Not the best USPS, but definitely not the worst I have been to. This USPS office is tiny. So, naturally one would expect it to have long waits - and that it did. With only about 3 people on the line, I waited about 15 minutes for service. The saving grace here is that even though the staff is light, they work quickly. My attending clerk had the standard "I'm just here to punch the clock and leave" attitude that most desk postal workers have. I've been to other locations where clerks were downright rude and would take about around 15+ minutes for each customer, hung on up even the most basic requests. So, this was overall a neutral experience. The bottomline is, there are far better offices in town. But, if you want the convenience of using this neighborhood post office and can arrive during an off peak time, then you should be golden. If you decide to go here when it's busy, bring a seat, you'll need it! read more

The lady working there today actually laughed at me when I handed her a door tag and told me it was 'useless' because the mailman hadn't completed my address on it. In my entire adult life I have yet to run into the total ineptitude shown by this location, attempting to open a PO Box resulted in being spoken down to like I had no concept of the request I was making. Didn't have a form of identification on me at the time (no problem - this is my fault) so I decided to call to make sure I was bringing the right material, a man with an accent was not listening from the onset of the call, going off on random tangents having nothing to do with our conversation. He started talking about other locations, what my conversation with the initial person was like and why I was calling him - I needed to confirm a digital copy of the lease would be sufficient for reference. The reviews are 100% accurate. The older Indian looking man had no sense of urgency or decency or willingness to help. Awful customer service. When I FINALLY went to the window to return an item, he immediately shoo'd me away because my items weren't boxed yet. I told him I just simply needed him to tell me what box to grab and I'd pack it up, but I wasn't sure which to put it in. He kept yelling at me that it needed to be down when I get to the window. Then he practically threw tape and a box at me, wouldn't let me finish a single sentence to try and get his assistance. Absolutely terrible experience. He should be fired! read more

The worse post office I've ever been to. The main employer I've dealt with on multiple occasions (60 +/- years old, Asian/Indian descent, has glasses, and usually works weekdays) is low-energy, impolite, and is always on his phone, talking to his wife or daughter. You'll get zero attention from him until he gets off his phone. The wait is always 40-60 minutes and expects to wait longer if it's lunchtime or the end of the day. I will be filing a complaint against the gentlemen. He obviously does not enjoy what he does and has no interest in serving the customer. read more

I would never normally take time to write about a post office but the terrible experience I just had trying to mail a package left me dumbfounded. The man at the counter went missing for like 5 minutes leaving a line of at least 10 people confused, then proceeded to do absolutely nothing productive, gave me the wrong size box, damaged my item, left me bleeding somehow........ It was horrendous. I was there 12/8 at 2pm. Left after 35 minutes of frustration.... now standing at FedEx which has helped me regain my sanity. read more

AVOID this location at all costs! The man that works there most days (didnt catch his name, but it starts with a G) is VERY RUDE and SLOW as a turtle! He NEVER has the window down so people, like me, can put prepaid packages in without waiting. He purposely has it open every time! Then although he sees you standing there waiting for him to put window on his side down, he chooses to ignore you! COME ON USPS, there are a lot of people without jobs! I went there and filled out a hold form because I was going out of town. I called back a week later to extend it a few days, and the original hold had not gone into effect. When I got back, they did not bring the withheld mail. I called to report it and spoke to a Jenise who was rude and interrupted me and insisted that the two catalogues in my box that day was all the mail that had been withheld. Went to mail approximately 80 wedding invitations - all of which we had pre-stamped. Wanted to drop them off with a human for piece of mind and also inquire about hand cancelling (where they cancel the stamps manually rather than run through the machines and risk ripping them). I went in around 2pm on a Monday and was the only person there. When I went to drop off the invitations, the man working the counter was very curt and said, "So why didn't you just drop them in a mailbox?" I explained that I wanted to ensure they didn't get ruined and wanted to see if they could hand cancel, but he said that everything would run through the machines regardless (something about a barcode) and that he wouldn't take them. He then pointed me to the mailbox outside the post office. I can understand that response if the place is buzzing with people, but to be dismissed so quickly on a quiet afternoon was definitely off-putting...especially when mailing something that I spent a good amount of time and money putting together. My hope is that our invitations will arrive to guests in one piece after being put through the machines. Regardless, I won't be heading back to this USPS location anytime soon. read more

This has been my assigned local Post office by address for 5 years. Yes, it's outdated and there's always a line. I went by this morning (Monday, 9:15am) and there were 4 people in line with only 1 attendant at the window. On the weekends when I go, there's two tellers and the line is to the door. Perhaps they are understaffed. Or the geographic area assigned to them is too large for what they can handle. I would like to chime in that everyone on staff is perfectly pleasant and I've never had an issue with my packages or customer service. However, I do agree this post office location rates below average and could use some help. read more

Obviously nobody cares at the United states postal service about these reviews because they are all awful. The gentleman that works there Gaustav (not sure of the spelling, 60+ , male, possible Indian decent. This was 10:15am July 1, 2022) is so rude and not helpful I cannot believe he is still employed. I got a note in my mailbox that I had a package that needed a signature at that post office. He was very annoyed that he had to look for it, he turned around turned back to me and said I had to come back the next day. I explained to him that the note said I could've picked it up last night and it was going to be there for another nine days so it shouldn't have gone anywhere. He turned around looked through a couple and boxes found it and threw it on the counter. I asked if he had any explanation as to why he didn't look for in the first place and he just kept saying over and over again I needed to sign for the package. I had to explain to him that I had no use of my right hand and I needed a little extra time and he was very annoyed by that also. This package contained medication that I need daily and he was too busy to look for it thank goodness I I insisted he looked or I would've had to miss a day of very necessary medication. He is literally the rudest employee I've ever experienced in any business in any town. I will be filing a formal complaint with the United States Postal Service. read more

Incompetent, unreasonable, and mean. A prime example that government sucks at everything and government run healthcare would be a disaster. UPS and to a lesser extent FedEx treat their customers with decency because they have a profit incentive and competition. They wouldn't accept my prepaid labels on a priority mail flat rate package and said it had to be switched to plain priority when the company clearly stated "priority flat rate accepted". I also had sent the same label on the same box a few days prior. Dismissed me without offering assistance or supplies to switch the labels to the proper box (which I actually did have in the first place). No help whatsoever. read more

I went to this post office (502 Grand St., Ste A, Hoboken, NJ) today to mail important documents using Priority Mail. The women who was working at the counter was so rude and condescending that I left and decided to utilize UPS instead (The date was 6/5 at approximately 4PM). I would like USPS and potential customers to know about the terrible customer service at this location. This is one of the reasons that USPS is losing so much business to competition and why many people chose to mail documents using computers and printers. Individuals like the women working the front counter will soon be out of jobs and they are at fault by providing astonishingly terrible customer service.
