I reached out to Urban Stems by email (attaching a picture of what she received) and I was shocked to receive a response the same day. Erika with The "Happiness Team" emailed me and agreed that what was sent was nit what I purchased. She gave me two options (a credit for next year or a re-delivery NOW that meets my expectations). I opted for the latter. My daughter just received a BOATLOAD of spectacular flowers and was blown away. That's the reaction I wanted on her birthday, but better late than never. I ordered from Urbanstems, had an issue and thought it was resolved. Well, I spoke too soon. This company attempted to fix my disappointing issue 4 times for one order. They gave me a credit at one point and I chose something different, spending $43.00 more than the original order. The floral arrangement they sent was substandard with roses that were obviously not fresh, already opening with soft centers. Then, after being notified, they sent another plant that was the original order and less expensive. So buyer beware, this company is inept in handling issues and try to pacify you with less expensive replacements. They also failed to include the message card on their first THREE attempts to make this order right. The roses were not fresh and all 3 plants turned brown. I entered an address for a flower arrangement for my aunt who just lost her husband of over 50 years. I noticed the mistake right after I placed the order and emailed the company. I have used Urban Stems for a few years now. I am impressed by the quality of the flowers, the variety they offer and the quick shipping. I had some points that equated to $20 off if I chose to redeem. My double bouquet already qualified for free shipping so I thought that an extra $20 off sweetened the deal. Unfortunately, once I redeemed my points, the shipping cost came back on and it was like the $20 off was wasted. I chatted with an agent, Angel, and he let me know that you can not stack the discount and free shipping but generously refunded the shipping cost to my original payment method. The flowers were, of course, dead at that point and the vase was also different from the one in the photo (dimensions, shape, color). After multiple contacts and conversations, customer service tried to send a new bouquet which is 5 days past due and has not arrived. They were always kind and polite in communication and eventually refunded my purchase price. My initial set of " The Peony and The Peony Tulips" arrived dead , and withered something I have personally never experienced with 1800 flowers nor pro flowers. Naturally I emailed customer service who stated and I quote "Based on the photos you sent, I believe your tulips are still in good shape and will last well in your vase with a little bit of TLC. If you trim the stems several inches and place the tulips in bright light they should perk up for you. Tulips arrive around 14-inches tall but with this particular type of stem, they actually continue to grow in the vase and can become top heavy, which gives the tulips a droopy appearance even though they still have lots of life left in them. Every couple of days, replace the water and re-cut your stems by about 1 inch or so. As for the peonies, I do want to encourage you to be a little patient with your peonies. They're really special stems, and unlike some of our other bouquets, they travel best when shipped dry and in bud form. So when you first open the box, the flowers may look quite tight and the leaves may seem a little droopy. But if you give them a fresh cut and get them into a vase with water, they'll rehydrate and typically bloom within a day. We also recommend stripping most of the foliage from the stems to help more water reach the blooms. Ultimately, your peonies will last longer in your home when they arrive this way. So if you give your peonies a little time, they should develop into the showstopping blooms that you know and love. Additionally, if the peonies haven't bloomed after 1-2 days, try soaking the heads in warm water for a few minutes then blotting them dry and/or knocking the heads gently on the counter. Both techniques can help to break up the sugars in peony blossoms that hold the petals closed. Thank you so much for understanding and being patient with your peonies. I'm the recipient of a Mother's Day bouquet from Urban Stems and am very impressed by this company. If anything, the delivered flowers look even better than the online photos. The bouquet is predominately roses and 8 days after they arrived they still look fabulous. In my experience roses start fading much sooner than this. Beautiful fill for the bouquet, too, both in color and texture. My own photos don't really do them justice. read more

Don't trust this company with your business. I helped my dad, who is too ill to go to the florist, order flowers for my mom for their anniversary. I ordered several days in advance and delivery was set for Jan 17. On January 16, the order was out for delivery on a truck. However, it was not delivered until January 18- two whole days later, when the bouquet was no longer fresh and the stems were broken. To make matters worse, when the bouquet was already late, the offered me a replacement or a full credit for the item. However, they reneged on this offer after it was delivered, even though it was a day late, had been on a truck for two full days, and my mom told me the flowers were old, sad looking, and with broken stems. Now the only thing they will offer is a refund on the shipping only for a partial credit towards a new bouquet. Now my parents are both disappointed and I will never trust this company again. read more
