I feel like the employees here mean well but they come off very rude and demeaning. They need to understand that even though they do this all day, every day not everyone does. People have questions and may not understand. Everything is clearly posted but not everyone knows. I come to this location often and never had an issue but I'm often offended by how they talk to other customers. It's very sarcastic. One time my toe was just slightly over the line and the guy was like "Ma'am you have to back up!" Then watched me in the mirror move my toe back. I came in once and had a good interaction with him but really I don't say much to either of the employees who are there because they just don't have the best energy. Are they ever open? I went in on Monday and there was a handwritten note on the door that said "closed for meeting". Must be a long-ass meeting because it's Thursday and they're STILL closed. But the few times I've found it open I take a book because if there are 8 people in line ahead of you, that's about 30-45 minutes wait. The employees there move like sloths. This is our local post office and while my husband has received really rude service, I haven't experienced this. I find that it's always best to come prepared, especially if you're sending international packages. The best times are usually in the middle of the day as there's usually always a long line around 4:30pm or 5pm when everyone's done with work. December is always really busy as well as before the tax filing day in April. The key is to be super duper nice to the post office workers and they will be nice back. read more

This is the worst post office I have ever been to. The employees at this post office have a negative attitude on any given day of the week. If you want to be treated poorly, come to this post office because the employees will not only fail to do their job, but they will also be rude and yell at you. I came in to purchase stamps on 10-11-2016. I waited for over 30 minutes until it was my turn to come up to the counter. The light skinned African American woman refused to serve me because my phone was not on silent when I was approaching the counter and she could hear it ringing. She started yelling at me saying she does not need to serve me because my phone was ringing and it was disrupting her work flow. She then went to the back and sat on a stool all. She continued to yell at me and say extremely unprofessional and inappropriate comments. I stood at the counter asking her to complete my transaction. There was a huge line warped around the corner and the postal worker did not care that there were other people waiting behind me. After I became extremely frustrated, the light skin woman's co-worker Dwayne decided to process my transaction. I informed Dwayne that I would like to file a complaint against his co-worker and I needed her name. I also told Dwayne that I would be contacting the post master. Dwayne refused to give me his co-workers name and also told me that filing a complaint with the post master "will do nothing and will get me no where." These two morons are on a power trip. They need to come back to reality and realize that they sell stamps. Their bad attitudes and rude comments will damper your day. They are also extremely lazy and refuse to work. It makes me disgusted that my hard earned tax dollars go towards paying the salary of such disgusting, rude, and unprofessional people who think that they can treat customers poorly just because they have a government job. read more

Worst post office I've ever been to. Always a long line, clerks are slow and rude. Always understaffed. Been here multiple times with multiple bad experiences. Most recently, I stood in line for about 25 minutes (only 1 clerk working) to mail a package. The clerk asked showed me the options for 3 day vs. 7 day and the prices. It was only $2 difference so I chose the 3 day shipping. When I swiped my card to pay, the total was more than $10 higher than what I thought. When questioned, she explained that the prices she showed me were not accurate because she hadn't put in the box dimensions until after that. Then asked if I wanted to change it after I had already paid. I said no because I'd waited a long time already and had places to go. So I waited forever, had a rude clerk, and basically overpaid by $12 to mail my package because she didn't put in the dimensions at the right time. Ridiculous! Similarly to all the other reviews, If I could give negative stars I definitely would. I was there yesterday and wasted my time taking the abuse from the extremely rude women who work there. No sense of customer service whatsoever and knit picking at every minor detail while making irrelevant accusatory remarks makes for a horrible experience. They indicated I should purchase certain items which I ended up not needing. When I wanted to return the item they said there was no way to issue a return. The streeterville post office is one of the worst I have been too. I waited 1/2 hour to send 1 certified mail envelope with all my forms filled out and ready to go. There was one employee to take care of customers who were lined up to the door. The automated machine was covered up so I guess not working. They should fix the machine and then customers could quickly get in and out but of course that would be too efficient for the post office as they would rather keep their slow moving employees who are so rude and mean to all the customers. They seem intentionally slow and there are tons of people walking around in circles yet one person waiting on a LONG line of people. When you ask for a supervisor there is none!! That is the problem. One star for the ONLY gentleman that was working during the peak hours, trying to be as helpful but was still slow. There is NO reason only 1 person is employed at the counter during peak hours (when people come during their lunch breaks). I literally waited for 48 minutes to mail 1 envelope. I am writing this review while Standing in line at this post office location. When I came in there were actually two people working at the counter and there was already a line. But as the line started to build, one of them actually got up and left. As we waited and waited, a few customers got frustrated and left. So I use the Kiosk machine for priority express mail next day delivery because of their slow work pace that amounts to a enormous line as usual at this location (Ohio). I paid the $20 for next day delivery or (Money back Guarantee) and put it in the priority mail box that its suppose to go in and doesn't get their till 3 days later. Didn't even get processed til the next day. Smh.. I try to dispute the transaction with receipt of money back guarantee for next day delivery and get the shit end of the stick. I get a phone call from the supervisor from the location and she tells me that the guarantee doesn't qualify because I used the Kiosk machine and didn't bring it inside hand it to the clerk.(Which there is no sign of any kind stating this).. The line is usually short, the employees are helpful, there has always been a parking spot available on Ohio while I run in at lunch or after work. First of all, in reference to the post by Barbara S, it is illegal to take pictures inside of a postal facility, which you obviously did. Then to take that illegal picture of a government employee, working inside of that government facility and put it on social media, to me, is equal to making that govenment employee a target. You have a right to your own opinion, but please keep in mind that due to bombings and other acts of violence that are being perpetrated upon government offices and other public places, that you may be opening yourself up to personal litigation or arrest under laws created for that protection. I will definitely be looking into that possibility. I am not trying to stop people from posting negative reviews against me, but I am concerned when it comes to being singled out by way of a photograph. Whether you believe it or not, I am truly sorry that my inability to fulfill your request at that time elevated to the point that you feel you had to attack me personally.
