I had a very unpleasant experience with US Demo and Hauling and would NOT recommend them. I hired them for a partial pool demolition and here's what went wrong-- 1) They left scratches all over the driveway from the heavy machinery. The owner said these were "normal", but offered to power wash the driveway. After the wash, the scratches are still visible because they cut so deep into the concrete. I asked my neighbor for his opinion who is the civil engineer & he agreed the driveway was scratched badly from the heavy equipment 2) They left my backyard fence damaged. They removed it to allow access for their heavy equipment and left a sizable gap in the fence and the concrete anchor was pulled apart from the post. We had just installed this fence 1.5 years ago. 3) A portion of my landscape used to be covered with the pebble rocks, is now barren because they incidentally pulled them into the pool filling. 4) The pool demolition now has a section that has caved in about 24"x15"x6" plus other smaller holes & cracks on the newly filled up area. The original quo for the project was 4-5 days. However, it was done in a hasty manner and completed in 2.5 days causing noticeable damages to the property. They said they weren't responsible. This has been a nightmare of an experience that has left so many damages because of their rush, careless, & irresponsible work. read more

Great job, great crew, in and out quickly, and clean up was great. Highly recommend. They took out our pool and all surrounding concrete.

Our real estate agent who do a lot of rebuilding projects use this company for demolitions. He highly recommended them to us because he knew they also fill pools, and are very knowledgeable in this area. The person who were in charge of our project is Marcelo, who explained in detail different ways to fill pools, the pros and cons, pricings and duration of project among other important things to consider (future home value..) before we signed the contract. Communications were always smooth and when any issues arose, they were all resolved satisfactorily. We were happy there's no hidden fees and everything is clearly explained verbally and on the contract. These guys rock, big time! My neighbor used US DemoMarcelo, Ylana, and The Brazilian Crew were very professional and courteous. Their cost was reasonable for a partial pool demolition, and was completed in 4 days. The boys were very resourceful when it came to on-the-spot repairs to service their Bobcat. They also pulled the permits and slated the start/finish schedule in record time. The crew - David, Victor, Roberto, and the ancillary crew, were fun to hang with during lunch break. One of life's pleasures is watching how smart, expert people work. Recently I contracted with US Demo to do a partial removal of my swimming pool (break the pool into chunks and then bury it under dirt fill). Once the US Demo team arrived, I got to enjoy watching an experienced demolition team that I never once saw perform a wasted motion. They worked steadily with obvious skill and no hesitation about jumping right away on to the next steps. These guys knew exactly what they were doing. (They were also unfailingly polite and even did me small favors: One of those favors was spontaneously offering to break up the heavy trunk of a recently fallen plum tree near the pool area and whisk the pieces to the trailer where they stashed their trash. I was not looking forward to chain sawing that damned thing into sections, so when they offered to do that job for me, it instantly got added to the other pleasant memories of US Demo.) The back office was just as fine. US Demo's owner, Marcelo, and administrative assistant, Ylana, were courteous, responded quickly to my emails, and patiently defined terms in the contract. So, for me, absolutely no second thoughts about US Demo. I don't think you can find another Bay Area company that is more skilled or more upfront. read more

We needed our pool demo'ed and filled. I got multiple estimates and was surprised this company was able to come out on-site the same day, and get me the estimate the following day. They seemed very on top of things and got everything done in a timely manner. It was also easy to contact them with any questions or concerns. The estimator and owner Marcelo is one of the nicest contractors I've ever worked with. The work was done relatively quickly and they did a great job. When I noticed our gate that needed to be removed wasn't put back properly and slightly damaged, Marcelo came out with one of his crew to personally make sure it was re-done right. US Demo demolish and filled my pool in Fremont CA in April 2022. They did an excellent job and I highly recommended this business . The do free estimate, explain to me type of pool demo-filling (complete or partial ) and do the filling for city permit . They bring in tons of (literally) clean dirt to fill my pool after demo. They also did some clean cut on the pool edge concrete so the final area look more smooth and natural. I'm very impressed by their overall professional work. read more

I worked with Marcelo and his crew on two separate jobs. First they demolished my kitchen, and later I had them demo my bathroom. These guys are efficient, clean, and did a wonderful job of letting me know what/when things were happening. Even better, they were genuinely concerned with my satisfaction, and went out of their way, more than a few times, to make sure I was happy. We used this company to remove our pool and fill in the hole. They did a very good job. They took care of the city permit and communicating with the inspector for the sign off visits. They were dependable, arrived on time and completed the work when they said they would. They cleaned up each day and put our fence back up when they finished the job.
