been going into the Post Office to pick up my mail..... the ladies who work there have been friendly and FANTASTIC. Nobody EVER told me they couldn't hold my mail or they couldn't deliver packages to me UNTIL I had my mail box set up. So I've had no complaints..... until today. I received notification yesterday of the delivery of critical life sustain medications my wife takes for a debilitating disease. These are expensive and hard to come by since they are an "orphan drug" that barely 3000 people in the entire country are prescribed to take. I also was notified from the Amazon shipper that my mail box had arrived. (YEA!) Both are incredibly important so I drove out to the Post Office to pick it all up earlier today. The lady there was helpful but apologetic when she could not find any packages/mail being held for me. She went to ask her co-worker. Now I don't know who this petty fascist was who came out of the back office (I'm assuming he is the postmaster for this office) but the first thing out of his mouth was "We don't hold mail. I returned it all to sender this morning." I was FLOORED! Of course you "hold" mail, you're the post office, for crying out loud! What do you do with the packages too big to fit in someone's mail box? Do you just arbitrarily return them to sender? (After reading other comments here, apparently the answer to that question is a resounding YES) Needless to say, I was incredibly upset. Not only did he return the very item that he said I needed to get, i.e., the mail box, but he also sent life saving medications away without so much as a single thought to the life he was placing in jeopardy. Not even a head's up or warning of any sort... just send it back, no questions asked and zero effs given. FedEx delivers to my house. UPS delivers to my house The effing pizza guy delivers to my house. Why wouldn't the US Post Office deliver to my house? So much for that whole "Neither rain, sleet, nor snow" BS. I ended up spending 5 hours today driving to Phoenix and back to pick up the required medications directly from the warehouse since I could not wait a week for them to re-ship. Now, as I said, I don't know who this rotund despot was, but his level of empathy, compassion, courtesy, service, professionalism, and (worst of all) his ability to think critically and logically, are all but non-existent. The Board of Governors or the Office of the Inspector General needs to be notified of this postmaster's heinous despotism, incompetence, laziness, and failure to serve the community. So much for the myth of small town Americans looking out for each other. HE PUT MY WIFE'S HEALTH IN UNNECESSARY JEOPARDY! As far as I'm concerned, I wouldn't whiz on this tyrant if he was on fire, but I would throw him an anchor if he were drowning. You know, return the favor. I'm sorry you ladies have to share space with this autocratic thorn. BTW: I purchased a standard letter box from the hardware store on the way home and set it up this evening, so there! I now have a mailbox set up and I better start getting my mail AND packages delivered to my address.
