The staff is consistently friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The first time I went in was right before Christmas, when I had just moved into my new home and needed a dining room table for Christmas dinner. I was able to find exactly what I needed, and they even helped me load it into my car. I later went back and found a family room table at a great price as well. Most recently, I stopped in looking for a single cabinet knob to replace one that was missing--and once again, they came through. Their selection is impressive, even for small items, and the people who work there are always kind and willing to help. Great prices, great selection, and genuinely friendly people. I highly recommend the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Simi Valley.

The customer service is really good. Everyone there tries to be very helpful…read more However the prices on most items our way too expensive. For instance if I am looking at most of there lighting I can get the same light fixtures Brand new and cheaper on Wayfair or overstock.com delivered with the ability to return. Whoever does their pricing is way out of touch with what used furniture thrift store furniture should cost they have the same furniture week after week because it's priced way too high. Therefore defeating the purpose of habitat humanity. If you're really looking for a good habitat for humanity the one in Oxnard is excellent five star review great customer service great prices and their furniture is constantly turning over so there's constantly new stuff because everything is priced reasonably Do yourself a favor and skip the Simi Valley store go to the Oxnard store have a great experience and be able to purchase items at reasonable and fair pricing .

In looking for a dog, I'd had no luck making phone calls and emails…read more We decided to go to Thousand Oaks and visit a few rescues. Well, as soon as we walked in Shelter Hope Pet Shop and were warmly greeted, we saw several dogs that were just what we wanted! We played with a few, all the while, the attentive staff answered questions about the dogs (and just questions in general). Before long, I was in love, SHEER LOVE, with Lola. We knew she was the dog for us! (Ya just know!) They asked me if I wanted to "foster" her overnight, just to get a feel for her, and that sounded great. I was interviewed by Danielle, who does the screening process. All the paperwork and payment were easily taken care of. This group of women (Sydney, Gale, Danielle and the owner, Kim) were all so nice and helpful. As I said, my last dog lived to the old age of 17, so I was a bit rusty on the new dog information. "There is no such thing as a dumb question"? Well, I had some pretty dumb, basic dog care questions. The women were all so nice and caring and gave me great advice. You can just tell they really truly care about the animals and the homes they go to. I went home with my new soulmate, but I still had questions. She wasn't eating much, etc. All of this is totally expected with a rescued animal. I'd never had a rescue. They all told me I could email or call anytime, with any questions.(And I DID) They were wonderful. 3 weeks later, I am incredibly happy with my new furry friend. Thank you, Sydney, Gale, Danielle and especially Kim, for making me a happy owner with a much loved new friend. PS If I spelled any of their names wrong, I am sorry. They were all terrific and great sources of information. Additionally, I rec'd coupons for a free vet exam, grooming, and other services. I would recommend SHPS very highly!

Arrived to see staff inside the building with the door locked. Was rudely told to apply online to adopt a dog I never met and that maybe- maybe someone will have enough time to get back to me. I'm sure they have good intentions but feel like this place needs better management. Would suggest looking elsewhere for pet adoptions to not waste your time.
