When I am volunteering I see nothing but dedicated individuals answering calls, reaching out to local government, city officials creating strategic solutions to be able to serve the people they serve. They work hard to keep the doors open!! Interacting with both of them has been nothing but positive and NEVER toxic. I have been given a tour of the pantry and COO interactions have been nothing but lovely. The pantry is just one part of this place. I am sorry Eric J but your information is false. As far as the bathroom I can't speak on that because they have bathrooms in the office I volunteer at. Research your facts before posting such ignorant reviews. If I ever need help in Ventura County I will go to Project and will always refer people to this organization before anywhere else and the reason for that is solely because of the CEO and COO. They COO, Jan H and the CEO B. Beasley are never there and pay themselves good but aren't they supposed to be helping the homeless. Jan H . Is toxic and creates a toxic and hostile work environment for the poor employees there.While volunteering there I observed a "policy " be implemented by Jan H. that won't allow the homeless clients to use the restroom while there receiving services because she also uses that bathroom. The poor case workers can't even let their clients go pee with out fear of some sort of retaliation or reprimand for a inhumane and prejudiced policy.

Their Backyard Bounty Program also provides a team that will come and pick the unwanted fruit for donation. A fabulous community service.

Even though I give food to lots of local food drives, I would not have made the trip over to the Food Bank myself without a little extra impetus! The Food Bank Coalition of San Luis Obispo has just changed its name to the San Luis Obispo County Food Bank. They are located on Kendall Road, across from the airport, and will take direct donations. We had a bunch of dry soups near their expiration date, and packaged them all up in a box and took them over. They were happy to give us a short tour, and we were surprised to see that they are in a big warehouse space. Our "guide" told us that they feed 30,000 individuals in SLO per month. I also read an article in the New Times that stated that they are looking for a new director. Our donation weighed in at 27 pounds. We got a receipt, and felt good for taking the drive over to the Food Bank.

Sonia along with her kids and the many volunteers that come together to put these awesome bags together for children ranging from infant to teens that are suddenly taken out of their homes without any warning. They are donation based and so with that they are always in need of clothing, toiletries, coloring books, things that are both a necessity & then that small item that might be able to give a child a bit of comfort in a traumatizing time. I had the pleasure of putting together a donation collection through my office last year, the picture I posted does not even do justice as that box was packed... We had such an outpouring of support and it goes for such a wonderful cause. A year round organization , they can always use volunteers to help put the bags together and Sonia along with her family are a joy to work with.
