My standard nail salon had a massive wait and thats what led me to this dumpy sweatshop of a salon. This was the most painful fill in experience of my life. The tech cut and burned me with the drill multiple times. At one point, I watched the tech giggle and wipe my blood across her own hand. She never washed her hands before moving on to another person. On top of pain and cleanliness issues, the tech was rushed. The colors aren't right (multiple people had issues with paint colors not matching the swatches while I was in). The paint job itself is mediocre. The lengths don't match from hand to hand, on top of them all being too short. I asked for a removal and new set. I was assaulted and got a fill in. I love US Nails, I am a frequent customer because they are the one place in Johnson City that fits my budget and always shapes my nails the way I want. I get acrylic nails and I always leave with natural looking nails (which is my preferred look), but they usually cut too deep into my cuticle or around the edge of my nail. These small cuts are small and irrating but they do not deter me from this salon. They are extremely clean and polite as well! First time here and Henry did my pedicure. He was fantastic, from the amazing foot/leg massage to the meticulous polishing. The massage seemed longer than the usual massage given with pedis but you'll hear NO complaint from me! My legs feel so good with the increased circulation. The polish was carefully done with detail given to each nail. Oh, and did I mention the massage chairs? Best I've ever sat in. First time here and won't be back. Horrible! Receptionist did not greet me in a friendly way. No hello just do you have an appointment. Left me standing there with polish in my hand waiting to be acknowledged. Another nail tech taking a break was lying on the couch in the reception area talking and laughing on the phone. None of the techs were friendly just stared at me. All the stations were very dirty...dust everywhere. I received a very bad polish job and left with sharp ragged edges on several nails and chunky uneven polish on several nails. No one waved or said goodbye. I was a huge inconvenience to them. Pedi was good HOWEVER gel fill was extremely terrible.... the tech jerked off half the acrylic then filled in over the remaining acrylic WITHOUT just putting on a new set (that I would have been happy to pay for if given the option) and rushed through the rest of the fill in because she had a customer waiting. Friendly staff exceptional service. The only thing I didn't like was when I called and made an appointment the lady set me up with the owner after learning it was my first time. I had to wait 45 minutes after my scheduled appointment because he was so booked. Other providers were available and they kept taking walk ins. I moved to Johnson City from Washington, DC about 6 months ago and thought I'd found my salon. I always bring my little girl with me and she gets her nails polished. Today, we were there for 2 hours and 49 minutes for a basic gel mani/pedi. I had 2 different guys work on my feet and 2 different women. They cannot handle being busy! The geriatric woman who polished my nails was very rude-she cut my hand, told me my hands were too dry and my nails too short (i have toddlers and work in a hospital), her station was absolutely filthy as was her shirt and hair-full of grit from them using drill. I asked her 4 times to try on the 2 polishes before I picked one, she refused. Normally it's $55 for a gel mani and pedi, today it was $78! Terrible experience, after 6 months of regular business, I will never return. They cannot handle busy days, are unsanitary, rude, and change prices. Run don't walk in other direction! read more

Wow! I am beyond impressed! While getting my pedicure I watched a tech free hand a picture from a cell phone onto a ladies toe nails. Serious skills. I received a spa manicure and pedicure at the cost some places charge for just one of the services. So I have no doubt I will return. Tony is a no nonsense kind of guy but I am very pleased with my gel nails. No chattering from Tony. $52 and that was mani/pedi AND tip. So yes I will be back! This was the most painful experience I have ever had at a salon. During my pedicure, two of my toes ending up bleeding. The man tried to hurry and put my foot back in the water thinking I didn't notice. I have been using hydrogen peroxide because the places looked infected. While getting acrylics, my thumb was burnt with the file, along with other fingers, and the nail tech continued with my blood on her hands. She also acted like I was stupid for wanting shorter nails. My nails on my left hand are much longer than the ones on the right. In both instances, they giggled at my bleeding and continued. I will never be back. read more

This place as y is hit or miss as to how good it is. They are the best for pedicures but I have made many appointments where they take someone else ahead of me for the tech I have requested. The two youngest girls that look to be related to the owners are absolutely horrible. The first time one of them did my mails, she got up without any explanation and left me sitting for about 30 minutes until someone else came to finish when they couldn't find her. The second time doing a dip manicure she let the color uneven and splotchy. I asked for it to be redone And they got mad. The best tech, Anma has left. I have been going to US nails since the doors opened. I always loved going and having my nails done. The people who had worked here were nice, even concerned when they hadnt seen me in awhile and knew i was sick and asked how i was doing. It changed managers but was still great. Now new managment and this last year i have been dissapointed.. I had referred some people and was so upset when they told me their resaults. The manager does my nails most of the time, she was on vacation. Someone else did my nails and i needed a new set. The entire time of her doing them, She was on the phone the entire time. I had bubbles in them and looked terrible. When there done, they always turn my hands up and make sure everything is okay. i asked her to do this and she laughed and smacked my hands.. I was in such shock.They had a host at the time she looked at my nails and said "you need to have those fixed" turns out the girl who did mine, is the same one who botched my 3 friends nails i had referred there. There is no longer commucation. Just talk there language among there selfs. I also went to bathroom and there was no soap. When your finished your to wash your hands at the sink and no soap was there. I told them, go to get it in the bathroom. told them there wasnt any and did nothing.. I received a pedicure 4 days ago. The woman did not know what she was doing. She did not clip my toenails short enough and they were jagged and crooked. She didn't bother using a nail file to shape them up like every nail salon I had been to in the past. In fact I had to go to the Walgreens next door and buy a nail file to fix her mistakes later. I tried to explain to her the problem but she just nodded and smiled. She did not understand english. I now wonder if she was even licence in the state of Tennessee to perform these services. I plan to complain to the state licensing board to investigate. I would not recommend this establishment. read more

I do not give them one star. I had a full set of nails done & had to return for them to be removed. They was all different sizes & lengths. A second set was put on but they wasn't much better than the first. I do not recommend them at all. I do recommend OPI Nails. read more
