Not only are you supporting a good cause…read moreand your community, but you end up getting such a better deal on the same quality of clothes that you would find at the mall. Some pieces I've found still have tags on them, and others are one of a kind vintage pieces. I tried on some jeans, and one of the younger, trendier workers that was assisting near the dressing rooms, I think her name was Robin, totally helped me style them. She was so amazing! The prices are somewhat fair, similar to goodwill, some exceeding depending on the brand, but cheaper than a designer consignment store. All of the clothes are donated, and what's even cooler is that all of the workers are volunteers. This one in Thousand Oaks has the most wonderful community of older women who use their time to give back to the community. They're all so nice and kind, and are always up for a conversation. Additionally, they have jewelry, accessories, houseware, and trinkets. The hours are a bit tricky, but it's worth checking out if you are free.

I understand businesses have policies, but I was disappointed by the lack of compassion and flexibility, especially for a disabled customer. I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision before visiting, particularly seniors and people with mobility challenges.

The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The first time I went in was right before Christmas, when I had just moved into my new home and needed a dining room table for Christmas dinner. I was able to find exactly what I needed, and they even helped me load it into my car. I later went back and found a family room table at a great price as well. Most recently, I stopped in looking for a single cabinet knob to replace one that was missing--and once again, they came through. Their selection is impressive, even for small items, and the people who work there are always kind and willing to help. Great prices, great selection, and genuinely friendly people. I highly recommend the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Simi Valley.

For instance if I am looking at most of there lighting I can get the same light fixtures Brand new and cheaper on Wayfair or overstock.com delivered with the ability to return. Whoever does their pricing is way out of touch with what used furniture thrift store furniture should cost they have the same furniture week after week because it's priced way too high. Therefore defeating the purpose of habitat humanity. If you're really looking for a good habitat for humanity the one in Oxnard is excellent five star review great customer service great prices and their furniture is constantly turning over so there's constantly new stuff because everything is priced reasonably Do yourself a favor and skip the Simi Valley store go to the Oxnard store have a great experience and be able to purchase items at reasonable and fair pricing .
