Always very helpful, always pleasant. They are an important part of our community. I have a PO Box and resident address where they don't deliver. The mail can sometimes be difficult, but they are always very helpful and I always seem to get the mail that was addressed to my residence. They go above and beyond and provide helpful options. We just moved to Jacksonville last Monday. We had a delivery from USPS this afternoon while we were out running an errand. When we returned it was quite obvious when we pulled into our driveway that a vehicle apparently backed out of our driveway and ran into our garden driving over a large lavender plant. The package was delivered at our front door, however, there was no note from the driver. We would appreciate it the person in the charge of the Jacksonville Post Office would question the driver that was on our route this afternoon. Had an issue with forwarding a package following my move to the area. David came through. Even though the issue was on my old post office's end, he was able to reach out to them where I was unable and get my package on it's way - within a single business day. Now, of course, we got a little lucky - so don't go expecting solutions that fast, but have confidence in the fact that they will do everything they can to solve your problem. Great little Post Office. Short lines and knowledgeable clerks, especially the one named Carolina, an expert on foreign mail and other special posts. People come from the city next to Jacksonville to mail packages due to the great service. read more

Apparently, I am the only person who goes to the Jacksonville Post Office. Well, probably not, but I'm reviewing anyway...The post office is pretty standard for a small town - office hours and pickup times are scant and the space is small. There is almost always a decent line when I have to go there. When we first moved here I was surprised to see our mail carrier pull up in her Toyota sedan to drop off our mail. Huh?! Are we such poor country bumpkins that Uncle Sam doesn't want to bother with a mail delivery truck? Not a big deal, especially in light of the fact that the City of Jacksonville mandates all homes in the historic area rent a P.O. Box and drop off their own mail. Guess I'll just be happy with our visits from the Toyota and hope she gets reimbursed for mileage. read more
