They didn't even find the faulty detector and just left. They unplugged the wrong detector. We have to remember the standards of becoming firefighters are extremely low. No wonder so many houses burned down in Malibu. I wonder how all the celebrities and residents who pay millions per year in taxes and lost their homes feel about these over-paid so-called "firefighters"

A guard is here & one must use self-serve kiosk to start any service such as appointment, consultation, etc. The place is strictly forbidden to use cell phone. The guard will be on you if you violate this rule. Nice, & quiet! There are 3 windows out front (plus more in the back) for consultation and 1 window to use computer for self service. I haven't seen the consular yet as of this rating. So 4 stars for ambient & tranquility. There are also 2 unisex restrooms for those who need to use it.

Chief among these reasons is the complaint that the system is so inefficient. You have to spend all damn day sitting in the Jury Room waiting to see if you will be called for a jury panel. The inefficiency is irritating to the point of exasperation for many people. In the past, every time I've served I've overheard people saying, There's Got To Be A Better Way. Ok, you're not going to believe this, but they finally discovered a Better Way! For real, they actually fixed the inefficiency problem. You no longer have to wait around all day. These days when you are called you are assigned to either the morning (8-12) or afternoon (1-5) group. If you are not called to a courtroom, you are excused after your four hours. Now jury service is 4 hours, or one trial (should you be called to a courtroom and empaneled). OMG, what an improvement! And this morning there were no cases to be heard, so we were released at like 10:20, with full credit. Best jury service ever! We live in the richest country in the history of the world. Our lives are better than 99.99999% of all the people that have ever existed since the beginning of time. And the country doesn't really ask that much of us as citizens. Suzanne was great and has a friendly smiling face gesture that relaxed the Jurors group. The 1 hour driving wasn't too bad except on way home. After 3pm was a rush hour, So 101 freeway was a mess with lots of offensive drivers. Overall, it was a pleasure to serve and will definitely do repeat if summoned.

I was sorely disappointed when I attended this week, (one other person was also new). The women talked among themselves, no topic was brought up and it seemed like a free for all. I wasn't even sure who was in charge. One person kept commenting about a birthday card she brought that opened up to a tree or something like that. Little did she know those kinds of cards have been available for at least 10 years. I waited 10 to 15 minutes and then had to leave. New people were ignored and everyone just talked to their friends. It was a complete waste of time snd not a friendly atmosphere for a newcomer.
