After spending hours on the phone with said insurance, they literally explained exactly how the office could correct the issue and resubmit the claim properly. I then spent HOURS trying to communicate this to ConvenientMD's billing staff, only to be told they would not fix a coding error THEY made. Not "could not." Would not. They knowingly left me responsible for charges created by their own mistake. What makes this even worse is the complete lack of accountability and communication. They advertise email responses within 24-48 hours, yet days later there was still no response at all. Patients should not have to act as middlemen between an urgent care and an insurance company because the billing department refuses to do its job.

I think it's from allergies but I'm not positive. It is extremely uncomfortable with symptoms that include vertigo, earaches, intense sinus pressure and more. Up until now, I have had to try using over the counter remedies until a doctor's office could fit me in which usually means 3-5 days of pain and misery. However, one day while waiting for my doctor's appointment to arrive, the pain became too much and I needed help. My first idea was to go to the ER which I'm sure would been helpful however, it's a long wait and includes everything else that comes along with an ER visit. On a whim, I thought about going to Urgent Care and went to the Carewell website for directions. I saw on the website that they do virtual visits and had one open within the hour. I followed all the instructions and within 10 min. I had a text confirmation with instructions. About 15 minutes before my appointment, they sent another with a link to my appointment and then time came for my appointment. I clicked on the link and was connected with doctor Meg. She was incredibly nice, very empathetic, explained exactly what she believed was happening and then called in my prescriptions to hopefully solve the problem. She also articulated a plan B if it plan A did not work. Luckily, this solved my problem and since that time, the same thing happened one other time in which Dr. "Liz" was equally nice and helpful. I decided to post this in hopes that it might be able to help someone else in a similar situation knowing that not everything is 100% perfect and there are some cases in which the doctors will need to see you in-person in order to give you a correct diagnosis. That all s aid, thank you again to the great doctors at Carewell, I greatly appreciate all the help, relief & peace of mind you've provided me since finding you in January 2025.

ALL the rooms were empty from what I could see, but I think they had one other patient. NO one was in the waiting room. And the desk dude was complaining that the old man was here at 3am. And then said "Well I GUESS your heart rate is a little high." I was polite and courteous as i went in and in the central area like right in front of me I heard them say something about why they need to keep people over 80 alive. I was like wtf did I just hear??? I was like maybe they had a bad day but saying that out loud is crazy. No one with that attitude should be working in the ER, I'm sorry. But the MORNING people are not like that. Unfortunately, a lot of times I've had severe emergencies in the middle of the night, I have a lot of different medical conditions. And I know, the ER is for 'if your dying' but it's also for 'to make sure you aren't dying' because sometimes not going you can die if you don't get it checked.

First, I was told I was no longer able to see physicians at this practice and would be required to select a new GP. My new GP was a 70 year old doctor at North Street whose solution to everything was to throw pills at me. After my first 6 months he decided he was going to retire and only worked 2 1/2 days a week. I was given the option of a new GP which I chose. My new GP was located at Strawberry Hill. It took 6 months to schedule with her. She lasted less than a year and quit. For 14 months I had no GP. Now a new GP has bern assigned and voila! he is at the Station Ave facility which is 2 miles from my house. This is infinitely better than the 20 mins it took to go to Hyannis. But wait! It gets better. My new GP met with me for orientation med review etc. Filled my scripts including my ADHD meds that I e taken for over 20 years. Upon my second visit, he had completely forgotten that we met, was generally acting like a 25 year old idiot telling me disgusting stories of his kidney surgery and then proceeded to tell me that he was cutting back my ADHD script by 67% that 'this is the best I can do for you'... are we cutting some sort of back room drug deal? Umm no. You're not qualified to make that determination, and you are not allowed to alter a 20 year old stabilized treatment plan. No sir, that will not work for me. Then I was systematically dehumanized, made to feel like I was treated like a drug addict, forced to sign a two page narcotics use contract that read like I had just been paroled from prison on drug charges, I was referred to an ADHD psychiatrist for re-evaluation (who happens to be a pediatric physician) and get this - he told me straight up 'I'm not writing your scripts for this anymore, and I'll write for two weeks and then you're on your own'. I was also forced to comply with random urinalysis screening that attempt to disqualify people from receiving care involving controlled substances. I went to execute the required labs at Quest, which is what I chose. The doctor conveniently changed the lab work to MACC's internal lab. Well now, looks like WAR it is after all. Nothing like being treated like a drug seeking junkie to make you realize your value as a human being or patient at MACC f.k.a. Emerald Physicians. Incidentally, my 20 year compliance record is SPOTLESS in terms of use, and I have decades of records to prove it, including 3 years of records with CCH, which MACC is part of now. I have never felt so denigrated, de-humanized and offended in my life. Jonathan Berg, you don't deserve to practice medicine here or anywhere. When you made my care about your agenda and not my treatment or health, you lost my respect permanently. Emerald Physicians/MACC has good doctors and excellent PA's and nurses. You're just not one of them. It is impossible to establish treatment/care relationships with any of the Doctors there that you'd want to see, as none have accepted new patients in many years. CCH continues to hire physicians who are in the business of medicine, vs. the care of patients. The physicians who try to care for their patients leave because the entire system is setup is toxic. Even the receptionists are pissed off and rude. I can't recommend this practice. If you don't need referrals, CCH Clinics are quite good.

RN Holly and PA-C Mitchell Bisson took very good care of me, Supper kind and caring , took time to explain informtaion and very understanding and sympathetic. This was actually the second time i returned to urgie regarding the same issue. And the first time I saw PA-C jacklyn Reis and nurse Holly, and so kind and understanding of my situation . Jacklyn actully gave me some resources on places i could go to as well for my teeth since having masshealth as many know is such a up hill battle to find providers. The day following the bite my middle finger was horrific with my right hand swelling and the systemic infection creeping up my lower arm and swelling. I went to Orleans Urgent Care ASAP Monday morning and was treated by Dr. Kevin Allan, RN Garrett and a lady nurse whose name I don't have. All of them were excellent although having the big purple/black blisters the size of dimes ripped off my finger with gauze while doused in iodine was like field treatment out of M.A.S.H. It hurt a lot and I had to ask for local shots of Lidocane to numb it. That aside, the emergency treatment I had over three consecutive mornings with antibiotic shots in my butt and oral antibiotics was very effective and saved me from what might have been a few days on an antibiotic drip in hospital and possibly much worse. The rapidly swelling arm was a clear indication of a very serious toxic infection that could have cost me my finger, maybe worse. Thank you to everyone at Orleans Urgent Care.
