If there is any other place you can go, use that place instead. The unprofessionalism, inappropriate attitudes, and intentionally bad service is enough to make you avoid using this post office at all costs. No matter who you speak to at this location, they try to make the process as difficult as possible. It does not matter who they are talking to, their vitriol comes out and continues on to the next person. If these are the people we are supposed to trust with our packages and stamps, what faith can we have in the manner in which our mail will arrive/be sent out? The place has only gotten worse as time has gone on, which is incredibly impressive considering how hard it is to get a job these days. There are some things you will ALWAYS get at this location: 1: A long line of agitated customers. 2: 1 clerk behind the counter 3: A stank attitude from the clerk You must be careful when sending your package; when the price comes up in the little screen, check that everything appears to be correct because if you're not paying close attention your PRIORITY FLAT RATE BOX might not appear and instead a higher priced option with a looooonger delivery time may be your only choice. Typically we are lulled into a zombie like stupor because of the line, and might quickly click YES.. just to get out... Then when you check the tracking number, you find out your package will be 10 days delivery instead of 2-3. read more

There is now a Post Master in Eatontown named Willie McCray. For years our town went without one and there was no accountability if you called them about an issue. I would hope that Willie McCray will bring improvement to the Eatontown division of the USPO. The phone number is: 732-542-0108. All that said I found an envelope ripped open in my mail. The envelope was ripped from end to end. When I called the Eatontown Post Office and said it was a Capital One envelope and the single piece of paper within it about a pre-approved credit card had been put back folded against its original folds which meant it was at the very least read I was told at least 4 other Capital One envelopes were also delivered open to other residents. It is a Federal crime to open and read mail that is not addressed to you so whomever in the Postal service that is opening Eatontown mail needs to be found, dismissed and then prosecuted for their crime. I cannot believe there isn't cameras following mail into postal warehouses and brick and mortars until it teaches the small local mail vehicles. I expect the Eatontown Post Master General to have the footage from the cameras reviewed and this nonsense put to an end. I urge anyone whose mail is arriving open to report it each and every time. In the meantime a monthly credit review to be sure your credit is intact might be the smart choice for all Eatontown residents. read more

I avoid this place like the plague but needed to go here today and couldn't be avoided. Besides the one slow as shit oriental woman we now have another oriental woman who looks like she's 10 years old working the window. At least she is fast but she is new. The place is stifling hot with not even a fan on. The older oriental woman is very nice but slow. At least the old black woman wasn't working today. She's another turtle but she's passive aggressive and does it purposely. Something needs to be done with this place. Need new blood in here. Time for these dinosaurs to retire. Also someone needs to organize and clean the window area. It's in disarray and dirty. read more

Embarrassingly unprofessional Twice we requested package pickup. Twice no one showed up on the requested day but both times the PO sent an email confirming it had picked up the mail. The first time the Postsl worker came the next day, shrugging her shoulders. The postal service is bad but the Eatontoen NJ branch is pathetic. The same PO delivered an envelope to a mailbox with another name on another street and the worker at the branch hung up on me. The worst is they don't care because they have jobs for life. read more

This post office sucks just like very other USPS to be honest. I don't understand how they casually lose so many packages in the age of technology. It seems like I'm playing Russian roulette every time I mail something. Amazon never loses packages. In the future I am absolutely paying extra to shop my packages through FedEx or UPS. read more

Small USPS so sometimes there are long lines. Don't depend on what the hours of operation listed on the USPS website say, they change their hours of operation quite often and just post a sign on the door with the updated hours. I have been many times 30 minutes before closing and the door is locked. Friendly staff. Lots of shipping supplies always available. read more

My rent had to be paid that day but when I get there the Asian lady tells me that they stop selling money orders at 6 but when she saw that it wasn't 6 yet she tells me 5:45, then a roar of laughter came from a room not far from where she stood. Online it says that its open on Saturdays until 4pm. I got there around 2:30pm and the doors were locked. Nothing posted on the doors. I couldn't even fit my package in the mail bin. As being the main post office in the area it needs a major renovation. The building still looks like its lost in the 1970s. read more

As far as post offices go, I feel the Eatontown PO is decent even though the lines can be somewhat lengthy. They must be one of the few post offices that stay open during the week till 7 PM. Post offices in general to me seem somewhat outdated and increase their revenue by selling nonpostal items such as greeting cards tape and everything but the kitchen sink. And since they reduced the postal rate of first class mail recently, can they be really making money? read more

Just witnessed our Eatontown mail carrier slamming amazon boxes to the ground and literally just throwing the boxes at the door. With absolutely no regard for people's property. The things we paid for. I yelled out my window that he needed to stop throwing people's boxes. He just looked in my direction and shrugged his shoulder's. So when you receive your packages damaged, don't be so quick to blame Amazon or wherever you ordered from. Look no futher than your local post office. read more

WHAT A DISGRACE. The carrier last updated the tracking 8 days ago as "unable to access delivery location at 12:49 PM" which is incorrect since it's a business where there is always somebody present between 9-5. I've had to go to the post office 6 times now since then to try to obtain my package, and it's always the same story to leave your phone number, but nobody contacts you. Tonight was by far the worst though where after waiting 30 minutes in line, the front desk woman is relaying my complaints to her supervisor on the other side of a wall just out of view. I ask to speak to him direct but she tells me his unable to, when he's RIGHT THERE. When told to leave my name and number for him to call me I state I've done this 3 times already, is he actually going to call? to which she shuffles over and states exactly what I just said to which I can hear him yell "oh my god!!!" As if I want to be there for a 6th time about the same issue that nobody can seem to provide insight on or take accountability for . The dude should find a new job if he's unwilling to handle the problems caused by his staff! I'd give this place -1000 stars if I could. read more

I have to come to this post office because I don't have a mailbox ... every time I have to pick up something from the office area. The workers have no sense of urgency whatsoever ! Worse post office in the entire country. If there are post offices on other planets and in other galaxies...I'm sure this is the worse one. The employees move like turtles...they could care less about the people waiting in line. If you go here (regardless of the time of day) be prepared to wait for at least 30 minutes. This is by far the worst post office in all of America. The employees are incompetent and inconsiderate. Be prepared to wait for what feels like an eternity as you watch them handle each customer slower than a herd of snails traveling through peanut butter.
