The manager at this post office is extremely rude and spoke with vulgarity when I asked about the location of my misplaced package. Instead of treating me and several others within the post office with mutual respect she had an attitude about helping us. She slammed the mouse down and demanded to know the tracking number. I've never been to a post office where they refuse to assist in securing your priority mail shipment with a bit of their priority tape. She just pointed to the back and said you have to buy tape and moved on. Maybe this is a new policy idk? but the Tempe post office has always been helpful with an extra strip of tape. read more

I went to get a passport and the people there were soooo friendly and helpful! I spoke to Rick on the phone last week and he helped me set up my appointment and answered my questions. He then sent me over to Lori who made sure that I was aware of everything I needed for my appointment today. I arrived early and was helped by Lori Marte, the same lady I spoke to on the phone. She was great. She knows what she is doing and is very professional, competent and nice. It was such a pleasant experience! I was in and out of there in no time! I just want these two employees to be recognized for doing a great job. It really means a lot when someone goes out of their way to be nice. It leaves a lasting impression and I definitely have a positive impression of this postal facility. Way to go!!! read more

I had to go in twice today and both times, Gail helped me. She is awesome. And there was another gentleman that initially helped me. This was my first time mailing from the USPS something to Colombia. You have to fill out a customs form and it's a bit expensive to mail to Colombia (or out of the country), but the package should be there by Christmas!!! I always get AMAZING service from this USPS!! I've been going to this post office for 15 years and over the last 2-3 years the service has gone downhill. The customer service/cashiers used to be very friendly and helpful. But I think most of them have retired. It's a fairly new staff and most of them seem really unhappy and turn their unhappiness towards customers. The prices have really gone up too. Now for many packages the only way you can send them is Priority, and ground or parcel post isn't available. (If you try to price a package at USPS.com, Priority is the lowest cost service they'll quote.) And the customer service/cashiers frequently treat you like a criminal. There's one woman who demands to see an ID if you're paying with a credit card. I hated that so much I paid with cash. But then she held up my bills to the light to see if they were counterfeit. Really? So when she gave me change I held up the bills she gave me pretending to see if they were counterfeit. She didn't like it too much, but at least she knew how I felt. Still there is at least one person who is very friendly and provides excellent service. But she is the exception and not the norm there. I've had a couple of nasty encounters with some cashiers that would take too long to explain here. I try to support the post office because I know it is in financial trouble through no fault of its own, but it's hard. For example, if I have an amazon pre-paid return I chose to return it using USPS instead of UPS to give the post office some business. But then one of the cashiers wouldn't accept a package with a pre-paid label because she said it was overweight by two ounces. She told me to go home and ask amazon for another label. I did that alright. I asked for a UPS return label and UPS took it no problem. read more

WOW! Where do I begin.... this very well could've been a one star review when one of their agents failed to have me sign my passport application before it was executed which resulted in a rejection and delayed my passport... but the level of service recovery demonstrated by Gail P. From this location was incredible to say the absolute least. I approached Gail with this situation two months after my application submission when I received my rejection letter from the US DEPT. Of. State. Gail immediately apologized and sprung in to action. I moved to a different city so I would've been responsible for a new application and photo fee but Gail contacted that location herself and saw to it that all of my fees were waived. She even sent over a priority mail envelope to that new location so I can put my stuff inside and get it delivered even faster. Her customer service ability and willingness to help was boundless. She is a very valuable asset to that USPS location and she actually cares about the customer which can't be said for most postal employees. Someone please give this woman a raise! read more

Customer service? Nope. Not here. I have gone 3 times in the past few years and 3 out of the 3 were completely frustrating experiences. I have been met with condescending attitudes and less than helpful "customer service" and today was no different. Today I walked out and said goodbye to the United States Postal service. I don't leave reviews but my poor experience warrants one. I came in to drop off a package that was wrongfully delivered to my home. While I was there I asked if we could verify that our change of address was successful. I was told to speak with a supervisor. No problem. I waited 15+ minutes (with my toddler in tow, as we were not expecting a long wait for a simple question) for the supervisor. When he came out, he was absolutely rude. I've never experienced anything like it. Before I could say anything he proceeded to tell me that this "issue" was not his fault, and list reason upon reason he couldn't help me because I had messed it up and "of course your mail hasn't come yet." I was not complaining and was not blaming him or the post office - I simply was asking for confirmation that our address was correct and our mail would be coming. I was not given a chance to say anything. When I stood up for myself and stated that I had waited in line for a long time and did not want to be spoken to in that way, he called my not even 2 year old child a handful and told me I hadn't been waiting "that long." Another customer witnessed the exchange and requested the supervisor's phone number to issue a complaint, stating he had also been appalled at the way we were treated. I will say, when I called following the exchange, the lady I spoke with was kind and assured me she would speak with the individual involved. I'm very disappointed in how this "issue" was initially handled and will now avoid going into the post office (especially with my child) at any cost. read more

Convenient location that has drive through mail drops. Inside there is multiple self service kiosks so you don't have to wait in line to be assisted. Customer service could be better when being assisted by an employee but that's why I recommend that you use the kiosks. Those machines are quicker than the employees. read more

No help with passports here, a gentlemen in line for postage recommended going to city hall. I highly recommend not asking for help. Rude, impatient and not polite. My friend Peggy at my Realtors office called an told them that I was still alive an living at said address..and I'm getting my mail again.. I luv that girl.. !! This place is horrible. They lost a package of mine that came in from the UK. It made it all the way to Chandler AZ from overseas without getting lost and on a Sat they left the peach "sorry we missed you form" in the mailbox. I immediately went online and scheduled it to be picked up the following Monday. Went to the post office and they said they could not find the package and the guy that was there said that they are too lazy and don't read the fine print on those. I called the next day, they still could not locate my package. I talked to various people but mostly to Jennifer who claims to be the manager and Chris who said that he printed off my info and put it on his desk. He said that he was sure the package was in the office but they just didn't know where it was because they had thousands of packages. I called every day for 2 weeks straight and they still said the same thing over and over again. Each time I called I had to retell my story and give my tracking number to them. The last time I called I talked to some guy who said my package was there and I was shocked that he said that and I told him that Chris said it was not there and that he said he would call me once they found it. He put me on the phone with Chris and once again he said that they were still looking for the package. I called one last time and talked to Jennifer and asked for the manager and she said she was. It's been a month now and the package is still nowhere to be found. I opened up a claim through USPS and still have not heard anything. Such a joke. These people do not care. Even when I got the okay to come they still didn't let me get package that I needed today. If you were gonna closed you shouldn't have told me to come wasted my time and gas. Friendly staff, cheaper PO Boxes than Chandler Heights location, ample parking, and 24-hour self-service postage kiosk in lobby. However, it can get busy during peak hours if you need personal service or have to sign for certified mail pick up, etc. I don't like the screechy south lobby entrance door that gets stuck on the floor. That terrible screech sound that door makes because it's uneven & sticks really hurts your ears. Please fix it. It's been that way for years! read more

We receive our mail at a community mail box and the delivery person consistently puts packages in the letter box rather than using the package box or dropping them off at the house address. The front of the letter box has a frame around the inside so oversize packages can be inserted from the back by the carrier but you can't get them out from the front. This issue has been communicated to postal service management on more than one occasion but it continues to happen. I called today after receiving a paperback book that was jammed in the box. With the help of a box cutter I was able to take the package out in pieces. And their automated customer service number is a joke. There is no option to gain access directly with a customer service representative. I ended up selecting "technical support" and after being on hold for an extended period I finally talked with an agent who was very pleasant and aware of the issues with the design of the letter box. Not much she could do other than issuing a case number for us to reference should we receive oversize mail in the next 3 days otherwise the number expires. Does the postal "service" do any training or evaluation of techniques and practices of their carriers? The motto that the mail will go through doesn't include our mail box. read more

I have avoided getting any of my shipping thru this location for a couple of years now due to the fact that packages are frequently misplaced or lost. However, this year I gave in and took the free shipping on one of my orders and boy was that a mistake. Sure enough my order was lost and I was basically told tough luck. I have lived all over the valley and this is the only location that seems to constantly have issues . Normally I would blame it on the time of year but in all honesty I know it just a lack of brains . Thanks for ruining someones holiday and just to let you know I will be sharing my experience with Chandler Post Office with all 120k followers on my social media pipeline. I thought I had lost my mail box key so I went to my local post office on Colorado St. for a replacement. Turns out they charge $40 to re-key mailboxes. I search every where for my key buy unfortunately I had to pay their fee. Two days later I received my new keys in an envelope at my front door. I go check my mail and in my locked mail box was my old key. I went to this post office today and had to speak to a supervisor and she said apparently the mail carrier must have found my key on the ground and placed it in my mailbox. I asked how was I to find my mail key when it was locked inside my mailbox? She said that the mail carrier must have "assumed" I had another key. I asked why couldn't he place my old key in an envelope like my new ones and place it at my front? She couldn't answer me. She was very rude and said since the work was already done my money would not be refunded. I also asked how would the mail carrier know it was my key if he/she found it on the ground? The key does not have my mail box number on it. She just stood there and starred at me. I know the USPS is losing money but to rip consumers off like this is not fair!! read more
