At a former job of mine, Food Share allowed the educational non-profit organization I worked for to shop weekly for fresh produce to distribute directly to elementary school students and families served in need, many of whom struggled with food insecurity. This partnership was vital, and very much appreciated by all because it helped improve food access throughout our community at wellness fairs and nutrition classes. Thank you for your hard work! I saw a Cuisinart ice cream maker here and contemplated getting it but I knew I had an attachment for my Kitchen Aid stand mixer for ice cream making at home so I left it on the shelf. Well, I made ice cream the next day and my Kithchen Aid bowl cracked. I decided to go back here the next day and see if the ice cream maker was still there. It was! $14.99 and makes great ice cream! They check the electronics before putting it on the floor but they still plugged it in for me at the cash register so that I could see it works. There are no refunds but they will do exchanges within 7 days for equal or lesser price if you keep the Goodwill price tag on.

I wanted to donate here because Good Will is such a scam on turning around and selling items for the same price as new in a retail store and I like that this donation company helps the homeless. But man, these drop-off guys are getting lazy. An older gentleman did not help me unload my items. The last time I donate a bunch of brand new with tags clothing and the guy helped me unload my car. Yay for being open to accept donations but they need some classes on how to be friendly and helpful. I shouldn't have had to ask for a receipt which the guy just seemed bothered that I asked for one.

We volunteered here a couple of weeks ago. As volunteer staff in the evening dinner service it was…read moreheart breaking and humbling to help out. Those in need truly benefited from the chance for a warm meal of merit + a few minutes of Christian guidance. My daughters and I served plates, bussed tables, and I serviced the water for the dining room. They carry on entirely with NO government support. It is all funded with donations of food and materials which they sell at their thrift shops. They claim 86% of all revenue pass through to the actual rescue mission. That is exceptionally efficient! With their operation they generate an average of 500 meals a day. This translates into 3500 meals a week... or about 15,000 / 30 day month.... or an IMPRESSIVE 180,000 meals a year! Families are served separate from single men, and the men are divided into a safer and not so safe group. Children and young people volunteer and the staff watches over them carefully. Contact or interaction with volunteers and those they serve is well managed and seems safe enough. By the same token those whom my daughters and I served were cordial and grateful with thanks and smiles. I am truly humbled by their plight and am looking to help in more ways then just volunteer hours. I encourage one and all to go volunteer. It will help you find thankfulness for where-ever you are in life ... and your time and efforts will help those in need in meaningful ways. The organization also runs facilities which provide a safe place to sleep. They have rules for those sleeping in their facilities so it is sheltering and permanent continuous residency. Curious and logical. Oh well - there it is .... do some good for others ... maybe do so good for some in our region who have great need for basic survival. I give 4 stars because it can always get better. I have seen amazing work done by other organizations for those in need (in comparison).

But I saw some really unique dining sets, which I WOULD buy if I lived in a much larger space! They have stricter standards for furniture they'll take, so prices are higher but still super affordable. It's laid out bit like showroom warehouse. The back corner has all the 'contractor' type items for building, painting, and adding smaller finishes. I would return to see if any smaller items pop up, and maybe some of the artwork up in the front of store.

It is possible move about the multiple trails at your own pace self guided, or join tours (when offered) to learn about the Plants, Birds, Geology, and Art.
