According to reviews, 9 mths ago the automated machine to buy stamps and other postage was broken...it still is. Maybe it's a game, to see how long people will wait in line or how frustrated they will get while waiting. There should be another line just for those of us that simply need postage...I guess that's what the machine was for. 30 minutes in line already, 4 more people to go! read more

Long lines and bad customer service. Way understaffed. Look elsewhere if you need less than a 15min wait.

This is our local post office and while my husband has received really rude service, I haven't experienced this. I find that it's always best to come prepared, especially if you're sending international packages. The best times are usually in the middle of the day as there's usually always a long line around 4:30pm or 5pm when everyone's done with work. December is always really busy as well as before the tax filing day in April. The key is to be super duper nice to the post office workers and they will be nice back. read more

I've been lucky enough to come at odd enough times when there was little or no line. In, out, and on with my life. I also appreciate that they are open until 6pm. read more

I passed by this morning for a postcard stamp. The line was long because there is only one person worked there. He was friendly. It cost me 30 minutes before I get helped. He asked me what I need and I told him a postcard stamp. He asked me about the size and I showed it to him. He said it should be the regular stamp. I thought it should be 35 cents only as it used to. Then I considered the price might changed and he should be correct. And I need to go to work so I paid without check the price. When I am on the bus, I checked the price on their website and it should be only 35 cents as before. The postcard is regular 4x6.He told me wrong and I spent more than I need to. How can him work there doesn't know about the price? read more

The man who works there is literally the rudest person I've seen in Chicago. He literally shouts at anybody who steps 1 inch over the line and I just heard him belittle a woman and call her a smartass to her face because she didn't bring her own tape. I've never seen anyone power trip so much over so incredibly little. I won't be going back here - congrats UPS, you just earned my business. read more

Actually had a good experience at a usps location. Crazy right? Husband had to come here on a Friday afternoon to mail out a large envelope. Area is small inside, and when we saw the long line and only 1 lady working we thought, oh no...this will take forever. We stuck it out and surprisingly, it moved quickly and the lady working there was extremely helpful and nice! read more

If you can avoid this particular post office, do so. The people that work there are not the nicest. There always is a line, and if you are "next" in line, you will be told to back up the arbitrary line they have laid out. They need an automated machine, because waiting in this line is not fun. I have literally walked in and out because the line was past the doorway. read more

I feel like the employees here mean well but they come off very rude and demeaning. They need to understand that even though they do this all day, every day not everyone does. People have questions and may not understand. Everything is clearly posted but not everyone knows. I come to this location often and never had an issue but I'm often offended by how they talk to other customers. It's very sarcastic. One time my toe was just slightly over the line and the guy was like "Ma'am you have to back up!" Then watched me in the mirror move my toe back. I came in once and had a good interaction with him but really I don't say much to either of the employees who are there because they just don't have the best energy. I know their job isn't easy but I've never seen people be rude to them so I'm not sure why they are so rude to others. Outside of that it's a great location. I they aren't open on the weekends but I've never had an issue with my packages getting to their location in a timely manner. read more

I always come here for registered mail. By opting for electronic confirmation, saves lots of hassle and a bit cheaper too!

No wait. Friendly guy. Good service. I went in the middle of the day and everything was very quick. I won't give 5 stars because it's just a Post Office; however, they are much more professional than the ones in my neighborhood (Wicker Park) read more

Stood 25 minutes in the rain after they should have been open. Finally left, leaving several others wet and pissed off. Lobby should have been open at 8:30a.m. It was not. 9:30 a.m. and no sign of life. read more

This place is ridiculous. They are quite rude. Make sure to stand properly between the ropes or you'll get yelled at. Even if no one is in there... read more

Similarly to all the other reviews, If I could give negative stars I definitely would. I was there yesterday and wasted my time taking the abuse from the extremely rude women who work there. No sense of customer service whatsoever and knit picking at every minor detail while making irrelevant accusatory remarks makes for a horrible experience. They indicated I should purchase certain items which I ended up not needing. When I wanted to return the item they said there was no way to issue a return. The women who work there seem to enjoy frustrating every person that walks in. New employees who are helpful, fast, and enjoy working there is much needed. read more

Are they ever open? I went in on Monday and there was a handwritten note on the door that said "closed for meeting". Must be a long-ass meeting because it's Thursday and they're STILL closed. But the few times I've found it open I take a book because if there are 8 people in line ahead of you, that's about 30-45 minutes wait. The employees there move like sloths. No one naturally moves that slow, so it's obvious they do it on purpose. read more

Guy talks everyones ear off thinking he is making their day when they're just dreading to be waited on by him. Just wants attention. Long lines and each customer takes longer because they have to listen to the dude speak. Other employees working there just sit and close down their stations for no reason. Does not matter if there is a line. These people are miserable with their lives and you can feel their resentment. read more

The worst post office I have ever been in my life .The men yelling at me today for step into the line one inch ..They treat people like kettle! Surly employees who are rude to the customers do not make for a pleasant experience at this branch of the post office. Find another location, if you can. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. The employees at this post office have a negative attitude on any given day of the week. If you want to be treated poorly, come to this post office because the employees will not only fail to do their job, but they will also be rude and yell at you. I came in to purchase stamps on 10-11-2016. I waited for over 30 minutes until it was my turn to come up to the counter. The light skinned African American woman refused to serve me because my phone was not on silent when I was approaching the counter and she could hear it ringing. She started yelling at me saying she does not need to serve me because my phone was ringing and it was disrupting her work flow. She then went to the back and sat on a stool all. She continued to yell at me and say extremely unprofessional and inappropriate comments. I stood at the counter asking her to complete my transaction. There was a huge line warped around the corner and the postal worker did not care that there were other people waiting behind me. After I became extremely frustrated, the light skin woman's co-worker Dwayne decided to process my transaction. I informed Dwayne that I would like to file a complaint against his co-worker and I needed her name. I also told Dwayne that I would be contacting the post master. Dwayne refused to give me his co-workers name and also told me that filing a complaint with the post master "will do nothing and will get me no where." These two morons are on a power trip. They need to come back to reality and realize that they sell stamps. Their bad attitudes and rude comments will damper your day. They are also extremely lazy and refuse to work. It makes me disgusted that my hard earned tax dollars go towards paying the salary of such disgusting, rude, and unprofessional people who think that they can treat customers poorly just because they have a government job. read more

I arrived early in the day when there was only one person before me. Dwayne was very attentive and helped out with details when I wanted my documents shipped the fastest possible way. I got my shipment out in a short time and stepped out happily. read more

Worst post office I've ever been to. Always a long line, clerks are slow and rude. Always understaffed. Been here multiple times with multiple bad experiences. Most recently, I stood in line for about 25 minutes (only 1 clerk working) to mail a package. The clerk asked showed me the options for 3 day vs. 7 day and the prices. It was only $2 difference so I chose the 3 day shipping. When I swiped my card to pay, the total was more than $10 higher than what I thought. When questioned, she explained that the prices she showed me were not accurate because she hadn't put in the box dimensions until after that. Then asked if I wanted to change it after I had already paid. I said no because I'd waited a long time already and had places to go. So I waited forever, had a rude clerk, and basically overpaid by $12 to mail my package because she didn't put in the dimensions at the right time. Ridiculous! I would walk the extra distance to go to a different post office if you have the choice. read more

The people that work here horrible! Not only is there an absurdly long line compared to other locations but they also have bad attitudes, teller makes the customer feel like they're doing a favor for them, speaks down to the customer and is outright disrespectful to them! I don't know how these people maintain their jobs.... read more

THE WORST. They tell you they can't do things that they most definitely can do because they have one person working and are lazy. Waste of time. read more

The streeterville post office is one of the worst I have been too. I waited 1/2 hour to send 1 certified mail envelope with all my forms filled out and ready to go. There was one employee to take care of customers who were lined up to the door. The automated machine was covered up so I guess not working. They should fix the machine and then customers could quickly get in and out but of course that would be too efficient for the post office as they would rather keep their slow moving employees who are so rude and mean to all the customers. They should treat the public with respect as they would not have jobs if not us giving them our business. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. Their attitude is awful, they all need customer service training. They seem intentionally slow and there are tons of people walking around in circles yet one person waiting on a LONG line of people. When you ask for a supervisor there is none!! That is the problem. The USPS needs a supervisor on site to make this place run more efficently. Really a HORRIBLE experience. I leave there everytime with a feeling of stress and frustration. Do youself a favor and find another location. read more

One star for the ONLY gentleman that was working during the peak hours, trying to be as helpful but was still slow. There is NO reason only 1 person is employed at the counter during peak hours (when people come during their lunch breaks). I literally waited for 48 minutes to mail 1 envelope. When the other clerk finally decided to join, I realized they have employed the SLOWEST human being on this earth. She obviously saw the line that was going out the door, yet felt it necessary and enjoying her power trip of taking time to straighten out her desk, put pens away and walk to the back room to grab a CHAIR to carry back to her desk to sit her BUTT down. Seriously lady, this was SO unprofessional, poor customer service, and the worst attitude. She needs to be fired. There have to be more efficient, harder working people to employ. I don't care that I missed being able to have a break or eat, it was very rude on her part, and I do not recommend anyone going here. read more

one person working during lunch rush. waited in line for 45 minutes and got to the counter and they told me they dont do passports anymore. i checked on the website twice before leaving where it states that they do passports at this location. fffffuuuuuuu read more

Everytime I go only one person is working . Long waits, non courteous staff and extremely rude behaviour.

I am writing this review while Standing in line at this post office location. When I came in there were actually two people working at the counter and there was already a line. But as the line started to build, one of them actually got up and left. As we waited and waited, a few customers got frustrated and left. The management (if you can call it that) has no regard to the customer at all. This has to be one of the worst run post office I have seen. read more

So I use the Kiosk machine for priority express mail next day delivery because of their slow work pace that amounts to a enormous line as usual at this location (Ohio). I paid the $20 for next day delivery or (Money back Guarantee) and put it in the priority mail box that its suppose to go in and doesn't get their till 3 days later. Didn't even get processed til the next day. Smh.. I try to dispute the transaction with receipt of money back guarantee for next day delivery and get the shit end of the stick. I get a phone call from the supervisor from the location and she tells me that the guarantee doesn't qualify because I used the Kiosk machine and didn't bring it inside hand it to the clerk.(Which there is no sign of any kind stating this).. Unreal!! I mean thats why you have a Kiosk machine and priority express mail box for. So you get fucked out of paying an amount that states money back guaranteed regardless... read more

I've been using this post office maybe once a month for about a year, and I've never had a bad experience. The line is usually short, the employees are helpful, there has always been a parking spot available on Ohio while I run in at lunch or after work. No one likes going to the post office, but this place decidedly doesn't suck. read more

First of all, in reference to the post by Barbara S, it is illegal to take pictures inside of a postal facility, which you obviously did. Then to take that illegal picture of a government employee, working inside of that government facility and put it on social media, to me, is equal to making that govenment employee a target. You have a right to your own opinion, but please keep in mind that due to bombings and other acts of violence that are being perpetrated upon government offices and other public places, that you may be opening yourself up to personal litigation or arrest under laws created for that protection. I will definitely be looking into that possibility. I am not trying to stop people from posting negative reviews against me, but I am concerned when it comes to being singled out by way of a photograph. Whether you believe it or not, I am truly sorry that my inability to fulfill your request at that time elevated to the point that you feel you had to attack me personally. This post may seem a little melodramatic for some, but what you may not be aware of is that by being a veteran of the Iraq Conflict, I have personally seen the damage the aforementioned acts of violence and terrorism can cause, so I guess that makes me a little sensitive, forgive me. read more
