US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Central Point, Oregon

I have personally always had a good experience at this specific Post Office in Central Point, OR. The wait time is dramatically less compared to the busy Medford Post Office, so I sometimes go out of my way to come here. Also, FYI the 'post office' inside Tiff's Hallmark store doesn't mail out internationally, so this is the best place to go to in the surrounding area, in my opinion. The gentlemen in the store has helped me mail international packages, fill out forms correctly, etc. Today I found out that I could purchase Global forever stamps for cards under an ounce! They also have a great selection of regular forever stamps to choose from. read more

Every time I go in there, everybody is so friendly and happy to help. This particular time I had a package that I was trying to keep under 5 pounds. By cutting and redoing the box Tony was able to get right at 5 pounds. I know that's not part of his job. He went above and beyond. Thank you Tony! read more

I had a problem with a delivery and called the post office. Beth answered the phone and was able to tell me what happened. (Turns out the package was delivered when we were still living at the house, but because I didn't pick the mail up that day, my carrier forwarded it to my new address). Such helpful and kind folks at this Post Office! Had a recent issue with one of our box locks being broken, and they not only found a solution but were willing to go above and beyond to get the package to me on a timely basis. Apparently Chris is the postmaster ?! He took an already bad set of circumstances and made it worse with his explosive attitude. I didn't call acting like a Karen but he responded poorly (like a Karen). The only two Christmas packages I sent, to the same address in WA, were sent back to Central Point PO when they got as far as Portland. Central Point PO mailed them a second time, and although online tracking says one package is sitting at the Central Pt PO Chris said they shipped it back out last week. Neither package has reached destination, and Chris says they don't do refunds except for overnight service. I paid for priority service, but its a sham. Chris was rude AF, blabbering about hundreds of packages (aren't delivering packages the thing they do?) I chose USPS but I'll be using literally any other delivery service after this very unnecessarily unpleasant and costly experience. Clearly Chris the postmaster doesn't give 2 sh!ts about anything. read more

eeewww. Chris is the postmaster and has zero customer service skills. For 3 years, I have struggled with nonsense (refusal to pick up for my business). I finally gave up, but recently fractured my spine and had some other delivery issues, so figured I would try again. Oh my... it's like if there is an audience, he plays victim, and yells about things that aren't quite true, but creates the scene, and then cries, "oh look, it's a scene!" Super weird. Otherwise, he yells and involves people around him instead of maintaining any professional front. He actually said, "I know a lot of people in the valley and have heard that you have talked sh*t about me." Seriously. This happened. Cool, but can you pick up my mail? He was so angry, he was visibly shaking. I would hate to see him with an actual situation. Really really weird. read more

3rd time mail truck has sped up our driveway past our cars kids and dogs, we have reported them. The C.P post office Beth wouldn't listen to us. We told her it's posted slow children, digs and live stick in 2 places that they are going to hit someone. She threatened to not have packages delivered. Today another driver sped threw at 50 miles hour, threw gravel on our cars at our shop. My husband tracked him down. The driver apologized and said they only give us a certain amount if time to deliver. These drivers are unsafe on our properties, hazardous and nothings being addressed. Shameful and God help them they kill our dogs or hit one of our kids.​ read more

terrible customer service, the skinny retail associate was vaping inside the building in plain view of customers. the bigger old woman clearly has a problem with men and is insufferable to deal with. my package marked fragile was extremely misshapen and caused my brand new computer to show up with a broken screen. This is the second time I've had a package of mine delivered to someone else. I was not even alerted until 10 days later when I was checking on a third package that has not arrived on time. Angry to say the least. These were things I can't replace. read more

I found out my very elderly grandparents electric blanket broke and they were having trouble finding one in stock where they live. I had been given one and decided to ship it to them the minute I found out. I ran out the door and arrived with one minute to spare and they were pulling the door. It was 459 and they had already shut down the registers. I understand it was 4:59 but they are open until 5:00. That means you start closing up at 5:00, not close ahead of time. This is not the first time they have closed when they feel like it. I'm honestly shocked it was open to begin with. I have come at 3:00 only to find them closed and the mailroom man said it wasn't due to covid. I went to UPS instead and they were very kind. I'll go here from now on. Better price and better hours. Maybe if your employees were actually serving customers you wouldn't need a bailout. read more

Over the years the mail was supposed to be in your P.O. box at a certain time. It was 9:00am, changed to 9:30 then 10:00 and now it's 10:30 AND THEY STILL CAN'T DO IT. Not only do you not get your mail on time but standing in line waiting for help is ridiculous! There'll usually be one person at the counter and a long freaking line. One other person might start helping, but it's irritating to watch other workers walking through the area and not doing anything to get customers taken care of? Seriously, can't cross train your staff! Thus is our tax dollars at work. Pathetic. read more

Our carrier(s?) is horrible and very frequently places mail in the wrong box at our neighborhood cluster boxes. I get someone else's mail at least once a month and fail to get my packages and bills. One bill almost went to collections because I just never received it in the mail. Terrible. I contacted the main office to try to find out what happened to a package I ordered (and never received, even though the tracking said I received it!). The person I spoke with didn't bother getting back to me at all. I had to resolve the problem through the company from which I ordered the package. read more
