Within several months of my arrival, my vehicle -- which contained essential supplies and irreplaceable personal belongings -- was impounded. The loss of transportation and personal property created severe hardship and emotional strain. When I later attempted to recover information about my vehicle, I experienced confusion and distress after being asked for the VIN number as if there were no prior ownership record. I was ultimately informed that the vehicle had already been removed. This experience left me feeling powerless, dismissed, and deeply discouraged. In addition to the property loss, I also reported experiencing situations that caused me to fear for my personal safety, including suspected stalking and a possible sexual assault during my time exploring and attempting to integrate into the community. Reporting these concerns was emotionally difficult and required significant courage. The aftermath left me feeling unsafe, unsupported, and anxious about my well-being. The cumulative impact of these experiences has been profound. I have endured ongoing emotional distress, loss of trust, fear, and difficulty rebuilding stability. It is very open and spacious with tables with computers and chairs spread throughout. There is also an area in the back for kids and even a play area. Self check out kiosks in the front which were very interesting and quick to use. My mini me and her baby came to get some books and have a little fun in the kids area before we headed home. Vallejo City Hall is a very nice place and I'm giving stars JUST for the security lady who is just so cool and smiling and funny...great hire right there, city of Vallejo! Also thanks to the very patient folks in traffic division who are trying really hard to get everyone to go along with all the crazy changes we're seeing here in town. I like also that the information boards are full of great stuff to read and shows that transparency in government is alive here. Their security guard on point, alert and in great service, he called me out when I was too close to the check in, unaware, he pointed to the red sign and politely asked me to wait further back to respect the privacy of others, he would assist the elderly when they couldn't hear the muffled audible calls or see the screen. I was deeply moved by all of this, and am grateful for the security and experience. Since I came in a little late I wasn't able to complete my appeal due to consideration for closing, yet I believe her name was Betty or Becky printed out all the steps and paperwork needed, I am grateful for she have the best service due to her limitations.
