    Absolutely insane pricing

I love thrifting and supporting local thrift stores, but the Coalition is genuinely one of the most greedy and viciously pricing stores I've ever been to, charging up to fifty dollars for used undershirts and broken incomplete kitchenware items. God forbid you find a sweater or suit jacket you like because it WILL cost an arm and a leg despite them getting it for free from donations. They price things directly off of EBay listings too, which is ridiculous. They had a Shaw brothers blu ray box set they were charging $350 for... greedy and desperate

Dress found at the thrift store! They have a great selection!

Holy cow, this is place is full of gems! Went with a group of gals from Craftcation Conference. I am not usually a theiftwr, but I found the perfect dress that fit me like a glove for the dance party that night. And it was the perfect price of $12! They have a great assortment of sizes and styles! Nice people too! Definitely will come back!

They do have unique shoes here but often overpriced for used

As an avid thrifter, I've been coming to this place for years. They get a lot of unique and brand name items but here's the catch: the mark up is absolutely unrealistic! I don't know how they base the pricing but I find myself laughing out loud a lot when I visit this thrift. It is a large store and it gets really busy. It is pretty well organized and racks are separated by theme/color. I have managed to score amazing shoes here for cheap and cool, unique jackets at a great price point but it is rare (since I often refuse to pay their crazy ticket prices). I've seen a lot of antique things including furniture, art work, records, kitchenware. They also get a lot of costume-like items so if you're looking for that sort of thing, you would most likely be successful here. I've been with guy friends here a few times and they usually find a nice jacket or unique sport coat for a great price. If you like to look and treasure hunt, this place is for you. The surplus of inventory makes for a good time but just be prepared to get sticker shock.

Absolutely massive thrift store. Some good deals but also some things are really overpriced, mostly the clothes. I found a sweater that I liked and it was $70! Saw many jackets and other outerwear priced over $100. Also a lot of the toys are individually bagged and like $8 each which is pretty high for used plastic toys. I did find some books and some cool knicknacks and art, and my hubby scored some comic books. We had a good time here but definitely a little pricier than most thrift stores I frequent.

So many really cool items and clothing but it's too expensive. 30/40 for dresses with a brand! Absolutely NOT!

Every thrifters heaven- Kind of weird that they take your bags from you as you enter the store but i had way too much fun to even care. So many OLD and great things for such a decent price!! I truly had so much fun walking up and down the aisles browsing. Ended up getting 4 items and spending about 28 dollars. All of my items were priced .99 cents-4.99 with the exception of one item at 14.99 which i could not pass up! 10/10 Recommended this place to my boss and she went with her daughter and loved it

This is a nice little store, maybe it's not so little? They have a amazing variety of things which sometimes don't seem to be particularly good deals. However, every now and then you do find a little trinket worth picking up. I hate to say it, most of the time I walk through refusing to touch anything. The thrift shops smell kind of musty, but I tolerate wandering through them for the cheap thrills. Actually every once in a long while. You find something authentic that's worth picking up. Different strokes for a different folks. So why four stars... Because as far as thrift shops go, this is a little bit of a diamond in the rough that we on rare occasion wander through.

Eh-ok I happened to be in Downton around the time they opened and figure it would be a good time to check them out. I stayed for about an Hr and it was packed as I left. So best to go when they first open. My first thought was " ew, looks dirty" so that been said, maybe not the cleanest looking store. Their bric a brac section is not super impressive or organized and their items are priced ridiculously. They do however have a large amount of clothes and shoes. They have a lot of cowboy boots on the wall as well. I figure I would check the back of the store before leaving disappointed and I'm glad I did. Their furniture section is their redeemer. A lot of vintage pieces and those are well priced. I found a set of 4 crate and barrel chairs for $54. I also spotted some beautiful and good shaped coffee tables for around 40-50 bucks. I also found a brand new travel make up bag and a mini backpack almost new looking for cheap. Not a thrift store I would visit often but I love that their profits benefit abused people in our community so cheers for contributing to that.

How many years have we driven past this treasure trove, only to say, 'One of these days...'? Well…read moreTODAY was finally that day and I wish I hadn't put it off. I've visited many antique stores with varying booths, but Antique Adventures is definitely one of the tidiest and cohesive to explore. Booths are clearly marked and associates walk the aisles should guest have any questions or need assistance. I did! I asked to please see a vintage MCM bar/stereo system that was hidden in a console. 'Of course!' was the quick answer. The piece made my heart happy, being a fan of MCM, but the owner/seller had it attached to a electric "fireplace," trimmed in "brick" that seemed more 80s. I asked if it was just resting atop for display purposes but, no, I was all one large piece. Bummer. I'm guessing the top console lost contact with its legs and this was an improvised fix. I have been interested in finding a record player and a bar cart to match our Mid Century furnishings, so this may have fulfilled both wants, but it was a pass. Very cool, though. Hubs found a treasure he had been seeking for a couple of years, a DVD of a "no longer broadcast-able" episode of "30 Rock". For a couple of bucks, he was a happy hunter. LOADS of cool jewelry and also some true estate sale finds. I'm always surprised when something I see jolts a memory from the recesses of my foggy brain. A couple of weeks ago it was a Raggedy Ann and Andy lunchbox priced at $30 - WITHOUT the thermos! Mind you, this was the era where we couldn't drop our thermos for fear of the interior glass shattering, resulting shards of glass slicing our throats with the first gulp. Hmmm....wonder if that was one of those "stories" meant to scare us into caring for our possessions??? Anywho, seeing that lunchbox awoke something and I shuddered to think why the thermos was missing. Today, of all things was an unusual wall hanging sculpture of a branch of flowers, painted gold and white that hung over the head of my yellow daisy canopy bed. Someone else had THAT hanging in their home?!? Weird to think and made me chuckle. Aside from the friendly folks and easy to navigate aisles, there are a handful of parking spaces in front, but PLENTY of parking in the back lot and along the street. We'll definitely keep Antique Adventures on our "to visit" list for each time we're in the Ventura area. Maybe I'll be a lucky treasure hunter like Hubs. Cheers! "CC"
