At 5:50 I was directed to the "hold mail" area to try to find a package that my never reliable mail carrier did who-knows-what with. The gate was locked even though it closes at 6:00. I returned to the counter only to be spoken to horribly by the woman working, whose name I didn't catch (9/3/19). Instead of answering my questions or explaining why there was not one single human there who could help me, she was combative and rude. I questioned if the hold mail counter usually closes early so I would know when to arrive in order to get my package tomorrow, but she told me she didn't want to argue and looked ahead to the next customer, basically ignoring me while I was still standing there. I was calm and just asking fair questions about the hours. My salary is also paid by tax dollars and I would never dream of nor expect to remain employed if I treated customers this way. read more

This facility is sitting with one of my packages and I had to open an investigation with corporate USPS about them. They were supposed to call me today and I have heard nothing. The facility just decided to not send my package on the day they were supposed to ship it. The official USPS website has the wrong phone number listed, but their Facebook has the correct number. Very unorganized and odd, as this is the first facility I've encountered to have issues like this. Truly ridiculous. read more

The Post Office on Twin Rivers is considered our main Post Office. Its the only Post Office I go to. I figure all the mail gets routed here anyway, so save a step. Since I am THE master procrastinator I need all the help I can get to send things out on time. This Post Office is the Wal-Mart of Post Offices as it has everything. Passports, packages, and posters of stamps plastering the walls. There are several stories to this building but I have no idea as to what they hold. I do know the elevators are guarded by a police man so I probably never will. Twin Rivers has many boxes outside that are great for a drive by drop off. What I really appreciate is the late pick up times. Not everyone can be here by 5:00 and Twin Rivers knows it. Inside holds a variety of kiosks for the do it yourself mailers. The amount of kiosks ensures minimum wait and allow for that one guy who doesn't get it. The place is staffed well so waiting here is never long. The staff themselves are burly and cranky. Imagine a Post Office manned by pirates and you get a vivid picture of what waits to serve you. The best thing about Twin Rivers is that they found my lost wallet. Wherever I lost it someone decided to ignore contact info and just stick it in a mailbox. Their plan worked as several days later I was called down to Twin Rivers to pick it up. The wallet was exactly as I had lost it, cash and all. For the honesty of Twin Rivers my broke and irresponsible self was forever grateful. So for all you procrastinators and pirate fans come to Twin Rivers and cut out the middle mail man. You never know what you may find. read more

If this is the best, I'm really afraid of what the others must be like! I called ahead to make sure they were processing passport applications, they said come on in, we're open until 4 to do this. I went straight there. Evidently there's only one person who does this and she/he *just* left for lunch. When I asked if I came back in an hour if the person would be back, I was told that I should give it an hour and a half...because even though they only took one hour lunches, they needed time to "wash their hands". Ah, a postal employed skilled in being an ***, with no concept of customer services, what a surprise! Then I tried to call Grandview--no one even answers their phones! I just need a passport so I can GET out of this bureaucracy for a minute! I think it's clear why the post office is going bankrupt. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service ever. They make their own rules overriding the National Passport Information Center. I dealt with Marvin Cynthia and the Supervisor Kesean. I have further contacted the head of Columbus Post Offices as well as ABC and NBC news. I have never seen anything like this. read more

I've meant to write a review before, but have always forgotten. Then today, I was frazzled and it was rainy, and I had two birthday cards to mail. My handwriting was not as neat for the address on one, and I asked the man if he could read it. He said he could, but that I had the wrong zip code! Sure enough, I had put my zip code instead of the addressee's. This is one small example, but I've always found the people here to be friendly and efficient, and I'm glad it's my neighborhood post office. read more

Best post office I've been to in Columbus. Friendly staff, good building, easy parking, fast service, extended hours, and no security glass window to deal with. The contrast to the 4th Ave one in the Short North is huge. Even though I live within walking distance of the 4th Ave PO, I drive here whenever I can just to avoid the hellhole that is the 4th Ave location. read more

Worst postal service EVER in Columbus OH. We are a business and never get our mail or its given to a wrong business. We call them to see where our mail is at or if we will ever get it and no one hardly ever picks up the phone . I just called the Main post office about the issue and it rang off the hook then someone picked up the phone and hung it up. No wonder everyone is going to the e-mails or online to send letters/invoices/bills. Pretty soon the postal service will become obsolete due to the incompetent service. Oh wait! Can I give zero stars? I've only dealt with the passport area, but based on that experience I'd go elsewhere. They forgot to sign the agency name and number for my expedited passport, and I had to reapply due to their error and my passport did not get processed. I tried calling the passport office number repeatedly. No answer. I tried calling the main office number repeatedly. No answer. My originals documents were held up at the State Department as a result. Fortunately, my State Representative stepped in to help out but I still had to go back to Twin Rivers to complete the process. The website said they closed at 7pm. I showed up with my daughter in tow. It was 4:30 pm. The door was locked and the agent yelled out, "I'm closed and going home!". She put her head down and waved me off. Thanks for nothing but a headache! read more

Who would expect such a clean, spacious, and modern looking post office to be tucked away in this corner of Columbus? Who would expect the staff to be so friendly, helpful, and even cool with throwing in a joke or two! Not I - but this office has changed my views and I really want to thank them for making it a pleasant experience to send/pick up packages. Best post office in the Columbus area that I've been to. PO Box prices are the lowest around since it has an abundance of boxes (this is the main post office). The staff is always easy to work with and there is never a line. It is open later than other post offices and you can use their electronic postage meter if you don't want to wait. read more

As pretty much everyone else has implied, this is the reigning champion of all Columbus-area post offices. Why? Best hours, best service, best facilities. If you live or work anywhere near this place, don't bother going to any other USPS branch to take care of your postal business. And even if you don't, if you need to take care of something after 5 p.m., it's worth the drive. read more

first of all, if I could give the post office zero stars I would. I had a small package containing a belt and jean shorts ordered for delivery. not only did it take them 4 days longer then they said it would, which at first i understood given the current issues in the world, but then they fucked up the delivery 9 times. How the fuck do you fuck up a delivery NINE times all you have to do is turn on the fucking car drive for a few miles turn into the neighbor hood, throw the fucjing package against the door and leave. IT IS NOT THAT HARD. So they finally said delivery failed and they told me to pick it up at the post office. 1.) i never got refunded for paying for delivery. 2.) they didn't leave me the fucking piece of paper i needed to get my package. so i drove like 45 fucking minutes to the post office with my ID, my receipt, my tracking number, my order number, and they said "oh sorry you need the little piece of paper :,)" WELL THEY DIDNT LEAVE ME A FUCKING PIECE OF PAPER. So i spent 30 minutes on hold with UPS, got a number, and was told UPS couldn't do anything else about it, called the post office and never got through because they kept me on hold for 2 hours. fuck the post office. i hate them and ups. read more

This is the second time that I had to report a missing package for my services in the 43205 zip code area. I asked the Postmaster to tell the carrier NOT to leave packages outside of the mailbox . ( I live in an apartment complex).I would gladly pick up the packages at my convenience. I have had ok experiences at this post office in person, but just had a terrible phone experience. I called to see why I have not received mail at my new address despite submitting a change of address online 14 days ago. I was told they have a lot of problems with those so I should come in and pick up a form and submit it again. I obviously found it annoying that they say their own systems don't work and I should waste my time coming in person to re-do something I had already done, so I said I had a confirmation email and offered to provide that information so they could find out what the problem was on their end. They wanted no information and basically talked in circles, saying they couldn't check anything until it was done. When I explained I was trying to find out if they were processing it, I was finally told to call back tomorrow and ask to speak to my mail carrier. When I asked for the name of the carrier so I knew who to ask for in the morning (obviously I offered to provide my address so they could look up that information), I was told the person on the phone didn't know and couldn't look it up. When I asked how that was going to be different tomorrow, I never got a clear answer. On another postal service note, I recently ordered 40 stampes online. They arrived and are on two tiny sheets of paper, but were sent in a letter-sized envelope. Poor service and wasted money...no wonder the USPS has no money. read more

Why on Earth does this Post Office close at 4:30 in the afternoon?! Most people are still at work! This 'business' should be open till at least 5:30 to allow more people that work normal business hours to be able to drop off packages after they get off work. After trying to call the Grandview post office and finally someone picked up the phone, I was told to go to this main post office for passport application. Giving ample time for lunch break (having read the previous post), I head there at 2 pm. Nope. The ONE person able to handle passport applications is still on "lunch break". Come back at 2:30 pm! Must have been during the half hour it takes them to wash their hands. Useless. No wonder USPS is in deficit constantly with such poor service. read more

This is the worse post office in the city of columbus. I had been calling all the numbers given to me for over an hour and had yet to get anyone on the phone. If you have to ship some or call for something I suggest you go somewhere else. Not to mention their customer service is horrible. read more
