Staffing is poor to where they have to shut down during business hours. Also, a package with tracking was dropped off during non-business hours in their mailbox, only to never get scanned for acceptance and waited over a week for it to appear on their website. They at least admitted to not doing their job properly.

Of course, they hire based on who they are friends with, so the only possible way this location will ever improve is by firing the entire employee base and starting fresh, without engaging in any of the usual modern hiring practices and instead hiring based on merit/qualifications/experience. Until that happens, the rating of this embarrassment will only ever fall further ( not that it can go much lower than it already is ). Of course, hiding from false claims of " isms " and " ists " is infinitely more important than providing quality service to those in charge of such positions, having turned them into nothing more than a form of welfare by removing all meaningful expectations of such employees. It's a subcontracted joint that's inside a gas station so the guy behind the desk is the same guy who works the gas station register and the same guy who takes inventory. Go somewhere else if you're short on time. We were there for 20 minutes with no line but with anyone trailing in the gas station to buy a coke or pack of cigarettes, he'd need to go and work that register...which makes sense I guess since the usps is only their side business but by the end of the wait the clerk said that the scale wasn't working and so we'd have to take our boxes to another location. What a waste of time.

This resulted in more efficient shipping and even saved me a bit of money. Instead of sending multiple individual items to the same address, I was able to bundle some packages and send them faster and cheaper. While I was in store, there were customers coming to send packages, purchase money orders, and even some with passport appointments. These ladies were extremely kind. They exercised patience when customers had different issues and took their time to explain the solution. This visit made today's errand much smoother. Thanks again, ladies! What I did learn was that this post office is a substation of the post office on 11 mile and Greenfield? They cannot do certain things for that reason so just passports, stopping previous tenant from sending mail to your new address, etc. so may be better off headed to a full post office. It's still true that this post office does take lunch break sometimes isn't open.
