My dad was a postman! So I'm interested in post offices, even though the US Post Office treated my dad like dirt. But what do you expect from the US government except the worst? Guess what? --- told me to "buy another one" what? I'm sorry...come again?? ----------------------- So now you know if you go through the post office no accountability the drivers can take your nice pricy gifts.....well i guess that will help him during the holidays...... US Post Office - Evidence this really happened - Post Offices Near Me - Crescent City, California

Postal carrier "lost" my package. He scanned it in - somewhere - but it sure wasn't here. I watched him arrive, put the mail in the box, and leave. Immediately went out to get it. Had all the normal mail but no package. I checked my email to see if it was delayed and found a message saying it had been delivered. Went to the post office to see what happened.They admitted that the problem was theirs.When I asked what they were going to do about it was told there was nothing they could do. Just file a complaint on line and then, this is a direct quote, "Then she (the post master) will have to look into it." Talked to friends and neighbors and discovered that they'd had the same experience, even the guy behind the counter at a local store. Now I off to the USPS web site to start jumping thru their 'hoops'. It appears that accountability is only for the 'little people'. read more

I had issues now I feel I'm get harassed by the whole staff my app let me know my packed sat here for few days before they decided to deliver to me that's a federal crime tampering or make mail late because of a complaint I had. read more

Update: Two things have happened since I first wrote this. One is that I tried shipping a third package - which also got lost. Can you say "definition of insanity"? The other is a change in procedures. After much complaining, the Post Office has assured me that they have updated their system to include assigning received packages a tracking number, something they didn't do prior to this fiasco. Also, the post master has been replaced. The new guy (sorry, I don't remember his name) assured me it wouldn't happen again. I'm not taking any chances. read more

What more can you say about a local post office? Friendly faces, lines aren't too bad, and they mail your stuff for you. I'm a fan of the USPS in general, and this location is just fine by me. Note to those visiting: Saturday hours are noon to 2pm. That's great if you want to sleep in, but good to know before you head over at 9AM to mail your postcards. read more

The best time to go to this Post Office is right before it closes. If you go in the morning, then you run into the elderly in line who have nothing better to do than to hold up the lines and take on conversations with the Postal Clerks. Talk about a total bunch of ball dropping BOZOS' ! I went to the U.S.Post Office on Dec. 13th of 2018 at 1:00 pm & stood in line for less than 5 minutes. I was mailing a total of 3 normal size & weight greeting cards to Los Alamitos , CA. 90720 . Two were Christmas cards , one each for my elderly Mother , age 91, & my Father , age 97. Also 1 Birthday card for Mother , whose Birthday is Dec. 17th. I had a book of "FOREVER" stamps with me but I chose to wait in line & purchase postage at the counter so that I could check with the clerk & be certain that the Birthday card for my Dear Mother would arrive on or before Dec. 17th. When I inquired about the delivery date the clerk consulted a laminated chart of delivery times for First Class Postage & assured me there would be "No problem" with Mothers' Birthday card being delivered on or before her Birthday. Got a call from Mother yesterday , Dec. 26th. that her Birthday card & Christmas card both were both delivered by the post person on Dec. 26th. Now I "GET IT" when I hear people bashing the U.S.Post Office & it's employee's ! ,& I have empathy for Mr. Peterson , whose actions helped coin the phrase "Going Postal" ! read more
