This review is for the Henderson Passport Office. We live in Aurora, and after a terrible experience with the Aurora passport office (the clerk never even showed up for our 7am appointment wtf), I opted to drive 40 minutes away to get this done right. I made an appointment online, and off we went to get a passport made for our toddler. First of all, the town is TINY and the post office was so cute on the outside! I was like...ummmm are we in the right spot? Parking was scarce since it's literally like 5 spots on dirt, but we waited and got a spot. Inside, you go left, and the passport area is shared with the post office area. We waited a few minutes for the people ahead of us to get their passports done, then it was our turn. I was SO prepared when we got there! Photocopies of everything, all the birth records, everything you can imagine. I read horror stories about Aurora where you would be turned away if you didn't have the right photocopy of a driver's license. I get to the window, she looks at my photocopies, and she says "let's do this again on my machine, it looks nicer". I'm like WTF is she doing all the copies for me for free, without me even asking? I was seriously dumbfounded at the excellent service. The clerk got everything done for us. Stapled all the right pages, had us sign all the right areas, told us who to make our checks payable to, triple checked that we were good to go. We were out of there in 15 minutes. We had taken the day off to get this done and were expecting to spend a few hours of our lives waiting. We ended up spending a lovely day exploring Boulder and Louisville afterwards since we were kind of in the area! Thank you Henderson Post Office for your wonderful passport services! read more

I've only been to this post office a few times but I've always had a great experience. In and out quite quickly compared to bigger post offices. Not sure if the other reviews were people having a bad day or what but ill come here before I go to any other post office in the area. read more

This was a great and quaint little post office! There's nothing I like better than a small town, village like store front business. This post office from the front totally reminded me of a general store. Behind the plexiglass were two clerks to wait on the couple of guests ahead of me. The lobby was large enough to fit about four guests during COVID-19 times possibly a couple more during non-pandemic times. The clerks were friendly and extremely helpful and quick. I had three transactions including shipping a package and was in and out of the post office in about 7 minutes. Finding a convenient post office is always a necessity for me since I letter writing freak! I am a happy girl! read more

I don't know about this place. 2 live checks never made it to my mailbox, despite receiving an email with the picture of it and a delivery date. The first check was a State refund check. I was told it was a substitute mail delivery person so that's why my mail was missing. Not all my mail from that day, just the check. The second check was a paycheck and it was scheduled to be delivered on the 4th. Called them Wednesday and this time no excuse. Told them look around cuz this isn't your first time. Lo and behold the check arrived Monday. Postdated the 4th. . How do I change post offices cuz these guys feel shady read more

I love this location! They listen to you, they work with you, and they smile the whole time. They have been next to nothing but wonderful to me as I ship out packages on a regular basis. They've always been accommodating and not argumentative at all. Unlike the Broomfield location which I hate. They are horrible. Don't go to that one. read more

Package never scanned after I dropped it off, over two weeks. I was told the employee who I handed my package to may have mishandled it and left it out on the counter, which it could've been stolen by another customer. After two weeks when I called this location, all they said was "mmhmm" when I asked if it was lost or stolen. "Mmhmm." No other response. Not an apology, not even an attempt to look up tracking to see what's going on, nothing. They clearly couldn't care less. Not their package, not their money, so why wouldn't they give a s***. Thanks Henderson post office, you lost me $80 and basically told me to go f*** off. Thanks. read more

Awful customer service...2 girls that work behind the counter never smile and are bluntly rude.

First off I would like to say that the Post Office located off of Brighton Road is very convenient for us that live in the area, with that said the customer service there is horrible. There are a few ladies at the counter that are nice, sorry about the description but you must avoid one of the ladies that is a heavy-set, middle-aged, brunette, she is just mean. I mean you go in for simple things and you leave feeling berated like a little child. For instance today she was going on and on about one of the customers breath in front of other customers. This was highly uncomfortable for me and other customers standing in line. In order not to deal with her you should either go to the East Lake branch (they are very nice) in Thornton or the Denver branch off of Quebec Street. read more

A joke. Few things can get me heated as much as my experience at this post office yesterday, and the disorganization of the USPS in general. I can 100% see why it's a dying brand when more reliable courriers exist. Ordered some clothes online for an upcoming Vegas trip, and spent quite a bit of money on them. After not receiving my package for a month and pulling up the tracker I realized there was an error in the way my address was listed. For some reason it listed my apartment number under my name instead of under the first address line. All the information was still on there, though, and all of it was still correct. Tracking notified me the package had been delivered back and forth from the post office to my apartment, so I went here to see if they had it, tracking number in hand. After about fifteen minutes she came out with a print out of the exact tracking info that I had already showed her and had screenshotted on my phone and said the package was just "circling around Colorado". I said "well where is it? What can I do?" She said "Just wait, it will probably get sent back to the seller". Okay, so the package has been scanned in multiple places in Colorado, with no evidence to suggest it is being sent back to the seller, and you can't tell me where to go or what to do to recover it? Just wait? Keep in mind, I didn't start investigating until about a month after, and it took me two weeks to get to the post office, so at this point it's been sitting somewhere in Colorado for almost a month and if it were going to make moves it would have. The most annoying thing of it is that the USPS employee wouldn't give me any information or advice, and that whoever is responsible for delivering this couldn't just glance down at the package and figure out that despite the apartment number being in the wrong place it was still present. I understand how busy people working here are, but it is a five second glance that would have spared me a lot of headache. Still have no idea where my clothes are or what I should do to get them. This post office is better than the one in Brighton. They are kinder and answer the phone quickly. I just wish they were in charge of the mail for Henderson and not Brighton who doesn't seem to have their stuff together. I rarely go into this post office during regular business hours because the parking lot is so small it is nearly impossible to get in and out. However, I had to go in yesterday to take care of some business. The woman working has been there a long time. I know when I first went in about 3 years ago she was nice and friendly. A pleasant person to talk to. Wow - what a difference a few years makes. I tried to make conversation with her and she pretty much turned her back and walked away from me mid sentence. She was being rude to everyone in the place! If you don't like your job - change it! She is in a customer service profession. Whether or not you like your job you should treat people with a certain amount of kindness and respect. read more

We went there to go get US passports for our kids and the ladies were very helpful. They quickly accommodated and moved us through the process better then we could have hoped. We have got passports before and I would say that this is the best place around. read more

BEWARE! BEWARE! I needed to mail a box and looked online as to how much it would cost. After filling in the dimensions, weight etc. it said it would be $14.00. I went to the Henderson post office and the person behind the counter told me the price was $38.00 (3 day shipping). I told her I wanted the least expensive and she said the least expensive is only $1.00 less ($37.00) but the $38.00 one came with a tracking number. I then told her online it said it was only $14.00. She said that is where it starts but goes up when they add in the dimensions. I did not want to pay $38.00 to ship a $25.00 item. So I left without mailing it. I thought it was odd that online it said $14 (including dimensions) and she was adamant it would cost $38 so I went to another post office in Brighton. The person behind the counter at the Brighton post office weighed my box, measured it and entered the same information but said it would cost $14.15 with a tracking number. So I mailed it with the Brighton Post Office. I feel like the lady at the Henderson post office was deliberately lying to me and trying to rip me off. I filed a complaint with the US Postal Service that over sees all post offices and they forward my complaint to the Henderson Post Office who contacted me and said they would look into it but never asked me what the person looked like or the day or time when it happened (total blow-off). It is a small post office and there are only a few of people that work there- WHO is going to look into it?! The person who tried to rip me off?! I also want to add that she said the same things to the senior citizen in front of me and charged her $85 for two packages similar to mine. read more
