My husband called up and made two appointsment one for each of us, they said the only time they could accommodate us back to back would be at 5:00 pm. At 3:30 we called to confirm and they confirmed both appointments. At 4:44 we parked out front, the meter was broken so I called it into DC and received a text back. We went into the salon, they brought us downstairs, we filled out our paper work. At that point the therapist came out and said she could only do one of us or both for 30 minutes each since they were now closing at 6 or we could just come back another time. We went back and forth, they refused to refund us (she kept saying Amazon had to refund us, I explained to her that Amazon is a marketplace that the salon has our money) and so I sent my husband in to do the one hour and would deal with the other issue at a later time. By now, it is a few minutes before 5 (our original appointment time). At 5:15 a young man showed up for his 5:15, the receptionist knocks and the therapist comes out and tells him to sit as she will only be a few more minutes. The receptionist leaves to go to Starbucks, and does not come back. At around 5:30, I told him she was doing a one-hour massage that started around 5. He said he could not wait and left. At 5:37 she comes out to take the 5:15 appointment and said she was finished with the massage. I told her it was a one-hour and she wasn't even in for 40 minutes. She told me she started just after 4:30, which I told her was not accurate and showed her the parking text (4:44pm outside the salon), and the text was before the paperwork and back and forth on scheduling and refunds. She went back in for a few more minutes finally coming out at 4:47, still not an hour massage and with two interruptions, but at that point it was futile. Now, there is another man who says he has a 6pm appointment and the receptionist is still not back from Starbucks. At that point we left. My husband said the massage was marginal and she clearly rushed through it. So now we were ripped off, and left with a worthless pre-paid second massage. We will also complain to Amazon.

About an hour later i get a txt on my cell from Dr. Knight to tell me that someone booked 3 colonic sessions online for the next 3 weeks at the times she offered me. Most unprofessional scheduling. I couldn't help but laugh at how horrible that voice mail was. I could barely understand the lady because of how loud the back round music was. She was very muffled. Not only they did call me to confirm my appointment time. They emailed me AND texted me. So here comes Saturday. It's 10:03am..:appointment time is 10am.... door is locked. We knock... nothing. Old school doorman that actually opened doors and did the thing Sleek/modern interior design at hotel lobby- Concierge that gave clear directions and didn't seem like I was bothering him (you need to go to elevators and press B3 on the keypad BEFORE you get in the elevator). Polite/attentive/prompt receptionists at the Spa Minimalist but immaculate reception area The relaxing room chairs are so comfy I fell sleep! If they had issued me a blanket I would've been knocked out for the count! There is a cart w different types of tea/ infused water and snacks (they are nut based so if you have an allergy bring your own or ask) My services both included a glass of champagne at the end. I saw others with cold water bottles given to them. Either way, The entire area was immaculate clean. I was one of the first clients of the day but by the time my second service was coming it was almost standing room (that lasted a couple of mins only hence no stars were deducted). The relaxation room is unisex so keep that in mind if you're sensitive to that. I am not. I had two services with time to relax in between/before/after. My first was a facial with Anna. She came in on time- and explained ahead of time what was included and my options for additional services "if she thought I needed based on her evaluation" wow... I've had facials in many places/countries. She is THE BEST. I will be coming back and sending my husband. She is merciless tho. If you have never had a deep extraction, take an ibuprofen 20mins before and BREATHE... the pain is worth it. It's a mechanical extraction not manual. I may or may not have teared up. But my skin. There are full curtain tracks for privacy, but the curtains between each lounger only go halfway down the track. The treatment room is nice. Linyi gave me an excellent massage but that doesn't make up for the whole experience, which is overall lacking. Front desktop is super nice and friendly as well but you can just tell that this place was really added just to say there is a spa. I do not recommend this place at all.

I've specified several times just my upper back, just my neck, only my shoulder no lower half! Last week I went in around 7:30. Received the most painfully inconsiderate massage. The guy never asked if I was ok when I was tapping the table and flinching. He was yelling to the guy at the front and sucking his teeth every-time someone came in. Due to the mall closing at 8. Although the massage was one of the most painful my shoulder felt so much relief so I chalked it up to me being sore and him being ready to go home. Yesterday was the last straw. I only asked for 10 minutes because I didn't have much time. I showed the guy where my pain was and said only my shoulder and neck. He said shoulder and neck to clarify. I say yes and proceed to lay down. I wasn't sure if that was the same guy that usually touches my behind so I made sure he knew what I wanted and did not want touched. The first 3 minutes he was on my glutes and even went in my crack. I redirected him to my shoulder a few moments later her was back on my glutes. I asked him to stop and he acted as is he didn't hear me and moved to the other side. I asked how much time was left to which he ignore me. I sat up preventing him from massaging me. I asked him to stop the timer so I can finish with someone else. He appeared confused but I know he wasn't. This guy has done this several times before but this was the last time! When he did attempt my shoulder he pressed out it like a cat pouncing no technique no pressure just my body rocking and my butt shaking to the point he needed to adjust and smooth the sheet over my lower half again. They originally wanted me to pay him for 6 minutes but I explained to the guy at the front that I told him to stop several times and he ignored me. Once I sat up he continued to let the time run and made it appear as if we were almost done. I was annoyed but patiently waited for another person. To sum her up she was too light and due to whatever she was told the massage was complete trash and was about 5 minutes. This is the first time I didn't tip and i am also making that my last visit. The guy at the front kept mentioning they didn't charge me for the 6 minutes from the guy it was free and I told him it should be. The place was very clean was shown the room hung up my clothes and kept my boxers on and was covered up with a sheet and Lisa began to give me the best full body massage I have ever had hitting all of my tension spots throughout my neck back shoulders moving the sheet to the necessary spots with a littte massage oil and then moving down to my thighs and legs and then to my ankles and my feet massaging all of my toes. Then brought a hot towel and wiped off the oil I then turned over on my back and she proceeded to massage my head ears neck and face , I felt like I fell asleep for a few minutes . I was paired up with a female masseuse who was sweet enough in manner but didn't seem to speak much English so when I asked her to only focus on my neck or when I kept asking for deeper pressure, she was respond in agreement but then would proceed to continue doing what I asked her not to do. I specifically asked her to only focus on my upper back/neck area and not to do my whole body. She did work on my upper area but then proceeded to do the rest of my body when I asked her not to. I know they are trained to do full body massages but the purpose of getting a massage for a lot folks is to get some relief from pain or tight muscles with specific attention to problem areas. If I'm going to pay an inordinate amount of money for an hour massage, I'd rather not have it wasted on parts of my body I don't need worked on.
