We knew because we belatedly saw them on the doorbell cam. No tag was left, so we wouldn't have had any way of knowing without the camera. We figured they'd be attempting delivery again the next day, so we stayed home. No one came that day or the next. Another day passed before we got a call notifying us we had to pick it up at this location. When we picked it up, we were told the driver had attempted delivery three times, and there were three stickers on the package suggesting three attempts. Our doorbell camera did not record any other attempts, and no tags were ever left on the door. Did the driver just pretend to deliver and then log fake attempts? It would have been preferable to just go pick it up immediately, but we wouldn't have known where to go until they called. The person at the desk was really nice, and they were able to locate the package, so that was a plus. Other reviews I've seen suggest fake deliveries are common with this location, though. The wife showed us a thieving "porch pirate" coming up to their door that same day the package was delivered in the evening in a SUV style or truck with a cab on back of truck and with his face covered, quickly walked up and snatched the package. I have tried to update FedEx since yesterday morning about this information I describe in this posting, and I am stuck in the process by FedEx of waiting for a callback from FedEx after they look into this matter further. I am dismayed that I get this jerk around response from FedEx. I then called the store again and spoke with an associate named Chloe. I requested to speak directly with Gene. She refused to transfer the call, continued repeating information I had already discussed with Gene, and ultimately hung up on me. She also made false accusations regarding my conduct on the call, which I strongly deny. I encourage the store to review the recorded phone call for accuracy. When I eventually spoke with Gene again, his behavior was highly unprofessional. He was dismissive, disrespectful, and unwilling to help resolve the issue. He told me to "shut my mouth and stop talking," which made me extremely uncomfortable. When I went into the store in person to address the matter, his behavior escalated. He continued to be rude, aggressive, and sarcastic in front of other customers, displaying anger and harassment that are completely unacceptable in a customer-facing role. I even have a video I would love to share so you can see his behavior. He denied me access to any higher-ups to resolve this issue. I am a long-time customer and have spent my hard-earned money at this location for years. This experience crossed a line. My documents were lost, no solution or accountability was offered, and I was treated with disrespect throughout the process. Nothing was done to make the situation right. This was, without question, the worst customer service experience I have ever had, and it reflects very poorly on the management of this location. This Post Office is great. I've rented a box here for some three years. When I do need to engage…read morethe staff, they are pleasant and helpful. I most love the large package lockers that allow my packages to be safe and secure. When I rented the PO Box, I also got a "package" address to give when ordering packages. Any licensed service can deliver packages to this USPS, using this address. I receive everything from Amazon deliveries to medications at this address, where they are safe from porch pirates and the weather. All for $200 a year. Great service. 5 stars.
