Kyle is a pleasure to work with. He's always quick to respond via e-mail and text. He provides all the information and takes payments up until a month before your event date (which is super helpful). The hall itself is awesome. It's spacious, has all the tables and chairs, has a full-use kitchen with refrigerator. Plus, pots, pans, dishes, utensils, anything you can think of really. My brother-in-law even got married here (loved the place after our baby shower, and the pricing is just too good to be true). If we have another event in the future that requires a big space, we'll definitely rent here again. I would 10/10 recommend this place if you're looking for a big space with full-use kitchen, and pretty much everything besides decorations lol

This is a great spot to have a celebration especially when it's not a big one. I really like how there's a kitchen. Especially if you're cooking for your event it's really convenient. One thing I like about this hall is the parking space. So much parking spot and you don't have to worry about guest having to find parking out in the streets. I would recommend this rental if you're doing a celebration for all sorts of things.

I have a feeling it used to be a house that was gutted into the event space, especially given the strange second floor. I had some trouble finding this place at night. The street to turn on to get to the venue was extremely dark and hard to find, and required me circling the block a bit. On the other hand, parking wasn't bad. There were several parking spots right outside the venue, but also there was easy street parking in the area. They have a nice bar area with seating, a kitchen area for food that you could hold just enough people to grab food, and a large main space that was pretty good for dance party. The ceiling of the main space was basically two floors, which at least for our party meant the lighting was kinda strange. My only real complaint is the bathroom situation. Basically, there are two bathrooms in the entire venue. Not bathroom *areas* or mens/womens, but literally two toilets. For our large group, it was technically sufficient, although we seemed to run out of toilet paper a couple hours in, but it did mean lines. I was not privy to details like the cost or the actual number of attendees, so I don't know how much it was "worth it" in that sense, but we had a good time.

December: things started out....OK. During the interview we told Ashley what we had already…read moreplanned (the venues, my dress, the DJ) and that we would truly require guidance regarding the use of other local vendors. We provided her with a budget and asked her how things should be allocated. Her answer should have been a sign from God; she told us to use the budgeting tool on theknot.com. The wedding planner told me to make my own budget? When we asked her for guidance? The plot thickens. We told her that we needed her mostly for the day-of coordination. She offered us a Partial Planning package, which included 8 hours of planning, 2 hours for the rehearsal and 10 hours on the day of the wedding. We asked her when we would need to have a caterer and a photographer contracted and if she could help with this. She gave us a deadline by the end of January. Ashley told us that she would have some vendors out to us shortly for us to choose from. She also suggested that a plated meal, rather than a buffet would be the most cost-effective method. This seemed illogical, but she was the expert so we went with it. I did not hear from her until February. I emailed and called her several times during the month of January (while I was also starting a new job), asking her to send the vendor selections. I received an email back from her stating that she was sorry that she hadn't gotten back to me, but January was the only time of year that she could go on vacation. She sent me 3 sample menus and 3 photographers. I had heard of one of the photographers and selected that one. The caterer was more difficult because I wanted my fiancé to have a say in our meal planning. We noticed that the menus were pretty spare considering the costs that were being estimated. I asked Ashley about this and she responded that she had made a mistake in telling us that a plated meal would be less expensive because all of her experience was in hotel weddings. Now? She tells me in late-February that we've been on the wrong catering format now? The photographer that I selected provided a contract. You can read about the details of my experience with that vendor at Elegant Images. The contract was not acceptable; they insisted that no other photos could be taken at our event. When I asked Ashley to negotiate the contract and remove that clause, she waited 2 weeks and told me that "I had better really like [this photographer's] portfolio and work, or drop them because they were not budging on the contract". 2 weeks work and no changes? April: we selected our caterer and started the contract process. At this time, I was becoming increasingly frustrated with Ashley. I would email her or call and leave a message and would not receive a response for at least a week. When I received a response, I was told that I was just one of many clients that she was planning for and that I needed to be patient. Too many clients? Is my money not just as green? So I started to ask around. One coordinator told me to fire Ashley and hire her for 50% of the cost, she was so offended by the examples I gave. Now, it's May. I don't have a photographer at all. I selected (practically at random) a vendor from theknot.com (because that had worked out SO WELL already) and asked Ashley to reach out to him. He was miraculously available and willing to do the deed. His contract terms were far more acceptable than the first, so we did the deal. Finally, one thing off the list! June: panicking. We had no caterer, no decoration plan, no rentals...the list went on. I asked Ashley to meet me at the venues so that we could talk about décor. I asked her to meet me at the church at 3PM. She was 30 minutes late. She had no groundbreaking ideas or money-saving hints. NONE. At the reception site, I had a blunt discussion with her about what I expected from here on out. She left, telling me not to worry, that she had everything handled. I was to expect a plan of what needed to be done on a timeline on the Tuesday after our meeting. Tuesday came and went with no email, not even one to ask for more time to put something together. What I did receive eventually, was an email saying that we were dangerously close to the 8-hour planning limit and would I like to upgrade to the Ultimate Planning package for $500 more? I responded asking her for her time break-down. I was SHOCKED when I received it. 2 hours spent "researching" caterers? Another 2 hours spent "researching" photographers? Why would an established wedding coordinator have to research vendors? Shouldn't she come with stock vendors that she's worked with several times? Half of my time was spent doing what one of my unemployed friends could have done for free. I stopped being diplomatic and sent her a strongly worded email that said what my expectations were. I received NO RESPONSE. July: I terminated the contract. She was shocked and told me that it was unexpected. WHAT?

My wedding day was completely stress free - she took care of everything. My bridesmaids and parents were able to enjoy themselves because they didn't have to be the ones that everyone comes to when a problem occurs. And I would get a response a few days/weeks later. And her response was always "I'm sorry I've been so busy". Which I understand. But that's why my husband and I hired this company because their job is to do this. It was very stressful when we didn't hear things for weeks. We also talked about cake flavors via email and come to find out on our wedding date, she never ordered one. I mean. Why would we talk about cake flavors and then not add it to the bill?! It was my fault also for not double checking the bill. What wedding doesn't have a cake!?!? When I called her , because she just left without saying anything, all she said was "all I can do is bring a fake cake". How are my guests going to eat this. So I had family run out and buy a few cakes. It was embarrassing . Being a nurse working 12 hours shifts at night, working 4-5 days a week. It was hard to meet up. Because I work 7pm to 7 am. So when I emailed her a few times to fill out the layout for the reception, she never replied. My husband called her a few times and she said to re-email it back. But did I ever get a response? No. I ended up just filling out the layout myself. When I asked her what her PayPal account name was, that's when I got a response right away. Seriously , I would not recommend them to anyone. Which is a shame, because my sister hired them a few years ago and they did fabulous. I'm not sure what happened for my wedding but it was awful. Very unfortunate.
