I ordered a three larger items from Amazon that I really needed for Saturday. Saturday morning, I received an email from USPS saying that they had tried to deliver at 7:33AM, but couldn't, and would try again later. I was home, so I know that no one tried to deliver. I had dealt with this before, so at 10:00AM (they have limited hours on Saturday, 10am-2pm), I drove down to their office. They said that they had one of the items, and I picked it up. They actually had the other two items, but apparently couldn't find them when she went back to look. I asked her why the USPS said that they tried to deliver when they clearly didn't. She said that their 'program' only has two options when they send email updates. Really? The USPS is HUGE, certainly they could communicate more clearly. As mentioned, I had dealt with this same scenario before. Previously, I took them at their word and waited three days for their second attempt at delivery. Had I not driven to their office, I would probably still be waiting, as they were not going to ever deliver the package. So the end result is that by the end of this current cluster, I will have to drive twice to their office just to pick up products that were supposed to be delivered to my home. I NEVER have this issue with UPS nor Fed-Ex. Ever. There is no reason that they couldn't have delivered my items to my home. I have no idea why they don't, except maybe for laziness--or maybe because they think that they can just get away with making people do half their jobs. I avoid USPS whenever I can. It's no wonder that they're failing. read more
