They know many of their customers on first name basis, and it feels more like a local community business which is definitely a plus. The owner Matt is delightful along with his entire staff. The first time I came in, they tried to charge me $2.50 just to print a return label, which already felt excessive. Today was even more frustrating. My Amazon return was already packed in the original box it came in, but because one small flap wasn't taped down, they insisted it wasn't acceptable and wanted to charge me an additional $2 just to tape it. It feels like they nickel-and-dime customers for the smallest things rather than providing basic service. This kind of treatment is incredibly frustrating and comes across as poor customer service. On top of that, the employees were very dismissive and came across as unhappy to be there. The overall attitude made the experience even more unpleasant and unwelcoming. I would not recommend this location to anyone and will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

Never needed assistance until today, as the box that I came with wouldn't be large enough to fulfill all contents & required a shipping label. I came in with an already packed box, along with other items I was hoping to purchase a mailer for. My mom came with me, as I'd need help carrying items in the store. We had a few questions regarding the shipment, including insurance for the package.. We never got an answer to any of the questions, just a blank stare. Instead of giving me the mailer as requested, this man began cutting my box open, I assume, to put both packages together in a larger box. He didn't say a word, ask for permission to open it, or even let me know what he would be doing with it. My mom asked that he be careful while slicing through the tape to avoid damaging any of the contents inside. This man immediately began making condescending comments towards my mom, and asking "is this your package or hers?" in a strange tone, as if she didn't have a right to ask questions. He did end up grabbing a bigger box from the back and started loading everything inside. We wanted to be sure that all of the contents were included in the box, as I had a bunch of small stickers inside that would keep falling out. Not only that, but we wanted to be sure that the package was secure, as the "new" box had previously been taped and cut open. Some more comments to my mom: "are you an overbearing parent?" & "please do not touch the package," after my mom tried making sure the box was secure, and mocking her whenever she laughed uncomfortably. The last straw for this man, I guess, was when my mom reached for my package (that was sitting on the counter in front of us - not in his hands) in attempt to add more tape from a roll that we brought with us. He picked up the box to slam it on the counter, told her to take it, then told us to leave. I wish I could've given this place a good review as it was a convenient solution to fulfilling my orders, but realistically, this place doesn't care about you or your shipments. Staff is not friendly or helpful, and in my opinion, is only in business to make a quick profit. This place is a bit unorganized & very time consuming if you are looking for any kind of assistance, or planning on using them as a label and/or mailer provider. Only good as a dropoff location in my experience, and a lot easier to get the job done without actually speaking to the employees. They don't want to help you.

On December 14th I had my mother head to this Fedex location on 161 meister ave, branchburg, nj to…read morepick up a package that was under my name after they did not process my request to delivery the package to the original address. Upon my mother getting there, the person who opened the store the morning of the 14th was extremely rude to my mother and unwilling to help whatsoever. In New Jersey apparently, the dmv does not send you a new drivers license if you move (they keep the same old address) and just update the address on their systems. Instead of explaining this to my mother and letting her know that she could also bring a bill, she very rudely started to yell at my mother letting her know that I would need to be there personally to pick it up with my ID. I am currently out of town and am not able to be present that is why I originally cancelled the request to have this package being held at the fedex location. The way fedex has handled this situation as a whole. From not cancelling my hold request and delivering this package to the original address to completely disrespecting my mother at the 161 meister ave, branchburg, nj fedex location. I don't ever write reviews but this person should certainly not be working in customer service ever again unless this is the type of people Fedex is okay with employing. Instead of being helpful and letting my mother know all she had to do was provide a bill, she decided to completely ignore her and belittle her. Extremely rude service. My mother had to drive 45 minutes just to be sent away in a matter of seconds. I hope this person is dealt with immediately and given a course on customer service and simple etiquette. I will make sure to put this review everywhere until something is done about this situation.
