Police/sheriff's have in some people's eyes, a bad reputation. I believe this is due to the fact…read morethat just as every race is stereotyped for this and that, the police unfortunately had a bad egg every now and then and then led to believe that they are all the same. Also, if you believe the police department is out to get you or have bad intentions, that may be because you possibly are doing something illegal and probably shouldn't be doing in the first place. From my experience on the other hand, is that these men and women put their life on the line every single day and risk taking the chance of possibly not being able to go home to their family at the end of their shift. They have a job to do and as difficult as it may be or even if they may not completely agree with whatever the outcome may be of a situation, ultimately, they are just doing their job. They serve and protect and every single officer that I personally know or have even come into contact with has been more than helpful and have always been polite and respectful. So please, before you think or even may say anything negative about the police department or a single officer as an individual remember, they are human too, have a family and just simply doing their job as we do day in and day out. I encourage everyone that next time they see an officer to give your gratitude and thanks because the people who say bad or negative things about them are the same exact people who call them when they need help and guess what?.... they are still there and come to serve and protect. So on my behalf, thank you to our local law enforcement and first responders for everything that you do for our community and a city as a whole. God bless

The Ventura County Sheriff refuses to enforce drunk and impaired driving laws when the offenders…read moreare California Lutheran Students. Officers have gone as far as falsifying material facts about residents who attempt to report this crime. Students have also threatened residents with physical violence and attempted in one instance to assault someone. All of this has been documented and the sheriff refuse to do anything about it despite receiving hundreds of calls from concerned citizens. Calls to service are withheld in the form of police not showing up to check out the crime for over an hour -- something that only happens when the university name is mentioned. Deputy Fox who has witnessed this crime has been barred from speaking to the community and from enforcing the law. When asked about this problem, officer Dan McCarthy said, "This is just what college kids do all across the nation." The normalization of drunk driving is a theme that goes from CLU to the Sheriff office and carries through to city council who also have no interest in doing anything. We are in danger and the police are lying about what is going on. Thousand Oaks is no longer the safe city it once was and my family is looking at other places to live. Dan McCarthy, Sargeant Ogonowski, and deputy Fox should be ashamed of themselves -- but these men have no shame and don't give a damn about our community. Officer Hernandez was showed video of a student admitting he was driving impaired and said, "We can't go do a door knock or investigate this because they're at their dorms and that would disturb their peace." Calls to service for impaired CLU students average ~60 minutes. Calls to service are noticeably faster when CLU students are not mentioned. The only thing you can expect from the Ventura County Sheriff Office is: CORRUPTION AND NEGLIGENCE.

One time they all hopped over the counter and helped me tape and attach labels. Yesterday, I had the wrong box for the label so the young lady put tape over the entire box so I could get it out. At times everyone cheered me as I made it out the door and everything was sent to my clients. I absolutely love this place they have the best employees and my heart is so full of gratitude and love. Please give them a little smile every time you see them from me.

I shipped TWO items at $14.99 each- total value $29.98. Their software printed out copy of the customs form listed the total value as $59.96- because they input into their software incorrectly and it multiplied my total value of all items by the total NUMBER of all items AGAIN! ($29.98 x2) Just like my May package that ended up costing $73 in VAT even tho it was a gift under the £50 limit (6 items / $40 declared value by me- these idiots put $240 total value on their printed form cuz 6x40 ) This time I caught them and confronted the manager. What a waste of my time "If you check the gift box they don't charge VAT" she says- not true! The manager there doesn't know their OWN policies and refused to take any responsibility when confronted with their mistake or own the fact that she doesn't train her staff properly Check your packages like a hawk before you pay! The writing on their printed out version of your form is teeny tiny but it's worth checking because they can't be trusted
