Mail deliver at 669 Joralemon St is very very poor. Mail is being deliver to wrong apartments. When call the Belleville Post Office at 415 Washington St and 525 Main Street no one pick up the phone. Tenants place all mail that doesn't belong to them for the delivery person to return the mail back to the office it not being taken back it just sitting near the wrong mailbox. this is the worst post office if you ever wanna ship or put a package for pickup avoid this one. these people do not care about you and have the worst attitudes for a 9-5 worker. I walk in right on a Thursday. Some dark skin fat lady said next and the person in front of me left the line, and so I walked up right and the lady that left the line said oh I didn't mean to leave the line so I let her back infront which is the right thing to do. I get there again and I told them I need to pick up a package please, give them my order number and show identification, and then she proceeds to be the most complicated woman ever. saying that I can't pick it up because it's not mine. for one it's under my friends name and I had ss of the order and I had my identification and order number. mind u I tried explaining it was my package but it's under my friends name. they don't care so I walked out and gave up. so now my friend goes on a Saturday to pick up the package under their name. they walk in no line, the first thing she sees is one of the lady's screaming at someone for using the wrong package when it come to shipping? so my friend is already startled from that screaming and she also has ADHD so it's a little overwhelming for her. it's her turn in line and she goes up and tries to pick it up. she shows id and for some reason they ask for a piece of mail to confirm it's you like what? but luckily she has that. and then the lady goes and tries to start something by saying "oh yea there was a guy who walked in here trying to pick it up but we didn't let him." like ok? no one asked i think my friend already knew. AND then she tries making it hard for my friend because she has 2 last names and on the package it's only one and so my friend is trying to explain that she only uses one and the lady is making a deal out of it but she decides to just hand the package over and yk what she says too. She's like "oh you know since you don't live in Belleville I can stop you from getting this package and you won't be able to ever get it." like wtf is ur problem bro like we come in with good manners and respect and u treat us like ur better than us?? literally don't give these people any business they don't deserve it. took a total of 3 days to pick up a package btw. read more

I have been coming here for years and the place is always clean and the workers are friendly. My money orders were stolen by mail LUCKILY they were Postal Money Orders. I am in the process of receiving a refund. There were four Postal Money orders stolen. So far I have received two refunds back and I look forward to receiving the last two Money orders. Always use Postal Money orders because they are insured and you will be refunded if they are stolen and fraudulently cashed by mail. MoneyGram offers their customers NO ASSISTANCE. My last few visits here have been very unpleasant. The ladies working the windows are very rude and very argumentative and aggressive with the post office comers here. That's not necessary in this town. The wait time are so long. Your usually online waiting for 20-30 minutes when the post office is mostly empty. I'm pretty sure this is the rudest post office I have ever been to. Came mid day to avoid the lines. No customers where there. Cool! Walked up to the counter and was screamed at by the grumpy old lady behind the counter. She told me I needed to wait in line till I was called. There was no line. Second I needed to ship a small package. She wouldn't open the glass to receive it. She stared at me till I forced it under the glass almost tearing it open. Next she started making fun of my hand writing. Which isn't great but it is legible. I told her 3 times where it was going and she just shook her head and continued to tell me how my hand writing was bad. Not even in a joking manner. She was serious. Finally she noticed I was wearing a graphic tee. She asked me if I was a nerd. "Um...yes?" She continued to scold me and tell me how people in the area and my age group are all glued to their phone and doing stupid things for Pokemon Go like walking across the street and getting run over or climbing trees and that it is an unsafe game. The carrier was honest enough to say my package was "too heavy" for her so I had to pick it up. She left a note the next day saying no one was home. On Saturday, 01/25/2020 @ 02:02 PM, I went to mail a Large Flat Rate box and I was seen by Clerk #3 @ the 07109 PO. She charged me the rate plus the insurance I wanted for a total of $24.55. She asked if I wanted stamps, and I said I didn't need them. After she charged me, she didn't use the $24.55 label and went on to print a new label for $02.55 and put that one on my box. She also went on to paste stamps on my box. I asked her why she was doing so and she responded because she needed to get rid of the Christmas stamps. Now my package has not been delivered and is being held at the main PO, this is due to the actions of Clerk #3. The lack of responsibility by this Clerk is beyond my comprehension. I went there for a simple service and she complicated it because of pure caprice. I hope my package does not get lost and I also wish that this Clerk be documented for her irresponsibility and so she can take her job more seriously. read more

The line in the Belleville NJ post office is always long. I understand that the lines can be long but it is frustrating when then are 3 people working and 1 is behind the counter, one is doing a line sweep (which does nothing b/c they dont even look at the little paper) and the other is walking around behind the counter not taking customers. The one lady at this post office is very angry and talks badly about the customers while they are standing right in front of her. They never have priority boxes which are supposed to be free and they cringe at the thought of giving you priority tape which is also supposed to be free. Remember when your mailman was a friendly guy who ALWAYS delivered your mail before noon, and the one place you could ALWAYS count on for fast, efficient service was your neighborhood post office? Yeah, me neither; but my dad always used to reminisce about those days, God bless him. Thank goodness he never had to visit this post office - a classic example of why USPS is a dead business walking. I generally agree with all the other reviews -- simple transactions go okay, as long as you're not in a hurry, but take anything complicated or large to UPS or FedEx. I have never written a review before, but I am today! I don't know who they hire to deliver the mail, but most of the time.. They suck! Lazy, lazy, lazy. There were times I have come home from work to find packages in the middle of my walk way. I guess climbing up a few more steps would've been too much for them to handle. Thankfully no one decided they wanted to be a thief those days. Times where it looked like my package was just thrown up on my porch. Luckily nothing broke. There are two mail boxes at my residence, which are labeled.. I couldn't tell you how many times we thought we didn't receive any mail for the day because everything was stuffed in one mailbox. We've received plenty of mail that belonged to other residences that weren't even on the same street. There would be mail (letters) for them to take & it would be left in there for days. I decided to take a drive to a usps mailbox from now on. I mean it's the least I can do, right? I recently ordered two shirts on Dec. 4th from PA. They were in NJ by Dec. 5th, and supposedly delivered on Dec. 7th.. B**** where?! Because they still have not arrived at my house & it is currently the 16th. Guess I'll just give empty Christmas presents. I have called & called, and each time I have gotten the run around. Either you guys did NOT deliver or one of your employees is a thief! Twice I have tracked packages I ordered online and received a notice through UPS that it was delivered to the local post office, which attempted delivery and left a notice. However, in each case, there was no notice! I have lived here for years and was accustomed to getting notices which asked for a signature and that system worked. At this point, I doubt they ever came here with the package. And I checked the mail just a few minutes after the carrier left, so if there had been a notice I would have seen it. If I could rate 0 stars I would. The only reason I even made a yelp account was to review this shit hole. I took my 2 packages to this location as I do every other time I need to send things and the customer service was unbelievable. The one blonde lady who was working was so condescending and rude yelling at me for having the "wrong postage" (I have been sending identical packages for the past month or so with no hassle) and when I explained to her that I wasn't aware and had been sending the exact packages prior she proceeded to tell me that she didn't care and that I needed to purchase a new envelope and postage. When I asked for the packages back she rudely shoved them through the glass. This is not the first time she acts in a condescending manner to customers. I have translated and helped countless Hispanics who have been yelled at and treated like shit by this miserable lady. It's a shame she still has a job with that disgusting attitude.
