The Post Office used to be so great. But they are trying to do away with everything that once held US society together. I think they have reduced the staff significantly. My Belleville mail delivery person is really terrible. I have a mailbox with a lid, and it is left open every time it is pouring out, so that my mail is floating in water for several hours before I get home from work. I regularly get mail belonging to neighbors and my landlord's mail is in my box on a daily basis even though his own mailbox is literally less than one foot from mine and has a big slot. Yet my mail person cannot find the time to put the mail in the right box. I don't blame them. I blame the fact that they have probably slashed the staff in half in recent years and made everyone do twice as much mail, so they are frantically trying to get through their routes. read more

If zero stars was an option that's what I would give the customer service in this post office. I visit this post office due to being the closest to where I live and cringe everytime I step foot in there. I have been treated rudely every single time. Yesterday was the straw that broke the camel's back. I went in there to ask a simple question. Again the same lady who always sits in the last window gives me rude service. I asked for her supervisor's phone number. She asks why? I told her, "everytime I come here you've been rude to me." She said it is my perception. She treats everyone the same. I said negative, I stood in line and watched you treat the other customers before me differently. I called USPS and made a complaint as soon as I got home. They told me they do not condone this type of behavior and take it seriously. It is currently being investigated. I suggest that everyone who has experienced this poor service to make a complaint with USPS, perhaps that will be the only way to get quality service. read more

They never answer their phone or call back at all -- even when they say they will. I ALWAYS have to schedule a redelivery for packages that are scanned as delivered and I won't get them till days later. My mail carrier scans packages as delivered before she even delivers them, and there is a 20min time span between the scan and the actual delivery. She's even told me herself that she scans it when she arrives in the area and then drives around to deliver so she's not carrying it. I can see a big box but an envelope or small bag?? Ridiculous. This is ridiculous who ever delivers mail to Franklin Ave should be fired last week two of my packages came opened, and I don't mean little open at the sides I mean completely slashed open by a knife to the point one of my packages had clothing falling out of it, another one I ordered was cat litter well when I got the package it was totally opened and who ever slashed it opened punctured a slash into the litter bag making the entire litter spill all over my front door and steps! So when i called Belleville post office and asked to speak to the manager I was on hold for 30 minutes when I was finally transferred I got his/her mailbox!!! so I called back complaining that they had me on hold for 30 min just to send me to a mailbox and the lady rudely told me that if I have any complaints I would have to call the 800 #. I'm sorry what the F*** is there a point of having a manager then there, to just sit on their ass and get a paycheck!!!!! what are my $15,000 in taxes every year go to!! if I could totally eliminate having anything received from the post office I would!! There should be some kind of audit all these people get, they been working there for too long and got so comfortable they make it seem like it's a privilege for them to deliver/ sent out your mail! but news flash our tax money pays for your job and I feel like with all the bad reviews this post office gets I'm surprised the corporate hasn't gotten involved yet!!!!! If you don't want your day ruined don't go to the post office. Staff is very rude and not helpful at all. I was told a package of mine was there and they refused to give me any information! I had a photo id proof of address and also a tracking number for the package. and printed slip from off line STATEING that my package was at the Belleville post office. BUT since I didn't have the little slip of paper the fedex left they refused to help me. VERY VERY RUDE !!!!!! read more

WORST POSTAL SERVICE EVER!!! I don't mind the long line, the wait, or the rude "i hate my life" attitude i receive from these ppl. Unfortunately i live in Belleville, so i HAVE to deal with this particularly post office, so i've learn to just ignore their cold eyes and hateful attitude. What gets me, is when i don't get my mail. It's been 2 days since I've received any mail, no one in our building got any mail the last 2 days! I do a lot of online shopping, i constantly track my packages. There's been a few times, when i would track my package and it's been marked either delivered or a "notice" was left. My package was never delivered nor was there ever a notice left in my mailbox! THESE PPL ARE LAZY!!! They just wanna sit there, do nothing, and get paid for it and when others expect them to do their jobs, they give them the look of death! I'm still waiting for a package that was suppose to be delivered this past Saturday, last time i tracked it, it said another "notice" was left which is BS. I've tried calling a few times but no one answers, i'm curious to know what happens next? Another notice? I'm sure the best way for them not to get in trouble for not wanting to do their job is to make it look like they actually tried to delivered the package, by changing the status to "notice" left. My package has mysteriously vanished and NOONE has a clue where my package is! I went in person to find my package and two older women started a conversation in front of me while laughing and ignoring me! WORST EMPLOYEES! Manager Marco needs to get fired he hasn't called me back and I call daily to have no one answer. What a shit hole!! Delivery driver denies ever having package and I found out it was not tracked by GPS scanner because it was manually imputed as delivered in this post office?! So who knows if the mail man ever got it!!!! I was home all day and checked immediately when I received the delivery notification- NO PACKAGE. OF COURSE packages are missing or opened according to these reviews- mine was definitely stolen by ratchets that get away with it! NEVER trusting this post office again! I've contacted Consumer affairs, filed multiple complaints and a report to have this place investigated. By the reviews NOTHING will change! read more

Thieves. They marked a package "Delivered" but when I checked with our regular mailman it wasn't even his SCANNER that scanned the item and marked it "DELIVERED". The customer rep at the office was very helpful, she said someone in the office scanned it however she couldn't give me the person's name. When we spoke to STEVE SHOLANDER he lied to my face and said it WASN'T scanned at the office, it was delivered by another mailman to another address. What kind of idiots do you think we are? If you can identify that it wasn't OUR regular mailman's scanner, then you can identify who's scanner it was. But the THIEF himself said he doesn't know. Really? You know why you're trying to cover up? Because it was YOU who scanned it. Mia and Tony do their jobs with dedication, honesty and hard work. You on the other hand have no pride - you can't even do the RIGHT THING. We are sending a nice mail to the POSTMASTER GENERAL and we're using FedEx Express to send that message. By the way, I hope you enjoy the eyeshadow set and lipsticks in the package. They might not match your skin pallor, you need to get out and get some sun.
