Absolutely, without doubt, the worst post office in the entire United States. If you have ANYTHING that NEEDS to get from one place to another, it would be better to hire the Pony Express to deliver it. This post office has quick and polite counter staff, but they would have better scores for sorting and delivering mail if they simply asked chimpanzees to guess where it needs to be delivered. Don't even bother trying to track your mail using the "Informed Delivery" option in your email - these Bozos will lose an entire day of mail and simply make excuses. Not just occasionally either, it's at least one time each week that my informed delivery shows 5-6 pieces of mail that I never, ever see! They've "LOST" medication packages, Christmas and Birthday gifts, and even my income tax refund. I've been charged with late fees on bills I've never seen, and my box is constantly full of other people's mail. Apparently the people they hire to deliver mail can't read - even when you post a note in your box listing the names of the ONLY people living at your address. Forget trying to complain either. The line at the desk waiting to complain about lost mail is often 3-4 people deep. They simply take your name, promise to "do better" and most likely toss your information in the trash before you're even out the door. After filing a missing mail claim online I'll get an email months later stating that they "apologize" but are "unable to locate my missing mail." They even go on to suggest that I contact the sending and ask for other! There comes a point when the idiots who run this place need to be replaced. You can only blame lazy and incompetent deliverers for so long, before it becomes a management responsibility. Failure to change the leadership at this post office makes it the laughing stock of the entire nation. I often wonder if this place turns a blind eye as their employees sort through your mail, taking anything of value. I wouldn't trust this place any further than I could toss an elephant! When you go into the post office, the workers are very pleasant and helpful. That's the only thing good about it. They don't properly follow forwarding instructions. When forwarding mail, they don't check whether it's for an individual or a family. When a request for an individual is done, they forward everything. Couriers change everyday, so no accountability and lost packages and mail all the time. Delivery manager shrugs off complaints with defensive answers( you get a lot of mail/ I can't help if you have dishonest neighbors). They leave the package box unlocked. They answered phone once in 2014. Here is a picture of 8 letters put in my box by mistake. Last week my hubby delivered so much wrong mail he should get a complimentary uniform. Best USPS in SWFL in my opinion. I prepay for all my packages and they make it so convenient to simply drop it in the bin to avoid the line. Every USPS should have this feature and I get so annoyed when it is not. When I have had any question they do a great job. This store deserves much more credit and a much better rating. Many people are just ignorant or old and do not know how to make life easier on employees. This is the only usps I prefer to go to. The location is great and easy to get to. read more

Our USPS service is worthless. I have had several misplaced packages delivered to a neighboring building, today, a package I badly need and have been tracking closely was put in the lock box of my building, but the key to the lock box was placed in another resident's mailbox. Most of our resident's box and I don't know who. Half my neighbors are on vacation for a few weeks. I can't wait that long, and I also cannot procure again the contents of the box. Trying to get anyone from USPS to help is becoming an impossible task. I have been on hold for 45 minutes with the national "help" line. Meanwhile I have been calling all the local offices and the phone continues to ring with no pick up. If anyone wonders why folks use UPS & FEDEX instead of the post, this would be why. read more

I have been to this post office many, many times and found the staff helpful and caring. Problems at this and other post offices are usually the stupidity of the customers in line. Many can not even figure out how to fill out a basic mail forward card and hold up the line forever. One guy could not remember where he lived. The staff has to deal with this every day. It is so terrible you can not get any one at the Post Office to pick up a phone. You can't reach anyone about carrier issues. Our carrier does a u turn in front of our mail box and does not stop unless they are dropping off mail. It doesn't matter if the flag is up, they don't stop. You want to raise the rate of stamps. In Bonita, it is like the tale of two post offices. The closest one to me (on Bonita Beach Road) always has a line of 10 people that seems to take forever. This location (the Old 41 branch) is one of the most efficent I have ever dealt with. Even if the line is long, it moves fast. Also, they have a self-postage center where you can weigh, price and ship items. If this one wasn't on the opposite side of the city from me I would use it much more. Keep up the good work. (The the other poster - the Boston post offices, at least near the Huntington Ave area, were always old, small and slow-moving. I do not miss those at all!) read more

today, may 4, 2020 i went to the post office on old 41 to bring my application for premier mail forwarding..... i had application filled out and the girl advised that i had to go to my home post office collier blvd and 928....about 20 plus miles away. .... drove all the way there and gal at collier advised that ANY post office could have handled my application.... they simply mail it to correct post office........so i wasted about 3 hours driving there and waiting in a long line for more than an hour and driving home..... Worst post office on the planet! NEVER answers the phone. Marked one of my packages "request hold package at post office" when I never did. Needed to stay an extra day from out of town just to get my package which was scheduled by the post office as "out for delivery" the day before. Don't trust Passport Services! My Passport was submitted with the wrong form even the picture had to be re taken. Tom who submitted it is now retired and probably didn't care. Cost me an additional $110. for his error to expedite my passport again prior to leaving the country. read more

This is the WORST post office I have ever dealt with! I travel often, and whether I pay for the premium service, have a forwarding address, or have them hold my mail - there always seems to be an issue. The closest post office to me is 1 1/2 miles away, yet I'm forced to deal with this location. I just returned to my home after 3 weeks, and of course no mail again. I went to this location to determine where it may be, and no one knows. When I read reviews stating this is one of the most efficient post offices, I'm guessing the reviewer is only buying stamps, as that's about all these people can process. read more

This branch of USPS is always efficient, friendly, convenient. The counter folks are great. The delivery, on the other hand, is horrible. My mail is constantly mixed up with neighbors, sometimes I'm lucky enough to find it, often not. If it happens to be delivered to someone close, they often find me. Nice people at the counter. I had a package to be delivered to my home and wondered why it never was delivered. Found out the post office sent it back to the company? No rime of reason. This was a Christmas gift I had ordered for a friend. Needless to say they did not get it. There was not even a package notice in my door or mailbox so I did not know that package was even at the post office. This is not good business. read more

we use this post office a lot, it's not that busy and parking is plentiful. its fairly easy to enter the area and leave from old 41. driving north on old 41 the entrance is not so easy to see, start to look for it after "buffalo chips". they have a drop off box in the parking lot. read more
