It always seems when I come here, the workers at the front desk couldn't get rid of me fast enough. I have never experienced a post office who had an issue with taping the top of a box shut for me, but here they always make a sarcastic remark. I've bought my own at this point because I've seen a big increase in my shipping but it was never a fun experience here for me. There's almost always a line of 4-5 people before me.
On another note, my local mail delivery person is very inconsiderate. When they try to deliver a package and you are not home and the delivery person doesn't feel comfortable leaving it, they'll leave you an orange slip to sign for it. I always signed and the delivery person would never take the slip back to exchange for the package to be left. I've always had to physically go into the PO to pick up, effectively canceling out my lunch breaks. I've signed these with specific written and signed instructions to leave packages, and it would never be taken.
I've left multiple letters for my packages to be left (probably up to fifteen times I've requested this with at least five written and typed plus hand-signed letters requesting this). I've left the request letter in the mailbox addressed to the "Mail Delivery Person" as well as one with the physical Hatfield Post Office address on it WITH STAMPS and yet he STILL refused to take it. When I called into the PO, the manager was very kind and willing to work with me. I took the typed and hand-signed letter in to have on record and was laughed at when I gave it to the employee at the desk, being told I didn't need to put a stamp on it so I explained it had been in the mailbox for days and was left so I thought maybe a stamp would tell the mail person to take it. ...Nope. The manager was very very kind and now things have been working pretty smoothly, but boy was it a hassle. read more
