Not a bad place to be, get in and get out with NO attitude problems which is good, in post office standards! I was at the Temple City post office and had such bad customer service/attitude that I had to leave & come to this one. The lady there wasn't super nice or super rude at all. However, the only complaint I have is that I had mailed two packages and she charged me the highest rate for both without asking me which one I wanted so minus one star for that. ON THE UP SIDE THOUGH - I mailed two packages to my friend-it took one day to mail one of the items because my friend already told me that she received it. That's soo fast & efficient! read more

The workers here must be completely oblivious to the concerns of the customer. My boyfriend shipped me a flat-rate package from here (the final destination was in Oklahoma City). A pretty simple shipment, right? After all, they say "if it fits, it ships". Either some worker keyed the order incorrectly, or this box must have a mind of its own seeing as how a box that was meant to go from Los Angeles to Oklahoma City wound up in NEW JERSEY. Seriously? I guess that's in the ballpark. This error caused a 2 day delay in delivery. Quick tip: Take your business to another location, that is unless you live in NJ. One of the worst USPS locations I've ever been to. It's tiny and claustrophobic with only two employees all the time (no matter which day I've gone, it's the same two every time). They don't have their own parking, so you have to park next door at the shopping plaza. They have what seems like a parking lot in the back but there's a sign that reads "Authorized Vehicles Only" so I'm guessing that means don't enter. At times, it's such a pain to get in and out of that lot because traffic is so heavy in that area. It has NO drop off box for packages when the PO is closed and no self-serve machines, which I find the most annoying. You're that far behind? They also don't open on Saturdays. The worst customer service at this post office. I knew my postage on my packages were under and need to add more; so I went to this post office to add more money to the two packages. Than I asked the clear to scan my packages, so I can track it on eBay. You know that she said? They are not suppose to scan the packages at the counter and I was holding the line! I told her I have been shipping packages at other post offices and none of said they sound not scan packages at counter, except this one. I was told how I wasn't supposed to stuff the flat rate priority mail box so that it bulged slightly on the sides. Except that I've been sending (and receiving) packages like this for years. Every other office I've been to on either side of the country has always adhered to the rule 'If it fits, it ships'. In fact, the employees usually encourage you to make the most out of the flat rate service in any way possible. Giving 3 stars because the wait was short and the lady accepted it "this one time" even though her expression looked seriously ready to reject it. I dropped off documents to be shipped to SF. The driver in SF went to the destination at 5:03pm, so they couldn't deliver the package because the place was closed. Instead of trying again they shipped it back to the store. Then the girl calls me and tells me what happened. Then she asks if I want to pick up my package. Instead of offering if there are any options. I asked her why they didn't try to deliver it in SF instead of bringing it back. Her response was, "you should ask them. We are not UPS." Like what are you then?? Oh well I hope she will understand that once you operate a business under a name, customers expect that you represent your company instead of trying to push the responsibilities away from yourself. If you don't know how to handle a customer complaint, avoid customer interactions. Tell your manager you are not comfortable. I don't complain much, but that kind of attitude like "if I didn't do it, it's not my fault" is just not what I expected from UPS. read more

I went there to get some flat rate boxes to ship out some packages and they have none in stock. I ask when they will get a shipment, the balding lady clerk says she doesn't know. I then ask her where can I get the boxes then? She tells me to order it online. I tell but I only need 1 box and then asked her how much each size package cost to ship, she tells me to go look for the prices online. The balding lady has the worst customer service. The Asian lady is okay, but don't expect a smile. So, I have to go on to the website and order 10 boxes when I only need 1, then I have to return the extras to the brick and mortar Post Office. I guess efficiency is not in their vocabulary. UPS and FedEx are so much more efficient and pleasant to deal with. No wonder the USPS went bankrupt. read more

This branch is always understaffed. Every time I come here, there is only one worker serving customers at the counter so it's a bit slow but beyond that, it's ok. The workers aren't especially rude nor are they especially nice; they're very matter-of-fact as all government employees are. read more

Ample parking and a small town community feel are hallmarks of this post office. Often, there is no line, but during peak times, Chong and Hou, the regular staff, quickly service all the customers so there is not a long wait. They also always scan all the dropped off packages before truck pickup, which is not the case at all post offices. For business owners who do not stand in line and just drop off pre-packaged and labelled bulk mailings, this is a huge peace of mind. Love the location and the staff! read more

I have been renting a PO box at this location for over 14 years. I went to check my mail today and I found a brand new lock on my box. I plugged my key in and the lock did not turn, Box was closed, by mistake. Just like that, after 14 years, I was locked out. I alway pay box due on time and online. Not only did I pay until Dec 31, 2016, I paid it 2 weeks before due date. Unfortunately I was told box closure was due to past due. PO Box due is June 30, 2016 and I found out it was closed today June 28, 2016. Make no sense. Now I have announce to the world my address change beause someone goofed up. Pretty good, huh? read more

I'm writing this review because one of the lady there by the name of Emily. Normally this post office is .... What's the word, "not nice". Yet, can't blame all on them because there are rude customers. This month a lady name Emily who is only here for a month. She was transferred from the main office in Arcadia. She'll be going back to the main office in September. I'll be going there starting September instead of this location. Emily has been consistent on helping me and other customers who needs help. She suggests which box or how to mail certain stuff. Came here again, still see her being helpful to others. I dread coming here but they take care of the things I need done. But the reviews are true, avoid the angry Asian lady. She wasn't rude to me but I saw her being really rude to other people. A young woman came in around 4:15 PM, needing to ship a large item to Hong Kong. I am not sure what happened but the worker was being rude and had a rude tone to her voice too. She told the girl "We close at 5!!!" And the girl was about to ask her more questions and she interrupted her and said "I'm taking my break!" And the girl tried once again to ask her another question and the worker said even louder, "I'M TAKING MY BREAK!!" Jeez lady, idk who pooped in your cereal. I don't know why she decided to take her break 45 minutes before closing time, when there are like 5 people in line. Workers here are very unprofessional, especially an Asian lady who wears glasses with short hair! Told me wrong information about insurance and signature services and tried to charge me more money. Also, one time she insisted that my priority box was not 'flat' enough.. bah bah bah so I can't send it by the flat rate price. I was really mad because it was flat, I sealed the box and 100% everything was inside and flat. So I went to the other nearby USPS, no problem at all! Carriers whom work at the P.O located on Highland Avenue are lazy and useless. I put food for pick up on Saturday for fill a bag help feed families. I even went grocery shopping for more food. I left the bags in front of the mail box for pick up. I received a post card with instructions from the post office. The bags were not picked up. I wrote this review based on my experience last Thursday. I came at around 11:00am with no customers in the post office. I had a pre-weight and pre-stamp return package that needed to be shipped back to eBay. When I politely asked for a receipt, the Asian postal worker with glasses started to raise her voice and yelled at me. She said I am the customer who holds the line because I should not demand for a receipt. I then told her that I had requested the same at the other Arcadia Wheeler post office as well as the Sierra Madre post office and there was never a problem. The postal worker continued to yell at me saying it was not her job. I was speechless how unprofessional she was. Indeed, this was not my first time seeing her yelling at customers. I have been living in the city of Arcadia for over 15 years and I tried to stay away from the Duarte location for this reason. I should have gone to other locations just to avoid unhappy postal workers. Obviously, this is another Union job that complaints from customers would not get these Union thugs fired. this was my first time at this awful post office. i have a small business and i usually go to the post offices near my home, where i use delivery confirmation all the time & never have a problem. but i was out in arcadia and i really needed to ship this package. first off, sorry to say this but, as soon as you walk in a giant cabbage-fart smell hits you smack in the face! awful!! and the line was long with only two clerks working. as i am in line, i see one of the clerks giving this woman a hard time over a greeting card and making her get out of line to choose something else, they argued for awhile and the customer muttered some things under her breath and i saw the clerk watching her and giving her the evil-eye. and i thought, "hmm, what was that all about?". but i figured maybe the customer was in the wrong and i didn't hear the whole story. so then i finally am at the counter and i hand over my package. at the last minute i decide to get the delivery confirmation after she asked. so she sticks the label on and slides the delivery conf receipt to me without a postmark. so i ask her if she could postmark it for me and she snaps,"NO! you didn't fill out the address!". so even though this happened to me incredibly one other time with some nasty lady at the south pas branch, (the other clerks there never give a problem), i tell her how i go to the post office several times a week and to several different ones and i never fill it out! it is for my own records and it isn't like a customs form or insurance. so she refuses to stamp it! and i said, "why would i fill it out it is for my own reference?" she says back to me nastily, "well if it is for your own reference why do you need it postmarked?!" and then she shoves the box back at me and tells me,"just fill it out!!". i could not believe it!! i guess she needs to have a power trip to feel good about herself, i don't know. but it was so out of line. i wish i had taken my package back and left but it really needed to go out today. but now i have to worry if this evil lady will even ship it. but thankfully i saw her name tag and thankfully there is yelp! and i filed a complaint with customer service and asked the guy if it is necessary to fill it out and he said it wasn't and he didn't understand what her deal was bc it really is for my own records and she should've stamped it. if i paid for the service she should postmark it! sooo, if you see a mean scowl-faced asian lady named "CHONG", take your package to the UPS store which is in the same parking lot. oh how i wish i did! read more
