Sally was extremely accommodating, professional and friendly. When I hadn't showed up 5 minutes into our appointment, she reached out with a very personalized text message to make sure I was not lost. Their studio had moved about two blocks down the street, but I still had the wrong address (completely on me). She made sure I knew how to get to the new location and even which side of the building to park on. Even though we started late, she was still able to perform my full one hour massage. I was extremely relaxed the entire time. The music was gorgeous and had me picturing beautiful nature scenes. I had to fight the urge to fall asleep a few times. I left feeling calm and serene. I felt more limber. The back and hip pain I had before going was gone. I would absolutely go back. If you are looking for a less commercial spa feel and more of a crystals, chakra, warm vibe, this is a great place for you. The parking is ample as well, but is metro accessible too.

The thing I love about Shine is that they let you know everything upfront from information,…read moreappointment details, policies, and expectations. Once you're in the door, they still follow strict hygienic guidelines in order to prevent the spread of illnesses, but with enough positive energy to get you into a relaxed mood. Sarah was amazing and really helped make my first time here an awesome one. They made it a safe space for me to feel comfortable enough to ask any questions and concerns. Throughout the massage, Sarah would check in with me to ensure that everything was to my liking. To summarize, this place "Shined" despite the rainy weather... Sorry, I kind of had to do the pun.

The best massage I've ever gotten…read more Angie, the owner/masseuse is absolutely incredible. She has an in-depth understanding of the muscular systems of the body. She seeks to identify and treat pain in your body. The results are long-lasting. For weeks after one of her massages I continue to feel the benefits of having had her work on my muscles. And her prices are very affordable, especially in comparison to DC prices. I have been getting massages for years. I've lived in different countries, and have tried many techniques. I've had some really really good massages. And I can say without reservation that Angie of Back2Balance is among the best. Angie is friendly, and thoughtful. She remembers things that I've said from months ago. She goes the extra mile. She gave me a sample of a particular oil she used. She has been flexible with timing, continuing my massage later, even though it was my fault for having arrived late in the first place. She adapts to my needs. I have a medical condition which makes my back particularly difficult to work on, and she not only is sensitive to it, she actually alleviates some of the substantial pain that I can experience from my muscles having contorted and tightened. If you are looking for a spa-like experience, this is not that sort of place. Her office is clean, comfortable, and professional. But it is not the sort of place that has saunas, plush robes, champagne cocktails, and that sort of thing. You may have to book your massage months in advance. It is clear that her clients are loyal, and keep coming back again and again. So her schedule is often full.

Please avoid at all costs! In the end, I never actually had my massage after she cancel the first one, and then expected me to make a last minute change when she had to change her hair availability the second time I decided it was time for me to find a new place to get a massage. The purpose of a massage is to relax and relieve stress and fortunately she causes additional. Please see my text Exchange in the photo gallery.

I made my appointment several weeks before spa week since I am an avid spaweeker. I had a vacation to Vegas planned and I determined I would not have spa services during my vacation because by the time I returned home from vacation it would be spaweek. I returned from Vegas on a Saturday and was looking forward to my Monday appointment at Pebbles Wellness Spa before returning to work on Tuesday. To my disappointment I arrived early for my 12:30pm appointment and no one was there. I waited around until about 12:50pm and someone finally showed up. Smiling and laughing as if she wasn't late. I went inside and said that I was there for a scheduled massage. Again the disappointment heightened. I was no where in the book for an appointment. The owner said that she could get me in within the next 30 minutes but I was totally out of the mood for a massage at this point. I reluctantly made another appointment since she said that spa week was extended. April 18 I returned to my scheduled aromatherapy massage. I was greeted promptly and filled out a pre screening health form. From the reception area I was taken to the massage room and I informed the masseuse about my previous misscheduled appointment. She asked that I not let that affect me coming to Pebbles Wellness in the future. I thought to myself we will see. At that point I began to experience the worst massage of my days on this earth. The lady masseuse used gloves throughout the massage and preceded to pour cold aromatherapy oil on me and rub it in.... Yes rub it in not massage it on me. Why in the world are you in this profession if you are not willing to touch a client with your bare hands? I will never return to this spa again nor will I refer anyone EVER!!!! Pebbles Wellness should be called Pebbles WORST!!!

We booked the appointment weeks in advance. 1 hour before the appointment (after we already left the house) they called the house to cancel. Of course we never got the message and showed up at our appointment time. 2. they decided to take us anyway, and said it would be a half hour wait. 3. an HOUR after our appointment time, they took my sister (when I booked the appointments they said they could take us both at the same time so we wouldn't have to wait 4. another HOUR after that, they took me. So I sat in a cramped waiting room with 3 seats, no magazines or reading materials, and no receptionist. 5. dirty floors, dirty walls, and even more grotie--- DIRTY SHEETS- they did not change sheets between clients!!! 6. The products they used for the facials were greasy, smelled bad, and did nothing to the skin. 7. No towels in the bathrooms. just 1 cheap dinner table napkin to dry your hands. 8. I waited --- all totaled-- three hours past my appointment time for a facial, then, had to wait another hour for my massage before I got sick of waiting and left without the massage. 9 On a busy highway- you hear the sounds of POLICE SIRENS and HONKING HORNS the whole time 10 They piped the SAME FOUR SONGS over the speakers the WHOLE TIME we were there. 11 False Advertising. I copied the Spa Week Ad so you could see, that the special was for a facial AND a massage for $50. But it turned out they charged $50 for MY half hour facial, $50 for my sister's facial and another $50 for my sister's HALF HOUR massage- ... which was the worst massage my sister ever had. The therapist did not listen to my sister at all. So we paid $150 when it should have been $100. Here's the Spa Week Ad--- which states the Pebbles Green Spa Special includes a facial AND massage... a TOTAL LIE: Spa Week® $50 treatments - April 11-17, 2011 Pebbles Wellness 8507 Baltimore Avenue College Park, MD 20772 301.313.0322 http://www.pebbleswell...
