This location has reasonable prices. I came here last weekend with a friend and she got a really nice floor lamp for $12 that would have easily been $120 brand new retail. I saw a Cuisinart ice cream maker here and contemplated getting it but I knew I had an attachment for my Kitchen Aid stand mixer for ice cream making at home so I left it on the shelf. Well, I made ice cream the next day and my Kithchen Aid bowl cracked. I decided to go back here the next day and see if the ice cream maker was still there. It was! $14.99 and makes great ice cream! They check the electronics before putting it on the floor but they still plugged it in for me at the cash register so that I could see it works. There are no refunds but they will do exchanges within 7 days for equal or lesser price if you keep the Goodwill price tag on. read more

Came here to shop the other day after getting groceries from Von's. I needed help finding overalls and this nice young man I always see who wears a hat was polite enough to walk me over and show me where they were. Best donation place ever. Seemed very grateful for my donations and helped me with it. Some places make me feel like a criminal for making donations and watching to make sure I put it all in the correct bins. This place just told me to put whole bags in the bins. Adored Grandson is addicted to thrifting these days. We stopped at another venue, but they didn't have men's clothing, so we tried the Ventura location of Goodwill. Aside from one boarded up window, the shop was clean and organized. AG was looking for pants and shirts, and scored one of each. I wasn't looking for anything in particular, but they had some dinner plates to a Christmas set that I got years ago. My plates have suffered chips over the years, so now I'll have some pristine ones again. For 99 cents a piece, I couldn't go wrong! The cashier was very nice, so overall, good visit. read more

A agree with other people. It is not well organized. Much of the stuff is trash like some of the shorts and stuff. The prices are pretty high considering they're getting this stuff free I don't really recommend this place. There are other thrift stores not on Main Street that are better. Very slim pickings in this Goodwill. Not sure why when the Bins has tons of things to distribute out to the stores. Nevertheless they have some good choices. Pricing is jumping up on things. Actually hire people who need job and will be courteous to customers. Hence the term CUSTOMER SERVICE. Out of habit , I always block up and hang others messes as I go through the racks. Tonight , as I was about to leave I checked out one more aisle of clothing quickly and a female employee. Said " hey can you calm down , we just cleaned this rack!?" After I just cleaned up 3 of their own aisles. Always cold and rude and absurdly overpriced for a THRIFT. STORE. - the BBB should look into and investigate where their"donations" are actually being allocated towards. Terrible customer service. Great place to find cheap things! Check out their used clothes, appliances, books, pictures and knick knacks. You never know what you're going to find but you'll leave with a massive bag filled with clothes, picture frames, planters, etc and you've spent less than $30. If you're over 55, Tues is Senior discount day and you get an extra 15% off. The one drawback is since Covid, you can't try on any clothes so you have to buy it without trying it and you can EXCHANGE if you find the fit is off AT HOME. Obvs., that's a hassle. read more

Support your local Goodwill! This is one of my favorite Goodwill locations. This store is huge, clean, and they usually have quite a large book selection. That's a win in my book. There is a wide variety of items, and they are categorized well, so you know where to look for specific items. The last few times I've been here they had some neat Halloween items! There's nothing like going to a Thrift Store where things are mis-matched, messy, and you don't know where to look. The staff is friendly and I always observe them busting their tails to make the customer's experience a pleasant one. Also, a few times a month they have large sales, 50% off! I went in a few weeks ago and got some incredible books for a great price! I'll be back for sure. This place has won my business. read more

This is the location where Jo-Ann's Fabrics used to be. It is conveniently located in the Von's shopping center. There is also a Rite Aid, Subway, Thompson Donut's, a beauty supply store and a Blockbuster in this shopping plaza. The phone number is (805) 650-9339 I love Goodwill! However, I had a bad experience yesterday. If you have the choice of debit card or charge PLEASE choose DEBIT. I was overcharged by $900. It has been a nightmare trying to get my $900 back. Goodwill doesn't void transactions. Instead they issue a refund. Wells Fargo says that a debit card refund takes 5 BUSINESS DAYS! Hopefully....... Matthew, the manager, will cancel this transaction via telephone today and this nightmare will go away. read more

I came here last Saturday with my friend and his parents. Now, I'm not a skilled thrifter per se, but every now and then I get very lucky :) This was one of those times! I found a darling pair of brocade heels, in perfect condition (seriously, never been worn), for $4.99. (!!!) Wool slacks, $7.99. Wool! Go figure, I always gravitate towards to dry clean and hand wash only... it's like I enjoy making life just *that* more complicated, hehe. Anyway, two pairs of wool slacks, a sweet pair of heels, and a leather satchel - all for $16. Your math is off, you say? WELL. My finds were all half off! Pretty stellar, if you ask me. My buddy found two pairs of practically new jeans, plus a sweater... AND a barely used snowboard!!! I think he won. Hehehe oh well. Frankly, I found this Goodwill to be clean and organized, especially compared to other Goodwill locations. Plus when I was there, I saw some great deals. If I didn't already have an awesome sewing machine, for example, I'd have taken home one of the old-school metal Singers for $40! Oh yeah, and the employees were SO nice. I went in here yesterday and I wasn't wearing a mask because I have a medical condition that prohibits me from wearing one. a worker came up to me and told me "you have to wear a mask" and I said "oh I actually have a medical condition and I can't wear one" then he told me that if I didn't put a mask on I had to leave. I told him he can't just kick me out because I have a medical condition and he ACTUALLY asked me "what medical condition?" I was so upset. I told him he was not allowed to ask that because it's a violation of HIIPA and he walked away and told the other lady who was working. she came up and told me the same thing how I need to wear a mask and if I don't I have to leave and I told her I had a medical condition and I can't wear a mask. she said "welll then you need to wear a shield or something" and I said "okay that's fine, do you have one I can wear?" and she said "no, you have to purchase that yourself." I kept shopping and she walked away, then came back about 5 minutes later and told me that if I didn't leave she was going to call security. it was so ridiculous and extremely rude. according to the Americans with Disabilities Act, businesses are required to accommodate you if you have a medical condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask AND they are not allowed to ask what medical condition it is that you have. I am extremely upset and disappointed with my experience here. they were both extremely rude and didn't care to accommodate me. I thought goodwill's whole thing was supporting people with disabilities? apparently not. read more

I called 2 days in advance to donate some really good sofas and was advised to bring the so on Sunday when I borrowed, gas up the truck went to your goodwill store and when I arrived and asked the 2 gentleman that were receiving donations that I was there to donate the sofas turned me away because they had no space when though they said to come when I called. Great place to buy clothes at a good price. I just found a lovely skirt with the price tag still on it from the original shop and nabbed it for $3.99. My husband buys his Hawaiian shirts there and even finds a Tommy Bahama sometimes. Easy donation drop off on Borchard with staff that helps you unload and gives you a tax donation form. read more

I came here with a bunch of boxes, and didn't know the donation center was around the corner. The girls made eye contact with me, ignored me and continued working. No acknowledgement that I was there with boxes in the wrong spot. I had to finally ask them if this was where we donated items. They finally replied to me, said they were "with a customer" and that I was being rude because I told them I wasn't happy that they ignored me. Very bad customer service! Another reason I won't shop there! You do not tell a customer they are being rude, especially when you are the rude ones. read more

This is a large Goodwill store. The place feels spacious and the isles aren't crowded. The store is clean and has a large selection of women's clothing. Above average selection of men's clothing and some home goods. Prices are fair and staff has always been friendly and polite with me. I've come here several times and never had an issue. read more

Not a big fan of this Goodwill. Things are in a general disarray, and they could also fit a lot more interesting stuff in there, but as it stands, they seem to have a lot of empty room. Then in the back, they have odd's and ends, but they are in a general state of disarray. They have some cute jewelry at the register, but the staff will act very put out if you pick through it for too long. Remember, your presence is unnecessary. They also don't have a great selection for the fattie sect. read more

Store size is pretty good and for the most part is always organized, but selection is always a hit or miss-which is expected for the Goodwill. I like coming on the LAST WEDNESDAY of every month because this is when they have their 50% off sale on everything except purple tags, from 5pm -9pm! On this day purple tags are only only 25% off, these are the items that come from Target. One thing I find weird and ANNOYING is they close the store from 4:30p to 5:00. They then open the doors at 5p for the sale. Last 5-9p event they did this and I thought it was just dumb, it's not like people will try to buy something at 4:45p and ask for 50%-I think there customers are a lot smarter than that. A lot of customers that were waiting outside did not like that and left. Anyway-the managers here are super nice. NOTE: They don't have dressing rooms, so if you plan on buying pants, make sure to weak nylons or really skinny leggings so you can try on pants over your clothes. I learned that and it works for me. Because they don't have fitting rooms, I feel that the managers see me a lot because when I get home to try on the pieces I purchased they don't fit. Exchanging is pretty easy, you can exchange or get store credit within 5 days of purchase. read more

We drop off a lot of stuff to Goodwill regularly, we haven't looked inside yet but I'm sure there's a wide variety of thrift goods. We're glad they are there and we have a place to drop of things that others will use. I love the idea of Goodwill and all the good they do, however there are some problems. The prices have gotten out of control, often more or equal to a new item. The clothes are arranged according to color rather than size, not useful. It makes me have to hunt through everything to just find my size, too big of a task especially in the children's department. The stores are generally clean and I appreciate that. read more

This is one of the better GW stores imo. The donation receiving area is around the side of building rather than behind, making it easier to drop off donations. Parking is not a problem as it's in a plaza sharing ample space with nearby businesses. Staff are always friendly and available for helping customers. For instance, an older woman had fallen on her way out and she was instantly helped to her feet by a quick-witted staff member. On a personal note, this store doesn't seem to smell as musty as many other thrift stores, if that's not your thing. read more

I was out all day walking yesterday when I went to this Goodwill. I went to the counter and asked if I could leave my bags behind it and take a ticket to ID the bags when I left. 4 other thrift stores that day all did that. The man said I was not allowed in the store with bags- company policy, and that I should put them in my car. This is the first goodwill with this anti-pedestrian policy out of all the stores I've been to in: Oregon, Florida, New Hampshire, California, Maine, Massachusetts, throughout Australia etc etc. I don't like the policy and I don't think it's in good will. read more
