This is the worst post office I have been to. If one could do a less then zero rating or a negative 100 this would fit this place. I have been trying to give this post office a chance but every time I go something is always f messed up they manage to mess up even the most simplest of tasks. Richard was the clerk behind the window this time and all I needed was to send an already prepaid package to its destination and obtain a receipt of the usps receiving the item the tracking number etc. Simple enough right? NO. The lack of attention or even care with what they do here is Eminent. So blatantly obvious that instead of providing me with my simple request I got someone else's receipt and details of their transaction and last four of their cc. The whole nine ... I came back, I asked to be given the information for my parcel, not someone else's transaction but was told to make the line again. He did not expect that the person in line said" no I can wait, tend to the needs of the current customer". Richard said he did not know where the parcel was and he could not access the receipt associated with my request. Just shrugged and looked completely blank! I could not believe it. There is no one there to do a simple task no one else you can ask for help to do what you came in to do. I asked for my package back and wasted the whole morning while the search was on and I tried calling someone about it but much like other reviewers have stated... no one answers... I finally got my parcel back I drove to Minneola the usps on Washington and got it all done and taken care of in a matter of seconds.
The next time I came in to this post office thinking this was a one off... I had the misfortune of dealing with the same person and asked several others to go on ahead of me because I wanted to get stamps and was afraid he would not get that right too. Well the other person there closed her lane and just hung out behind Richard chatting while the line got longer and was moving some papers and parcels just shooting the s.. great now I had no choice. I said Richard all I need is global stamps. International stamp the Christmas wreath one looks like this. I showed him one I had on me and he stated he had no more but I could get two of the stamps here and were more then enough to cover international mail I was trying to send. A greeting card size and weight letter back home to Switzerland and others in Europe. He was Charging more then normal for the global stamps, asked why, his response was, that it is because it's a little bit more then international stamps and this way they will definitely get there!
You guessed it. He could not even sell the correct postage for a greeting card to send internationally. I sent one with this post office, as a test with him, then and there!
I held on to the rest.
(It did not have enough postage and was sent back to me) A GREETING CARD !
I drove to Washington street postoffice in Minneola. The person there said I did not have enough for international mail the greeting cards and was short. I purchased the difference handed in all the mail I was attempting to send
And the one that was sent back and off they went with NO problem and arrived on time as expected.
This post office is closer to me and wanted this to work out but after time and time again just consistently messing everything up, from the most simple request. "I need a stamp" to anything slightly more complicated.... They mess it up.
I was sent a prepaid usps document envelope to send back, already paid for... the woman here said your total is $XX. I said NO, I do not need to pay anything this is prepaid. She huffed and looked at me and said "you can either pay it or it's not going anywhere. " The woman in the counter next to her overheard and before
I could ask her if I could have it all back to drive to a different post office. She told the woman that it was indeed a prepaid one and this is how it needs to be done bla bla bla. NO apology on Anyones behalf and I asked If there was a
Problem, and the lady that had come to show her replied no, she just needed to be shown how and what needed to be done.
I ask for the Receipt and an apology for being so disgruntled and she said "I don't know how to do this I learn". I realized I was not gonna get anywhere. Made her give me back my package and you guessed it drove elsewhere.
How is it that there are so many encounters and or situations with incompetence and or no will to help, that so many people have encountered and no one to do a thing about, maybe training or support?!?
Listen if you need a post office drive the distance and go elsewhere this place is just not worth the hassle! read more
