It cost me money to get the money order replaced($15). I called the post office to see if they would consider compensating me due to them damaging it. I understand that $15 isn't a big deal. But golly, the man on the phone at the fortuna post office was very rude. He kept saying "I don't know where it was damaged" even tho it the bag clearly said it was the post office's fault. It also said to contact them to give feedback for better service. I was following what the bag said! Anyway, He was very short with me and was getting extremely frustrated over it. I was calm the entire time and he was so upset. Like I said, $15 wasn't a big deal but his attitude was unprofessional. Do better.

The building looks like a historic building and when you walk into the lobby its like your going back in time. The old tile work is cool and neat to see the old mailboxes. I went about 10am and they had no line, I was able to get in and out. Lots of free parking around the building. They have free USPS shipping boxes and they sell tape and other size boxes if you need them.. The clerks were very professional and polite. Glad I found this spot and I would certainly return if I have to mail something again.

Small-town folks have a way of finding reasons to smile not if, but EVEN if. Makes a difference, even if I'm just mailing a letter. I ducked in here to mail a package of masks to my father in law in another small town in rural North Dakota... and while the USPS is the USPS no matter where you are in the country, some post offices seem to be more "efficient" than others. Glad to report the package arrived on time and in good condition. My hat is off to the good people of the USPS, but for this review, notably the staff of the Trinidad, CA 95570 office. I spent 1 hour on the phone with Suddenlink- trying all the troubleshooting, etc. With no success, they offered to send a tech out a week later! I was feeling very frustrated at this point, and decided to try other options. I called Ferndale Tech and Demetrius was there within the hour.
