I ordered a double bouquet for my 81 yo mom from our family to be delivered on the Wednesday before Mother's Day since we were unable to be with her this year. Not only did the wrong (and dead) flowers get delivered, it even had the wrong card!!!! Then the offered a refund or a new bunch of flowers to be delivered on Monday (one day late). This was after many emails because there is no customer service to call. They only offered free shipping, but ok. Then the base I ordered didn't arrive. They wouldn't have mentioned that it was out of stock of course, but I had to ask my 81 year old mom to send me a picture. They then offered to send me another bouquet and the vase on Wednesday. I said to please just give me a refund....and they refunded me for the vase. I suggested they make this right by offering me a bigger refund, and haven't heard back. So a year ago I purchased two bouquets to gift for Mother's Day. Half of the flowers were broken, moldy, or dead. I was offered to resend or store credit. As Mother's day had then passed, I chose store credit. So now here I am trying to use my credit before it expires, but knowing I don't really want the cut flowers I had a horrible experience with last time. Great news, they have potted plants so i chose to go that route. On Monday, I chose 3 potted plants, two being green leafy plants and one was a potted hydrangea. There was a 25% discount I used and lucky for me the whole purchase, including shipping, was covered by my credit. However, when I go to check out I kept getting an error code stating that my address was unable to be delivered to. I entered 5 more addresses (mom,bff,sister,dad,in-laws) and was notified that those addresses were also unable to be delivered to. So I jump over to the 24/7 live chat, they were unable to help so asked for my email so someone could reach out and find out what's going on. After about two days or so of going back and forth, they let me know that plants and flowers are not able to be delivered from the same order (mind you all three items are listed in their "plants" tab on the website) so they said I'd have to place two different orders. Now once I go to place the two separate orders the 25% off is gone, and free shipping is off the table because the cart totals are not enough to qualify. I let customer service know all of this and they offered a 20% off OR free shipping for the inconvenience, but that the system will only let me use one code so to choose whichever benefitted me better. I asked if they could honor the 25% off since this was an issue on their end that delayed my order and was their fault I was unable to place the order on Monday when the promo code was current. The response I got was "I understand how you're feeling about it. However, that's the standard policy. Promocodes are not permanent." Now don't get me wrong, I KNOW promo codes are not permanent but I thought that after all the trouble I'd been through, and since it was an issue on their end that took a whole work week to sort out, they should honor the 25%. Now it's Friday and since they did not agree to honor the 25%, I used the 20% code, but two of the three items I wanted were now sold out or no longer even listed on their website. With the credit all I was able to get was two plants then I settled on a bottle of prosecco since there was nothing else I wanted and just wanted to use the credit before it expired. I emailed customer service to let them know I was unhappy with they way things went and that placed the order reluctantly for things I didn't even want, just so I could use the credit. And what do you know they magically found a discount code to "refund me" 5% of my total purchase price. Refunding 5% to my store credit doesn't do anything for me. Coming from the customer service world myself I am really disappointed with how this turned out. This is by far the worst shopping experience I've had, maybe ever, and will never use or recommend this company to anyone. Now I just hope that the items I ordered are in acceptable condition. read more

I'm sorry to say the flowers I received from UrbanStems for Mother's Day were a disappointment--twice. I received the first bouquet 5/9 @ !:00PM. I knew immediately there was a problem. The roses were very dry, fully opened and a couple crushed. I tried cutting the stems and getting them in water within. 15 minutes, but it was obvious they would not survive long. My son contacted you to let you know and you agreed to send a replacement. Those flowers arrived 5/14 and were lovely. However, by 5/18, they too were distressed. I had cut the stems daily before putting them in fresh water and preservative. I attempted to revive the baby roses Iby putting them in a water bath. That worked for a few hours. The rannaculus were gone the second day. I photographed both the first and second arrivals yesterday. An expensive bouquet should have survived at least a week with proper care. I will photograph the last one today and attach all. My son told me he has sent flowers to others from UrbanStems. I hope they were more successful. read more

This is a company that used to turn out a decent product but has been cutting corners for over a year now and it shows. Almost every bouquet I have ordered has had issues from flowers no longer fresh to those that never opened. A recent order of peonies had only 2 of them open while the others died. It became normal for me having to contact the company to get a replacement. The latest twist was sending a bouquet to a friend after serious surgery. They neglected to include the card. We only found out two weeks later as we reached out, thinking our friend wasn't doing well as she hadn't responded. They have also gone from having a real person answer the phone to an AI system that can't help you to a rigid form where you can't express what had gone wrong. There is no email address listed on their site so you have to Google it. It's a poor product from start to finish. read more

My mother in law's was dinky and came with a clear vase when I paid over $30 for a gold hammered vase. My other mother in law said all of the flowers were in full bloom and wilting. The arrangement would cost $20 at Trader Joe's but I wanted to do something nice for her so ordered this. The orchids came potted in soil with moss on the top and bottom of the individual little pots. Orchids are epiphytes and everyone knows they are potted in bark. When I went to St. Louis to visit 3 weeks later and saw the orchids I could not believe what I saw. They were rotting and smelled horrible. (1/15/26 update) Adding on as I saw the comment on this review from the business owner asking for the chance for customer service to review this case. Before leaving this review I had already given them that chance. I reached out via live chat and was told nothing could be done. I then reached out via their email (as the comment on here suggests I do) and again was told basically sorry but too bad. Mistakes and misunderstandings happen, which is why I gave them the chance to make it right before leaving this review. If they would like to re-review what I already took time to submit to their customer service two times and get back to me again, that would be welcome. My order number was 3655629. Very disappointed. Trusted this company with a very important gift for a big moment in my life, asking my sister to be my maid of honor. I spent over $200 (after a discount) to send her a large bouquet and a bottle of wine with a message asking her to be my MOH. When you view the bouquet online, it gives you the option to add a bottle of wine. I assumed, as I feel the average person would, that this means the wine would be sent with the flowers. Unfortunately that's not the case. They send them completely separately. What is the point of "adding on" an item to your bouquet for it to arrive separately? That was absolutely not made clear when I placed the order. They charged me $37 to ship the wine, which I assumed was an additional charge because alcohol comes with additional shipping restrictions. I was willing to splurge for it since this was such a special moment to me. I could've door dashed her some wine for significantly cheaper if I realized it would come separately anyways. On top of that, I scheduled my delivery for a day when I knew she'd be working from home. There was a box you could check on uncheck at checkout to note if you're open for early delivery. I unchecked it to note that I was not okay with early delivery, but they attempted delivery a day early anyways on a day when she was not home. I contacted customer service and they basically said sorry but too bad. They couldn't help and they didn't offer me anything to make up for the deceptive practices or soured experience. Will not use this company again. Wish I could've delivered something to her myself but we live across the country from eachother, so I trusted this seemingly reputable brand with this important moment. I won't make that mistake again. Turns out, they didn't even deliver the flower portion on the day the delivery was scheduled for. No email, no tracking number, no follow up about the flowers being delayed. So now my sister got her MOH proposal with ONLY a mini bottle of wine and the note, and will wait minimum two more days to receive the bouquet. read more

I looked everywhere for a high quality bouquet of Peonies and found an amazing bouquet at Urban Stems. Service was awesome once I received my delivery from FedEx late. The box was tagged for Saturday delivery but wasn't delivered until Monday. Peonies are delicate and they were not in good shape upon arrival. I contacted them through the website and sent a few pictures of them, and an entirely new bouquet was sent out immediately. I'm completely satisfied with their service, and their product. However, I wanted my mother to have a nice big bouquet for a big birthday. Buying a vase at their prices was absurd, so I choose to go with the no-vase option. What my mom received was two separate bouquets in one box. For $180 (after discount) I expected a bit more pomp and care. Literally just showed up a couple of bunches of flowers in a box.
